I'd like to see Nancy pickling the peppers. Ive always been interested in the process...
I agree with Ben.
Nancy did a super video a while back on making refrigerator pickled peppers. I have used her recipe and it is delicious.
Definitely would like to see you guys pickling these peppers. Maybe I can get my sweetheart to do it for me when I grow them:)
Found there pickled pepper video:) ua-cam.com/video/Yvmquu69LQY/v-deo.html
Cool! Thanks...
just going through a rough day today I saw this video and as many others as I watch you guys progress in your life this helps thank you God bless
Hello Hollis and Nancy. Enjoying your videos so very much appreciated. My husband stuff the banana peppers with a sausage mix, and bakes them in the oven. The banana peppers have more flavor than the bell peppers stuffed. Make up your own sausage recipe, and give it a try. So Good!
That sounds very tasty!! Must try❤️
I really appreciate you taking the time to show the plants progression over the season!
I love your videos Hollis and Nancy! I'm a young mom in my twenties and I took up gardening and hydroponics last summer. My kids enjoy helping me and they love to eat vegetables. I really appreciate all the gardening tips and cooking too. You guys are awesome and an inspiration! 💜 Kendall from NC
I just want to say how much I enjoy your videos. You explain everything so well. Thanks for all the great tips.
Thank you so much for watching ❤️
So glad to see you guys back again!!! :) God Bless y’all ❤️
I just found your channel as a complete gardening moron , I need all the help I can get and the way you explain and show things is exactly what I need! So happy I found you, what a blessing!
Wow I was amazed at how many grew after you took off that first harvest. That was such a good tip :)
Yes....good tip. They do such a great job growing things.
Sarah marinkovich-durfee I pull all the first bunch of blooms of mine. I think it helps to produce a lot more very quickly.
I am soo glad to see your videos again. God Bless
Thanks for your video!
Banana peppers are so nice as a breakfast dish, I cut them up & then add olive oil & cook on low for about 20-25 minutes, then add an egg in & scramble it all up! So delicious
That sounds tasty! ❤️
Thank you for the tips! Never knew the first harvest approach.
I love how you have a follow up to a harvest to show the plants production
Very well done guys! Love the pepper video.
This is great. I am growing BPs this year. Take care. Lucas

Beautiful!!!!!
Hollis, thanks for the tips.
Really beautiful peppers.
Thank you! This video answered my question exactly (I had one banana pepper growing and just one, snipped it and hope the plant strengthens now and will produce more)!
So happy any time I see that you have another vlog up. So happy you and Nancy are back. Anytime I want something that isn't on the budget I ask if it will get me land or help my husband retire early. The answer is no so I keep on saving and pray that it is in God's plan that we get land and I can get out of this city and with God that my husband can retire early/ Nancy you are such a sweet person and I understand the cancer. Lost a brother and sister to cancer. The other brother and sister have both had cancer in their lives. I try eating only real food and no processed. So glad that you will be building a home for your mom to be there. I lost mine several years ago and wish so much I could go back in time just to tell her I love her and how bless I was to have her for a mom. My kids are grown now and have busy lives. It is time for my husband and I to save for our dreams now and they will just have to understand.
Beautiful peppers!!

It's great when you grow your own vegetables
I can't believe there's this much info about plantsn
Thanks for watching Josh
I was holding off on picking mine to pickle a bigger batch, but thank you for encouraging me to pick off the first pepper- I pickled the single banana pepper with a handful of ripe jalapeños, and a couple weeks later I have 8 big banana peppers!
Now you talking!! Keep up the good work👍
I am in Ohio. My pepper plants have 2 bent yellow peppers. I thought I had done something wrong. Glad you had this video. Going to pick these now. Thank you so much and God bless.
Enjoy your wonderful sweet peppers❤️. Thanks for watching
Your videos have the best quality and sound than most of them on UA-cam. Great job and we have missed y'all...
Thank you so much! We just purchased a bunch of new equipment for videos. Should see a big improvement in the video quality in the days ahead👍
Thank you very much for sharing this information! I have had trouble for 2 years growing these. I just learned invaluable info😁 Thanks again✌💜☺
Best of luck to you with your Sweet Bananas ❤️
Oh wow! I hadn’t ever heard that about picking the first fruit set! That might explain my puny harvests! I’m guessing that applies to most peppers, like bell and jalapeño, etc.?
Yes, this applies to all peppers👍
@@HollisNancysHomestead can you grow 3 plants in one spot or should I thin to 2
Very nice! We grow them here in Texas.
Glad to see you in your new home. It's beautiful. I especially liked the tour of the outside in part 1. You definitely have space for a lot of gardening. Mostly just wanted to say hello and say thanks for the video's and knowledge you share. I hope Nancy is going to make more cooking video's too. I would like to learn more on fermenting. Thanks again Teri from Eufaula Oklahoma.
Thank you so much! Nancy will be doing a lot more videos now that she is retired👍
awesome shirt!
A very informative video! It really helped me with my plants. I found your video trying to find out why my plants began to look unhealthy and its because i need to take my peppers off to relieve the plant. Thank you
So glad our video helped you! Thank you so much for watching. Have a peaceful evening ❤️
You make itch for gardening more than I am in Feb anyway, but it is still freezing cold in PA!!!! Time to look for some fish guts until I can get out 😊
I can tell you’re a Jax boy. I saw that Skynyrd shirt from a mile away. Go jags. Great video!
I LOVE hot banana peppers!

