Learning how to do your own garage work is something else. Go girl! My dad had a taxi company. When I was 20 years old he gave me a car. I thought wow what a dad. But the thing was the car broke down within two or three weeks. The gas pump went. He helped me pull at home. Then he put a gas pump on the corner of the kitchen table with the gasket and he said the wrenches are downstairs. Or you can tell it to the garage and pay $75 an hour and let somebody fix it for you. I learned very quickly the value of repairing my own car. Alternators. Batteries. I even replaced the starting motor with two broken starting motors using parts from both. So now when I pull out $1,200 to have the ball joints fixed on my Wrangler, I realize the value of having a garage fix it for me. I could do the job myself, but I don't want to. I can afford it now. But I learned how to be a grease monkey at a very young age.

tell ya what. saftey glasses are amazing. if only i would have been wearing them when i got a sliver of metal embedded in my eyeball while changing a transmission. took 3 trips in 1 week to the eye specialist to grind it out. needless to say, i learned my lesson
It actually was that they changed the headlights midway through the production year. I found out that fact trying to find a headlight bezel for an early 78. Ford did that sometimes. All ford models of the f series changed except the f600
Agree with Retrogamer. Square then became standard for all packages for 79. I had a 78 round headlights standard Bronco and wish I never sold it. Square were optional in other packages that year.
@@dpdmobile hate to depress you but ALL options packages in late 78 received the square headlights. My information on that came from a Ford Motor company employee. In early all were round. There are early trucks the have square headlights but they are converted because of accidents or an owner liked the square better. The gentleman who gave me this information worked for Rick Hunt Ford in Warrenton VA and an auto repair mechanic from 1949 till 1987. So I think he would know.
Steven Baker thanks for the clarification. 1978 Bronco brochure mentions square headlights for Ranger XLT Package with photo on the left and photo on the right shows the round headlight version with no mention under Custom remarks. Always figured round was early in the model year and just phased out due to “details and options subject to change” and to simplify production. I do miss my 78.

Square instead of round, always thought that as well. When I started at a Ford dealership 18 years ago I had that question. Learned late 1978 model year some came square lights. Happiest Saturday from Nova Scotia, blessings, amen.
Glad to see that dash pad has found a good home and isn't sitting in my house anymore.

Love seeing a young lady learning how to fix her vehicles and love seeing a young lady that knows her vehicle be very proud bc there isn't a lot of woman out there that cN do this
Perv
Love that kev just isn't doing it all for ya and letting you work on it so it really feels like YOUR truck and ya really get to form a connection/bond with it....
It's great seeing Mook again. Love her smile and energy.
This is awesome! I started my F100 1978 project yesterday. Its Nice to see other young peeps like me getting init 👌
I always coat my battery wires with a thin coat of dielectric grease before attaching to the terminal.
You might invest in a cheap magnetic parts bowl, it will save you from losing those pesky little screws. Also a box of nitrile gloves in your size will save some of the damage to your hands. Great energy! Not afraid to tackle a difficult job. I have worked to instill that into all 3 of my daughters. You go girl!
Cool, I loved this video, thanks for teaching us how to remove and replace the dashboard, I salute you from Monterrey México, My name is Jesus Rodríguez...!!!
tell ya what. saftey glasses are amazing. if only i would have been wearing them when i got a sliver of metal embedded in my eyeball while changing a transmission. took 3 trips in 1 week to the eye specialist to grind it out. needless to say, i learned my lesson
Mook is so frickin awsome and beautiful cant wait for the next episode
This is giving me flashbacks to 16 year old me disassembling the dashes on my ‘80’s Lincoln Towncars. So many screws!
78 custom had the round headlights and all other packages of 1978 had the square headlights
@@dpdmobile me too.
I show Your Videos to my Daughters. I tell them they can do anything they want to do.
Watching Mook’s facial expressions.😉
One of the best videos i‘ve ever seen on YT!!!
Mook, you‘re great!! Please keep on doing stuff like this and uploading videos about it!
I looooove your humor!! Your comments on what you‘re doing are soo much fun!!!
Love ya!! 👍🏻😘
Kevin "this truck makes me want to drink a coke and whiskey"
Cheers to that!
It's a great feeling I really like these old fords .I am a owner of a 1990 ranger it wouldn't start for along time so when I get it started I was so excited .I am happy to see that you get it up and running.
Remember old adage! Start all before you tighten any..
Mook takes me back to the country I don't get enough of
I can't get over mooks cuteness and goofiness😍😂
Square instead of round, always thought that as well. When I started at a Ford dealership 18 years ago I had that question. Learned late 1978 model year some came square lights. Happiest Saturday from Nova Scotia, blessings, amen.
LoL. Mook said, I need a different tool and then Kevin appeared. LoL.
Doe's that mean she thinks Keven is a tool ? lol
That paperboard glovebox is in remarkably decent shape. The truck that keeps on surprisin'.
Wow Mook your good I should send you a magnetic tray so you don’t lose your bolts and screws
Luv Your delivery of the 1978 trim and options like square headlights. Remarkable!
