The humble-yet-amazing guitar master goes through his modest "pedalboard."
While on tour for the album, Lage invited PG’s John Bohlinger to the soundcheck before his show at Brooklyn Bowl inn Nashville to share his insights into why he likes a straightforward rig and “honest” tone. In the interview, Lage elaborates on his three main guitars (his Nachocaster, Collings signature, and ’55 Les Paul), explains why he prefers low volume on his amps, and offers a remarkably brief tour of his pedalboard.

This is my kind of guitarist. My pedalboard is a Boss Chorus and a Morley wah wah I run thru a Fender 90, and Schecter Omen guitar.
Fascinating, perfectly understandable . . . he is a purist, essentially so there ya go! The Flint is a great piece of work, in the studio, especially if going direct, the Spring & Trem double for a Fender Twin, altho I generally use the Plate. The BIG seems pretty cool - I have the Effectrode Blackbird Tube pedal 'always on' and it does the job for me, you only notice it if you turn it off . . . it has a nice halo thing going for it with the valves.

I came here JUST to comment that I get d-bag chills from that Julian character. You can tell the host notices too after the host coughs. That Julian character looks like he has a rage-toward-waiters side to him. I would not trust that shifty fellow on the road. He seems like the kind that would stab you in the back while being as insufferable even without the betrayal.

I meet more people in a day than most do in a month, and I linger with people and get to know them. I have played in bands to the point that as a full time worker, I was STILL practicing and performing more as a musician than I was working as a worker. The Julian character in this guitar gear video is a total d-bag, and it is readily apparent from a mile away.