I would love to try the recipe for pickled peppers I would love that
Great looking peppers, I mix them with jalapeno and make hot rolls
Hi sir, thank you for your great videos. Thank you for your prayer in every video also.
Could you please advise if you have a video on sprouting seedlings and the early stages of pepper growth?
We have videos on both. Scroll through the uploads on our channel👍
Amazingly helpful video. I love the prayer at the end and became an immediate subscriber. Thank you for helping me receive Christ through your video and learn how to harvest my banana peppers. Thank you so much! God bless you guys !
Just Love your videos! What do you feed your soil with after or before planting? Do you ever use worm castings?
Amazing! How tall is each plant woul dyou say? Small enough for an indoor garden?
Great tip with taking off the first fruits!! I am definitely going to do that this summer! Is it the same for all pepper plants! Bell, jalapeño, hot peppers, etc. ?
Folks I just LOVE all of your videos and will definitely try some Banana Peppers this year.
Have an odd situation here in high desert mountains of New Mexico though. We are zone 6a/6b and usually have cold weather and occasional snows. THIS winter are experiencing more of a Virginia/N Carolina winter. checking my last years bucket harvest potatoes I was shocked to find MAJOR chitting on the remaining potatoes. They are prettier than the ones I grew on purpose last year. Can I go ahead and plant these following the large bucket instruction from your videos I used last year successfully? I really don't want to lose these
beautiful Kennebeck, Yukon and lovely Blue Potato chits if at all possible. Will be planting in full sun with a heavy tarp ready in case we actually see our snow this year. y'all take care out there in Florida PS asking you because noone here has a clue. any other comments welcome!
Yes plant your taters. They need temps to be above 45 degrees.
Wow I haven't seen banana peppers in the years I didn't know you can still get the seats for those
Can you use organic fish fertilizer instead of the fresh fish? My peppers this year didn’t do good. We had so much rain . I did get about 10 peppers. By watching your videos I have learn a great deal about gardening and I am going to use it. Your videos are very informative and I thank you so much for sharing. God bless you both.
Nice looking garden and the peppers looks so healthy....how hot they get? Mild, hotter, sweet? Never use them before....they look great...I like any kind of peppers...I’ve been using jalapeños....thnx for sharing...God bless....
Thank you for this....really great video . My banana peppers are getting them black spots on them...any advise would be much appreciated.
Now that your in Florida what zone are you in? Can't wait or your spring garden 2018.
Zone 9-A
those are my favorite peppers do you have a video on pickling them?
Awwwww BingBing💕
🐶🐶🐶
amen
Did you ever do a video on pickling the peppers?
I want to try Banana Peppers this year...yours look amazing! Gives me inspiration and hope! Might pickle a few too! How many plants do you usually grow? Thanks for the nice video!
I usually grow six plants
thank you for all your tips. for beginners like myself, please tell us when (best time of the year) to best plant these vegetables and fruits.
These grow best in the spring
How many times do you top your peppers!!? I topped mine a few times last year and they got super big I was really shocked!! And it did produce alot!! I also clipped off a few suckers and started growing them in the house for the winter time!! Still going strong!! Love all your videos. 😀👍
I Will try this.
Just gotta buy the seeds.
Greetings from Nicaragua.
Hope you enjoy
They are so easy to grow from seed! I started them indoors in a red solo cup under a shop light. soooo worth it!
Have you done a video on building a harvest table? I would love to see that. Even one on the hardening table.
We have one on the processing table. There are sketches on our Facebook page if you want to build one. They are on the feed. You will have to scroll down a long ways but they are on there. I don’t have any plans for the grow table but we do have a quick video on it
Greetings (again) from Jersey :-) I am willing to give the fish a try because when I watched your vid on Chinese Cabbage I almost fell off my chair! Those are the biggest cabbages I've ever seen in a home garden. Just need to know if it matters what kind of fish I use......? Also, does it need to be frozen? And, again, you are such an awesome person (and Nancy, of course!!) to share all of your extended gardening knowledge with the masses. I am so happy i found you 2! If my onions come out like yours do, you will hear a big scream of joy from up North!
Any kind of fish will work. It does not need to be frozen. When I buy bait fish from my bait store it is frozen so I thaw it out before I use it in the garden.
@@HollisNancysHomestead THANK YOU!!! :
