Thats all good and fun. But on the Blender 2.9 that I am running, shift click doesnt do a damn thing and I followed step by step.
I had to take my cube and delete all the vertices but one because your method does not seem to exist on my computer.
When I mirror the vertex, and check clipping and add the cage thing, when I extrude my vertex, its locked along the Z Axis. No matter what I do it wont move on freely. I didnt push E X Or E Y Or E Z. So that rules that out.

This is brilliant, Nhi! I'd been avoiding mesh modelling like this due to my own impatience, but watching this, and following the steps, taught me a lot about adhering to a reference and using all of the feature available in order to construct a very good model!

I'm going to be honest, at first, I thought the lack of dialog was going to be a problem. And while I do think some verbal instruction would help some areas I feel I had to take the video much slower and really pay attention to what was going on here. That in a lot of ways really helped me. So, thank you

I have watched this video a few times to understand what your process is and used many of your techniques in conjunction with some other head modeling videos and I am starting to get the hang of it. Will do a few more runs through creating a head and move on to your next videos. Keep up the great work!

How did you make the edges move from front face to side face @5:12 ? How did it move just by pressing numpad 3 ?

The problem for me as a beginner is that you don´t explain WHY you do,WHAT you do. I´m glad that this is without alot of talking without getting to the point..but still lacks reason as to why you do the stuff you do...

Well, you should try beginner's tutorial then. Try 'Blender Guru' s tutorials. You'll get the basics.

I ran into a problem at 9:42. The mirror half has no points I can select as visible in the tutorial. So I can't merge them. At center, at cursor and collapse are the options I get when I press M.

If you want to get rid of the triangle at ua-cam.com/video/fQZ7TEdFdMU/v-deo.html all you need to do is add a corner to the mouth, this doesn't seem to do any damage to the edge flow just redirects it a bit, but not in a really bad way, if you like it as is, there's no problems with tris, I'm just sort of used to having a corner in the mouth, helps a bit with rigging and animation at later stages.

@@unrealgame192 I'll be honest with you, I kind of forgot the context for this, so I can't remember how I did it here, or what model I was using this as a guide for, but maybe just loop cut perpendicular to the edge along the jaw, that should lead back to the mouth and will help with the other things I said.
