  • With the Prism+ 65AL OLED TV, the price (S$2,799 presently) is sufficiently attractive enough for anyone to sit up and take notice.
Compared to other OLED TVs in the market, the latest offering from Prism+ looks to be a steal for now. But there's a catch and some areas where Prism+ shaved off to keep costs low.
Will you buy the Prism+ 65AL OLED TV? Let us know in the comments section below

I got the Prism+ AL65 TV in Nov and the OLED panel image quality is definitely better than most LCD, LED, QLED out there.. Unfortunately, the AL65 software is so unstable that the TV often cannot be powered on via remote after switch off. It may happen once in 2 - 3 days or each time I switched off the TV; The fix is unplug the TV for > 30 mins and power on via the TV physical button. Kudos to Prism+ support who followed up on the issues closely and also exchanged a new AL65 for me. Eventually, after 1+ month of unbearable TV experience, Prism+ offered me to change AL65 for Q65 Ultra as they suspect the OLED screen optimization software may be the culprit. Interestingly, I also found out that AL65's device name is "Skyworth TV SW4H-FF". No surprise about OEM nowadays but could that be the root of buggy software?
I have the Q65 Ultra running for 2 weeks without issues now. Although I desire the deep black of OLED, I am happy to accept "greyish black" of QLED for a stable TV experience. Kudos to Prism+ for their support and acknowledgement of AL65 issues. If you are considering AL65, just know the issues I had may happen to you. Hopefully, Prism have fixed them in 2023.

The issue at 6:15 is because you enabled motion interpolation.
This "aura" is standard when you have a static item moving across a dynamic background. That aura is the part which the TV algorithm is unable to interpolate between frames, because that data is simply missing in one of the two reference frame. This has nothing to do with Prism. Even a $10k TV would have the same issue.
I disable motion interpolation entirely to avoid this issue.

This video shows it quite clearly.
I find that it's easier to get used to low FPS stuttering than to ignore the aura. I just disable it entirely.

Definitely not worth it for the 2.0 and refresh rate.

At this point, there are plenty of alternatives that make more sense and have additional bang for buck for just a bit more.

Is this sponsored by prism? How can you compared C2 with prism+. The refresh rate is huge. Isn't it fairer to compare to LG A2 model instead for the same refresh rate?

At this point, get the C2. Sure it's cheap but the additional perks the C2 has is well worth the investment.
No, this TV was only provided for review purposes
