I think it’s worth mentioning that Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky) hated the Torino from day one and when he was driving would make an extra effort to be rough on the cars just because he disliked them. Later on it may have also been jealousy considering the car got more fan mail than either of the human stars.
Starsky loathed the 1974-76 Torinos. Bet he would have loved to see that thing get blown up rather than what looked like a 1964 Plymouth Belvedere "doubling" for it.
Huhhh... why is bad guy disgusted as secretary 🤔 you know what don't tell me about it and can someone please explain why starsky's drives like he has no license 😅😅.
Good to see you. It looks early '60's to me. It was just an old car at the time. I can see why my friend hated the paint scheme on the Torino. It looks even stupider on the Plymouth.@@LongIslandMopars
@@mexicanspec I agree with everything you said. If we knew then what we know now about our beloved Mopars, they would have gladly burned a Ford instead.....😎
I have my first car in the back yard, 1963 US Spec Plymouth Fury and my 1963 Mexican Spec Plymouth Savoy. I am content with the two I have.@@LongIslandMopars
The close ups of the guy in the opening chase was clearly in a different car. And, I like how Starsky's Torino turned into a Plymouth when blowing up.
Pyrotechnic coordinator: “Paint a stripe on it. The fools won’t realize a thing.”

Dam good eyes, your RT, 👌 and those explosions are like fire bombs throw hot metal?
And then they come out a perfectly fine Torino in the next scene

The transvestite is driving another Torino in the inside car shots. They took a bunch of automotive liberties in '70s TV shows.

What did the fire bombed Torino turn into? 😎
Didn’t look like a Torino that was blown up, some other kind of car. Thought I saw a tail fin on the right rear side.
Mid 60's Plymouth is what it looks like.
1965 Dodge Polara 2-Door
@@CarChaseWonderland2That kills me. It looked like a 65 Plymouth but hard to tell when you paint it like a striped tomato....
@LongIslandMopars
Could very well be a Plymouth. I'm just repeating what this site thinks it is. www.imcdb.org/vehicle_111863-Dodge-Polara-1965.html
That was clearly not his car😂😂😂😂

0:10 Michael Mann? As in Miami Vice?😮
And Heat
I never thought much of the Torino. Mostly show, not so much go.
Very true but the TV Torino was souped-up Torino for the TV show other than that the Torino was just a regular midsize car
SMH. That was not the red Tomato that got burned. It was a B Body Chrysler product, 2 door no less.
Hey, @mexicanspec. Seen you in Uncle Tony's chat the other night. Yep, definitely a mid-60s B-body. What a shame.

I SEE THE BAD GUY WAS CHASE BY THE COP BEFORE
S&H sound like two of the 3 Stooges...
Never liked this show..all the actors were gay..especially starsky ..lol..
Say what you will about the crappy storylines, acting and the subtle gay vibe of the show. They none the less still had some decent car chases.
@@CarChaseWonderland2 you notice i never said a thing about the car chase ..i enjoy a car chase as much as the next guy..the show was a blower..
What do you expect from the producer who brought us The Love Boat and Fantasy Island?
@rodneybrand852
I agree.
