    Little addition. You can issue orders to reinforcements at the same time as purchasing them. Click to buy them, then hit the hotkey you want, then the position on the map you want them to go to.
    Took me ages to work that out. I use unload at position 99% of the time when I buy infantry or towed weapons.

      @@atkpwrgaming Another hidden mechanic. Once you get into the habit of doing this, it greatly reduces the micro you need to do unloading troops. Like a 10% boost in your efficiency & you will lose less units in transports, which is a further boost. Less micro = more time to think about the macro decisions.

      Ive been playing this on and off since it came out and never realized i could call in units and have them unload @ position. SUPER FREAKIN' USEFUL!

    Some awesome things I've learned on my own in a 1v0 study session;
    You can order units to follow one another. Attempting to order a halftrack to follow an infantry unit (which would work cool) doesn't work, until I tested the move fast order. Using the move fast order you can force a half track to follow an infantry unit doing an assault. Only issue is that sometimes halftracks will drive backwards following an order. It's weird.
    If you order your tanks to open fire on a building (and the building becomes highlighted when you hover over it) the tanks will fire on the building until it's destroyed. But it seems to take quite a lot of ammo to do so.
    I've also learned that you can pre-prep fire by ordering your vehicles to fire on a position and hit z to hold fire, which allows for instant arty or tank fire on a position the moment you highlight them and hit z again.
    If you highlight infantry and halftracks, hitting the right click over the half tracks will make all infantry board vehicles. If you have mortars however, I've found that it doesn't work the same way so it has to be done individually.
    An awesome option to use for arty is to send them in with cheap 5 point vehicles that have an MG on them. You can load almost every infantry unit (including artillery and at guns) into any vehicle you order in depending on the cargo space, too. If you load a certain troop into a vehicle, they will visibly appear inside the vehicle depending the vehicle until you unload them.

    The setup you’re going to wanna use; new players do change the hot keys to what best suits you: Q f/ Quick Hunt , E f/ Quick Move, R f/ Reverse, T f/ Stop, (basically the top keys are like a gear shifter for a car). Y f/ Last Awareness (ie Y as in why Tf my game making noises), Crtl Key f/ Line of Sight, I f/ Information. Z f/ unload at position, X f/ Unload, V f/ Evac. F f/ Fire Position, G f/ smoke (as in G for ghost), H/ Hold Fire. I like this setup cause I can quickly and easily press any important key that I need with one hand without having to constantly be reshuffling my hand around and losing my placement on the keyboard. Miss clicks suck.

    Love this entire series! I just bought the game 2 days ago on sale. This is a very good guide! Every skirmish I try to apply what I learn and then I watch a new video :)

    6:06 the line of sight tool used to give more accurate results, and worked in 3d instead of 2d, when first introduced. It was also very computationally intensive and caused stutters, so they switched back to the simple LOS tool.

    X is actually great under very specific circumstances. If you have infantry say, inadvertently clumped up in the woods and you see a Hvy bomber incoming, select all your units and hit X; theyll then scatter in all different directions. Ive seen top players use this, and the caster thinks its brilliant micro. :/ (NOT that a total Chad like Atkpwr Ever has units clumped up) :)

    Thanks for all the guides man. I'm enjoying the experience so far. The only major DLC I'm missing are:
    -Liberation of Italy
    -Transylvania
    -Commander Pack (ignored for now)
    I'm enjoying it a lot so far. It's fun to lose. I know these types of games have cumulative knowledge. Once you know, you don't need to practice it.
    I like a lot of the detail I'm seeing. These types of games are so hard to judge until you play. On sale? Eugen just gave me a 10 year+ game for less than $60. Even with the free DLC people seem to have viable division choices. I just got everything except the obvious skips and zero regrets even as I'm spaghetti against AI. Gotta learn what doesnt work lol

    If you ask me your most powerful tool is assigning your own hotkeys depending on your playstyle. Especially when you have additional keys on your mouse. I got mine on fall back for infantry and reverse for tanks.

    • @atkpwrgaming
      @atkpwrgaming  2 роки тому

      I really should use my mouse keys. I’m kinda afraid I’m accidentally hit them

    • @leerzeichn93

      @@atkpwrgaming thats why I got the two commands there that dont do much. Fall back command only works when they should fall back anyway and reverse command is also mostly not the worse to misclick.
      The only command on the mouse I am missing is the evacuate command for planes. I hate taht this cant bethe same key as for fall back, because it essentially should do the same 😅

    What´s the keyboard/mouse combination for the following scenario? I want to reinforce with, let´s say, 4 new infantry units (of the same type?) and place them in different buildings in, for example, nearby village?

    • @atkpwrgaming

      Click on the unit card, press the fast unload button, hold down shift and click the buildings you was the four squads to go to

      If theyre the same exact same type of unit, click tab and it will select first unit, give command, press tab and it will select second unit, give command, etc....
      If you have different types of units selected in a group, tab will select all units of the same type instead of going down the list one by one as stated above. (Thats annoying)

    Is there any way to call reinforcements in with an unload command? Or do you have to spawn them and then make sure they have the unload command afterwards

    • @atkpwrgaming
      @atkpwrgaming  2 роки тому +2

      yes! When you click on the unit then click the fast move unload button before calling them in
