Great channel. I worked at GCU online and for other online nursing programs prior to providing educational services to veterans and their families. This is wonderful content that you have. Nurses have so many questions and as University Administrators we were often not able to be as direct with our information as some students needed, so this is great!
I'm so happy you made this video! I applied to enroll in the RN to BSN through GCU a couple years ago, but I never enrolled. I've thought about it since then, and wondered what it would be like, if it would be too hard, if I can work and manage school at the same time, how stressful it would be... I'm so glad you posted this video, thank you! ❤️
Thank you for this. I've been all over the place trying to pick an online school. My counselor have so far won me over. Hopefully start school this month.
Thats good there wasnt any tests. But what determines you being able to pass the program if theres no tests? So would you be able to pass the program that way no matter what? Im a new grad ADN, looking for a not complicated/difficult BSN bridge. Thank you!
Get it girl with your booo ❤️ I am dating someone in the army as well. He is a MP Chief. He’s up there. And he really likes me. I am working to 2 year college but I wanna do my 4 year online cus he might get stationed out in 3 years. Ty for the info sis. We’re basically living the same life 💯🙂🙏🏽
So I joined the BSN program in 2020 when Covid hit so they cancelled my clinicals, I did a large project from home with a preceptor from my home health job! I can do a video on my MSN clinicals though!
you video was very helpful for a new student starting their RN to BSN at GCU. I wanted to ask you a question. How are the professors? I must admit I am a bit nervous. I saw some reviews on the first class with the first professor teaching it and it wasn't good.
I'm glad you are on your path to getting your BSN! A majority of my professors were easy and helpful, only had a few who were hard graders and gave no slack! Any issues with professors you can always talk to your GCU counselor! Best of luck!
I have questions but I’m not on Instagram I have TikTok do u have TikTok? If not I’ll keep it here but my main question is wym the BSN program was easy tell me more please in what way and do u have to take another nclex to get ur MSN?.. Also have u thought about CRNA or dermatology/plastics and lastly what’s the diff between nurse manager, charge nurse and chief nurse officer. I’m sorry 1 more… if I wanna b an OR circulator nurse only nothin else not RNFA, not scrub nurse or any other nurse n the operating room is that a thing can I travel and just circulate everyday all day even if the scrub tech can’t come n to work will I have to scrub n or can I still stick to circulating? 🤭 I’m sorry I wrote a book🤦🏾♀️
You can possibly find one at your current job, or ask other nursing friends about maybe a preceptor at their job or even a preceptor from your RN clinicals!
If I am from California, but I took my RN-BSN online at a different state, how would licensing work? Would I automatically be licensed in California since I took my N-clex in california? Or would I have to transfer back to California?
Thank you for the information. I'm definitely NOT doing this program. Sounds like very little flexibility. You might as well go to the actual college. Weekly deadlines, group projects, and discussion questions sound horrible.
Congrats on making it to the finish line! Capstone was very easy! Alot of research for articles but that was the most annoying part! I passed with an A ☺️ Capstone course is literally the same as the other classes, 2 discussion Q’s and a paper a week then they throw in 1-2 extra assignments a week! Stay organized and do all your work!
Thank you for your response, I'm just ready to get started and be done. Today was the first day. So we will see what happens. How is your masters program going so far? Are you doing at GCU? When I'm done I plan to enroll in their Healthcare management and leadership program.
There is no “BSN state exam” - only state exam is for LVN or RN nursing license. You must just complete all assignments and pass the class in the BSN program.
Hi thanks for this video,l wish to join,is it ok if l live in Canada. I recently passed NCLEX RN. Is this RN to BSN online program can complete it our own time or it has fixed time table daily. Please reply and provide the university correct contact number. I tried to message them but no reply from them. Thank you
The Grand Canyon University BSN program has a fixed time table - you can not do it on your own time. Weekly papers & assignments due. You can call GCU and they will direct you to a counselor (:
No everyone has to take general education classes at a college (community or university) - classes like english, math, science etc. Then apply to nursing school then once you have an RN degree apply to BSN program! 🙂
Can’t wait for that video!!! I was taking prerequisites for RN at PCC & Citrus while I worked in the dental field. Then got pregnant! But after watching this series, I need to get back into school and finish!!!

Yes! You should look into it again! 👏🏽👩🏽⚕️

I wish you could be my Manager! I can already tell you will be an amazing one. Congrats on your continued success! 🙌
So sweet! Appreciate your kind words!
This was very helpful, thank you. I have been looking for this kind of video. Congratulations on getting your BSN.
Thank you! You got this! 👏🏽
Thank you soo much!! Just starting my nursing journey as LVN..
I'm new to your channel. Thank you for this information. I truly appreciate it.
What did you do about your clinical hours?
Thanks for the video love these informational videos!
This video title is misleading ... so you have to have your RN to be in this program
Yes, you need to be a RN before applying for your BSN.
Yes! RN first!
That’s self explanatory
@@litzyluna6991 that’s definitely not self explanatory..
They offer the ABSN now!
Congratulations! Very informational video, I am starting my journey with GCU for my BSN, thank you for sharing!
Congrats! It goes by quick!

