    Shave with the grain. Everyone’s hair grows in a different direction. Map out your face on a piece of paper. Find your grain pattern using a cotton ball. When you go against the grain the cotton will stick to your face. Best tip I ever learned with shaving.

    I like your use of legendary rap quotes to make your points! That should be your calling card for future videos bro. That sets you apart from the rest. Great all around follow up review btw.👍

    What a time to be alive!!! I saw Bevel for the first time a week ago on IG. Said he wouldn’t sell because he wanted to stay Black owned. Saw the kit for sale at Target today for $89.99.
    I’ve never used a “safety razor” before. Ever! At 30 something I had to watch the bevel tutorial and this tutorial on how to shave with a safety razor! I might have to stick with this ya dig!!!

    Hot towel your face first (not crazy hot just warm enough to open your pores and then apply priming oil. Best shave I've ever gotten

    This video popped up in my recommendations. I almost never like, comment, and subscribe. But the two quotes from biggie and Hov made me wanna take the time lol

    Dom did that so hopefully u won't have to go through that 🤣 I bet that went over 95% of peoples head. Its crazy how your video popped up as soon as I started shaving with the with the Gillette skin guard... (you tube got its ways) are you still using bevel what kind and if not, what are you using now.

    Bevel is very mild. Harder to get close shave but great if you safer from bumps and ingrown hairs. Gillette Wilkinson Sword from India are more mild and cheaper blades to put in your bevel.. if you need more mild

    Would you recommend this system for a teenage boys first kit?

    • @mutebam.1194
      @mutebam.1194 5 років тому

      It's an over priced kit trust me that no razor bump stuff is bullshit, you can get that with any razor it's how the person uses it

    How often do you shave?

  • @GymGyp
    @GymGyp 7 років тому +3

    Did you shave with, across, or against the grain. With seems to cut nothing for me. Especially in the tougher areas of my face

    • @dominicjordane5606
      @dominicjordane5606  7 років тому +2

      GymGyp For men with coarse or curly hair I would recommend shaving with the grain, never against. Shaving against the grain just sets you up for razor bumped face nightmare.

    • @GymGyp
      @GymGyp 7 років тому

      Dominic Jordane How do you feel about going across the grain. No razor or blade has yet to cut my hair going with the grain. If I do a complete shave, I am often left with that really rough early stubble

    • @dominicjordane5606
      @dominicjordane5606  7 років тому

      GymGyp I refuse to shave across blade lol. Too risky. The stubble that you feel is normal. Bevel isn't designed to give you that close of a shave. If it did... you would get razor bumps. Don't worry about the razor stubble, people won't be able to tell.

    • @GymGyp
      @GymGyp 7 років тому

      Dominic Jordane I don't mind the look of the stubble, but the feel. Don't like the coarseness of it

      I'm not black but I'm Puerto Rican n I have course curly facial hair. The only way I can go against the grain is with absolutely zero pressure, and only on my face. My neck get bumps if I go against the grain no matter what. I never used the bevel blades but the personna comfort coated blades are the sharpest n most comfortable I've tried so far. Remember, sharp blade, zero pressure

    I just got the system three days ago and made the mistake of making multiple passes too. How long did it take your skin to repair from that mistake?

    Bevel isn’t innovative, wetshaving has been around for decades; bevel just capitalized on marketing to people of color. Vintage Gillette safety razors are one of the cheapest ways to get into this kind of shaving and there are many better shaving soaps, aftershave Balms and splashed that perform far better than the stock bevel products. Take this to heart and educate yourselves on wetshaving.

      True, but they did put some thought behind the razor itself. Wet shaving is definitely the way to go though to prevent bumps. I highly recommend the bevel blade for those with sensitive skin not looking for a close shave. I have the bevel blade and the Murkur Futur along with various shaving soaps and aftershaves.
