Thanks for watching! Comment any other videos you want to see from me!
Wow I am so glad I found out about this! I was so stressed about my BSN. Thank god Capella has thought of a program like this to accommodate us busy nurses. Amazing!
Omg this is amazing information, thank you for sharing!
Love this!
Update: I completed mine in 5 weeks. You really go at your own pace! Wonderful school. Wonderful program!
Nice, congrats! What was the breakdown of your classes? I'll have my ADN in March 2023 and want to begin Capella within two weeks of passing my boards.
@@ddwilliams82 I did a paper a day and didn’t wait for grades to move on to the next assignments. Also, teachers have 2 days to grade a paper. Knowing that I would write 2 papers one Monday, 2 papers on Tuesday, and 2 papers on Wednesday. Mondays paper I’d get back on Wednesday, tuesdays paper is get back on Thursday and Wednesday’s paper is get back on Friday. If you wait the weekend to write you’ll have to wait til Tuesday for grades. But if you follow what I do, you can knock out 2 classes in one week.
Wow, @Ned Bass! That's amazing! Congratulations again, and thank you for that breakdown. I enjoy writing, but it doesn't come easy to me. It might take me a whole day to complete just one paper. Lol. Either way, I'm going to challenge myself with your method. I'm sure as I keep striving, it will happen. Thank you again.
@@nedbass1 How long does the paper have to be?
Can we message?
congrats so so happy for you!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for posting this! So helpful as I finish my ADN and look towards my BSN! Best of luck to you :) Love your videos!!
Thanks!! Good luck!!
Same here … can you explain have u started BSN
I got my MSN-Education through Capella and absolutely loved the set up of the program. And between the Capella/Hospital discount and my tuition reimbursement I only spent $750 total.
That’s awesome!! Congrats!!
How long did it take you?
Wow, congratulations and thank you❤️❤️
Wow
Can you make a video explaining each class and which order you took each class? I am starting Capella soon and have seen some videos that mentioned and order that is easier! Thanks
How has your experience been in the flexpath program
Thank you for this. I’m currently attending an RN to BSN program through a local college, but it’s going to be another year and a half until I graduate 😭 I do love writing though
You can quit and switch
@@ginalex4life thankfully I’m graduating in December
Which college are you using please
🎉🎉congratulations I’ll be finished in December
Congratulations
I love info like this it helps soooo much what extra classes did you take that helped minimize the courses you needed through capella ?
Hi there,
Want to Complete your Capella nursing program in 3 months?
You mentioned videos and powerpoint presentations, do you have to write papers? Or can you replace the paper with a recorded video? Thanks!
How many pages are the papers 😅
Did you do the accelerated masters pathway through capella or just the regular RN-BSN program?
Do you get to choose if you want to write a paper, a video of yourself or ppts. Or are all of those different assignments?
8 classes
Hey, you said 1200$ before tuition reimbursement. Does that mean that it ended up being even cheaper for with tuition reimbursement? Also, do you think they will be acceptable for a CRNA school?
Heads up y'all, Capella is for-profit and you also have to find your own clinical placements.
Do at your own risk
How much did you have to pay for the whole program?
Do you recommend flexpath over guided path?
so did u have u Associates degree already going into Capella
Is Capella 100% accredited nationwide? I’ve heard some say it’s only accredited in some states and it makes me nervous
It is regionally accredited, which is more prestigious than nationally accredited. Harvard is regionally accredited as well!
How many hours of study per day and how many days a week
Did you have to take general Chen and statistics
How much is tuition per 12 week period?
Is it accredited? I worry that this would look bad on a resume if someone was looking to apply to CRNA or NP school?
Yes! It is accredited. Wouldn’t choose it if it wasn’t.
Does one need to be an Rn in order to complete this degree? Ur video was really helpful. Thanks
Yes. She is discussing the RN-BSN program but Capella does have other degrees and Flex Path is an option.
Do I have to b an Rn I would like to do this
Also, do you need to have your RN license prior to applying to the program?
Yes, I needed to submit that to my recruiter when I applied
Srry how much u paid ??
i have some EMT training can i be a DIY Nurse
Did they take all of your credits? I have approximately 100 credits and only need 20, but the RN to BSN I was attending is $$$$$$ now.
I maxed out the credits they accepted, so I’m not sure…
I've heard that it can be hard to get in touch with advisors if you need help. Almost like the support is nearly non existent. Is this true in your opinion?
Hi I just finished the program in December I had no problem getting in touch with the Professor I hope that help loved the program. I hope this help
How long did you work as a nurse before starting your BSN?
I started my job in May and started my BSN in January
I need help 😭😭
I hear that Capella’s grading system
is only pass or fail, which can make it hard to go to grad school as they may want to see how well you did in your classes. Pass or fail is too broad, is that true? Does my question make sense?
Also would like to know this!
The assignments are competency based, but correlate to a grading scale from my understanding. I got letter grades for each assignment
Once done you can request your transcript with letters. You need a proficient or higher
Are they weighted grades? A,B,C,D or is it based on a pass/fail? Also, any clinical hours?
No clinical hours.
Basic will not transfer if you want to further your education
I heard you can request letter grades
@@aking024 Thanks for commenting this! When I saw this video I went directly to the Capella website and was ready to apply. I do plan to attend graduate school so I don't know how this program will beneficial for me.
Were there any clinical requirements?
Nope, since all of my requirements were done with my associates degree.
What was your GPA at the end of your BSN?
Competency-based education is not graded on the traditional grading scale, and it's based on proficiency of ‘Mastered’ or ‘Not Yet Mastered.’ Capella, SNHU, Walden, WGU, University of Phoenix are some of the few but growing number of private and for-profit colleges offering fully online, asynchronous, competency-based degree programs that are self-paced. Tuition is subscription-based, meaning you pay one flat fee every semester or quarter, and take as many courses as you can complete within the subscription period. I attended SNHU, each course was one unit, I enrolled in September 2022 and finished in June 2023.
@@HellaBay23, so, basically, don’t earn your degree through ANY of these schools if you want to be a nurse anesthetist in the future…
Is the video of yourself optional?