1 yr and 2mo what! $13, 873 for BSN AT GCU. WOW! This video is for RN to BSN
I never considered BSN , thank you for all the info! how long was it from your CNA-BSN career?
Got my CNA in 2015! Graduated with BSN in August 2021! Graduate with Masters this April! 🎓✨
Did you already have your RN associates? What did you start with to do the BSN in 12 months? Thank you.

Crazy journey we have! But wouldn’t trade it for anything!
omg thank you so much for this video, very informative.
thank you soo much for this video this is very helpful ❤️
Depends on the facility. Some do give a raise for earning the BSN, even if still on Med-Surg
Yes, people don’t get raises for getting a BSN! Just gives you opportunities to get a better job & position, which then you make more money!
Hello, congratulations for your BSN. Can you explain us about the clinical hours!
So I joined the BSN program in 2020 when Covid hit so they cancelled my clinicals, I did a large project from home with a preceptor from my home health job! I can do a video on my MSN clinicals though!
Do you know if this program is completely accredited? Of I want to do a masters after this program, does any school would take these credits?
The first teacher Monica Kidder. Did you have her in any of your classes?
I’m an ER nurse and get a raise with a BSN degree maybe it depends on facility!
Did the raise also come after a certain time of being there ? Cause (some) hospitals will give raises annually!
I am struggling my spring semester I have midterms and bio and I do not feel like I am retaining anything

Hello Jaylin, how are you? Did you do BSN or accelerated BSN?
Thank you for this video

I didn't realise I needed a preceptor for the RN-BSN. Kind of having a hard time with that at the moment :(
You can possibly find one at your current job, or ask other nursing friends about maybe a preceptor at their job or even a preceptor from your RN clinicals!
great video

Did you have an ASN (RN) when you took this Bachelor’s Program?
Thanks!
I’m pretty sure you have to have a RN
Very helpful thank you
Thank you for the information. I'm definitely NOT doing this program. Sounds like very little flexibility. You might as well go to the actual college. Weekly deadlines, group projects, and discussion questions sound horrible.
I wish somebody would do a video like this for the asu one 😭 ty!!!
Is there any requirements to entering this program at this collage ? Thank you so much for feed back
Yes! Must have your RN before!
Plzzzz mam can you tell me what are the requirements for admission ?
I am doing my BSN from GCU, my question is Do I need preceptor only for capstone or other classes as well? Thank you in advance
Preceptor needed only for the capstone class! 🙂
Congratulations! Do they have an LVN to RN? Or just RN to BSN?
Just RN to BSN & BSN to MSN 📚
@@jaylinandfelipe what about clinicals?
That was awesome 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I have a question did you work when you were in the RN program? also, where is your watch from!?
I worked for my home health agency during my RN program! And my watch is a G Shock ☺️💕
Congratulations! I start my capstone on the 27th I am so ready to be done. How was your capstone experience?
There is so much information for this capstone class. It looks so overwhelming!!!! Any suggestions on how to tackle these assignments???
Congrats on making it to the finish line! Capstone was very easy! Alot of research for articles but that was the most annoying part! I passed with an A ☺️

im in the program now 🙂
My preceptor said I have to go for clinical . Same 11 class course.
Yes, mine was during covid so didn’t have the typical clinical requirements.
How did u take your bsn state exam without any clínical hours ?
There is no “BSN state exam” - only state exam is for LVN or RN nursing license.
You must just complete all assignments and pass the class in the BSN program.
What about your clinical classes
Hi thanks for this video,l wish to join,is it ok if l live in Canada. I recently passed NCLEX RN.
Is this RN to BSN online program can complete it our own time or it has fixed time table daily. Please reply and provide the university correct contact number.
I tried to message them but no reply from them. Thank you
The Grand Canyon University BSN program has a fixed time table - you can not do it on your own time. Weekly papers & assignments due.
You can call GCU and they will direct you to a counselor (:

Mam ihave done My cna iwanna go for bsn program online without taking rn program ..what is the duty responsibility is for bsn
You must have your RN!
Can you please tell me more about the preceptor.
Can you go from LPN to this program?
No, you must have your RN to get a bachelors degree.
Congrats on your BSN program !!
Did you have to take classes before your BSN program any requirements before taking it or just a high school diploma?
No everyone has to take general education classes at a college (community or university) - classes like english, math, science etc. Then apply to nursing school then once you have an RN degree apply to BSN program! 🙂
That means, there is no direct BSN program after prerequisites at college level?
I literally am trying to apply as a rn but I need to apply to the programs help pales
Plsssss
Look into LVN to RN bridge programs! Check out my last video on how I became an RN by doing LVN FIRST!
Update on the MSN program?!
I graduate beginning of April! New video coming soon on entire program! 🎓😊
Can’t wait for that video!!! I was taking prerequisites for RN at PCC & Citrus while I worked in the dental field. Then got pregnant! But after watching this series, I need to get back into school and finish!!!
