Actually, Homura only stole the guns, bazookas, or any weapon that could shoot faraway enemies after Sayaka (from a different lifetime) complained that she did not like seeing bombs blowing up in her face because she fought up close, not from far distance like Mami or Madoka. Nevertheless, Homura made her own bombs and other explosive weapons. So yes, she had to learn how to make her own weapons as well. After all, her time magic was not an offensive power so she must defend herself.
Specifically nice, you mean? Well, yes, they are the ones who show their caring nature the most, but the other three are also like that. They're all really good people, but Madoka-chan and Mami-san are "feeling"-type, so... yeah ^^ I pray for the happiness of all of them, though :'c
OK, so I'm not really a Madoka Magica fan but I really appreciate that you put this clip up as it highlights how important a girl's imagination is and the role it plays in what kind of magical girl she will be. Mami couldn't just imagine a gun and *walla!* she has a gun. She had know how a gun's mechanics not just just how one looks. It gave me more appreciation for this series even if it's just a little bit.
I like to think that Mami was just too classy to go around wielding modern full-auto weapons - she IS the Queen of Tea and Cake, after all... although I can imagine her using a hunting or sniper rifle.
9 years late, but I could imagine her Father teaching her to be a sharpshooter. I headcanon that she's competed in clay pigeon shooting, before, with a rifle.
I really hate how if you look at gisela's health meter you would see that it was almost half way down and mami's was almost full when the fight was stopped, thats so unfair.
Actually, you want to keep that stat moderately low. The higher that stat is, the quicker their soul gems corrupt. Once fully corrupted, the girl can not use any attacks that use SP (ie only their basic one-square (two for Kyoko) forward melee attack). In the storylines, fully corrupting certain girls will give certain endings.
Actually, those are flint-lock rifles, ironically some of the most infamously inaccurate firing weapons ever made. But whatever works for her I guess. 0_o
sounds like only Sayaka and Kyouko had the easier way out as Mahou Shoujo. Both Mami and Homura had to experiment and figure a way out to make their weapons themselves.
That's true, but it's only because Kyoko and Sayaka are more "determined" people, impulsing and they know what they want (extroverted personalities), while Mami and Homura need more time to think about their feelings, etc... Madoka probably takes a lot of time too, but in the anime, when she becomes a magical girl and has her weapon already it's probably 'cause she was totally determined to make her wish come true (and she really did think about it...) ^^ The three of them are the introverted ones of the group c:
kite136 actually no. Sayaka knew jackshit about swordmanship, she just ramdomly swinging it like baseball bat. while Kyoko wasn't any better tham Sayaka when she started early, many months under Mami's guidance had improved Kyoko's spear skills. apparently Madoka was the only one without any visible problem with archery.
I mean, look at how Sayaka fought elsa maria, no elegance at all. somehow in rebellion sayaka got better in sword, not just wildly swinging it around know legit sword technique such as thrusting
Sayaka's first weapon was a baseball bat. The length and the way to use both are pretty close, and she probably thought that's the most "heroic" weapon people would think of...

i had wondered why mami used guns and even after watching the anime a few times and it should of been obvious i did not really think the guns were made of ribbens i guess that explains somethiings
14:40 - Hmmm.... *thinking* What am I going to choose... hmmm... 14:55 - This one looks the right one for sure. ~why guns, instead of swords?~ 15:15 - "Mami's feel stat dropped 50 points" FUUUUUUUUUUUU-- 15:21 - Very well, let's start again! Hmm... I think I will choose this one ~why such an old-fashioned guns? 15:55 - Mami's feel stat raised 10 points. HELL YEAH! XD
sakura5sango6 Mami had potential to be strong. her dying at witch barrier would be a waste, Kyuubey needed Mami to kill as many witches as she could, until she became a witch herself.
Well, if you're still interested ^^' .. It's on the Playstation Portable, but as far as I know it's only in japanese. I might be wrong tho. It's called Madoka Portable I think..
AbeFilmMuncher -Chan is not gender specific, it is simply an endearing term to call somebody, even cats or dogs. -Kun is not gender specific either, it is mostly used for males, but females in a professional office setting can be refered as name-kun as a sign of respect for their profession.

Mami-san is so kind-hearted... I love her!

Am I the only one that thinks that this flashback could make a cool OVA in the near future?

but homura didn't make her weapons, she stole them from a locker room. see episode 10
"If only I had a weapon that could reach, even if I froze in place."
Anime watchers like: o o f

So that's where she got her muskets...

It's great seing Sayaka's and Mami's pasts. My respect for them just keep increasin :)
By the way, how the "FEEL" works?

Sim :)
Ah, vlw. Mas já tinha pesquisado sobre o FEEL. Já que não tive resposta por um mês :P
It's a sort of statistics for every magical girl in the game. You have to keep that stat relatively low, otherwise things so south.

High FEEL points meaning that your character can be stronger as long as you keep it under 400.
Poor Mami. She needs therapy :(
2:35 Kyuubey is caring for Mami that's scary!
He's just bringing her hope so she finally becomes a witch. The more hope, the more despair. And that is the energy he and his race needs... :c

i learned the power of bon...i mean her ribbons 1st hand :3
QAQ Please make more of these, I'm such a madoka-tard~
Yeah, that's the next one I'm going to work on.
Homura's so badass.
She actually stole them from the japanese mafia xD
haha omg i never knew!! that is so bad ass
I believe Mami's and Sayaka's. I haven't completed Kyouko's route yet, so I'm not sure about that one.
Summoning magic isn't much compatible with technology?
No, you need a complete understanding of what you're summoning. Muskets are much more simple than, say, a kalashnikov.
OMG WHERE DO I GET THIS BECAUSE NOW I WANT IT TOO!!!!!!!!!
Well, if you're still interested ^^'

But...if that child is a boy, why is her mother calling him with a "chan" isn't this used for girls?

*Ribbons Akemi XD
How exactly did you record the PSP screen? Are you using an emulator or something?
