In today’s video I will be talking about why I should’ve stuck with two strand twist locs instead of seeking instant gratification with instant locs.

I love how honest and real you are about starting and maintaining locks. We build emotional and physical (hair) strength on this journey. Thnx 4 sharing.
Thank you I really appreciate this☺️
Definitely 💯 agree with you on the start of the loc journey it can get rough af and when you go from a more traditional hairstyle to locs it can knock your confidence a bit but it’s a journey for a reason 😅 but I’m glad I stuck it out. I’m a year and 2 months in but it looks fire 🔥 compared to the beginning
Thank you for your honesty.
Thanks for the knowledge brother
I have very straight hair and pet a. Few locticians it would take a very long time to loc … if it locked…. In their words. So I may do instant Locs. Patience is something I pride myself in, but waiting for something that may never happen because of my soft, smooth straight texture is not something I am willing to do.
Instant locs will only unravel if they’re not done well. I did it myself and I’m not good so I’ve had unravelling but I know it’s my fault. But you’re right, no matter what the method it’ll take a few months to start budding. There is no short cut 😂
I started with two stand twists and my hair locked in two months
I just got my instant locs. Great video
Hey it’s been 2 months how’s your journey going?
@Theempressoflove Its going good. Getting instant locs was definitely the best option for me. Less unraveling.
@Theempressoflove I have a couple of videos posted. If you have time, check them out
Hi i started my instant locs 2/3 months ago, the problem is when i wash them they become lose/ lose shape and have to crotchet them again. Is this normal? And if so when will it stop? Also have long will it take till they loc on their own without the crotchet needle? Thanks ❤
After u first get em there is a bit of time u wanna wait before u wash them again cuz the water will loosen up the crochet especially depending on how tight your loc person put them in
I started my hair myself with 2 strand 4 months ago. But i still have on some spots unraveling of the loc. Im so sad about it. But 99% of my hair is locd. But stil in the middle of my head, and in the back, I still need to two strand the hair again. Its so irritating. But im hanging on. 😂
Yesssss I feel your pain when I started my loc journey my locs was really unraveled I expected them to loc out within the first month but the truth is my hair is not fully locked don’t get me wrong I have came a long way from where I started but the results that I once thought was going to happen in beginning ended up coming much later
@@Sillystar121 Patience is the key😆
Keep hanging in there sis it will get better❤❤
Any professional person in Riyadh or Dammam?
I don’t think he has a 4c curl pattern.
Inqondwr why people dont braid them like i did and they will grow out into locks in time. Ive done this 3 times and its worked for all my past shoulder length growth and it doesnt unravel on you early on
My locs is 1 month old as of today and my hair have grow a lot already my mom wants me to get instant locs because she don’t like the process and how my hair look but I am I’m trying to tell her that I don’t want them and I just want to go through the process but as of now she keep pressuring me to get instant locs and she keep comparing my locs to others thag she see from videos
trust she will regret what she saying in like 9 month time
Congratulations on your first month, how are you feeling about it so far? When I first started growing my hair out my mom wanted me to cut it so you’re definitely not alone. I’m glad you’re standing your ground. It’s important for your mom to know everyone’s loc journey is different and no one’s locs look the same. You’ll always have our support!

@@thesnows4 thanks so much for this support I’m happy that I’m not alone in this and that someone understands me also I’m loving my loc journey so far I already can’t wait for the 2nd month 😍💞
@@curfewkid false the regular process is annoying and hard
Instant locs worked for me, there is a technique with it however
So... I had 3 sets of locs. Palm roll method.
If i get instant locs to start... Can you palm roll to continue the journey??
You can palm roll or interlock
How often should I wash my hair with starter twists
You should really just wash the scalp. Many resources detailing how, but one way is to rub an astringent on the scalp. Another strategy is to wash with a stocking cap covering your hair.
my hair type prevents it from locking properly so they said the only loc I could get was instant
should I still do it?
always wanted locs
It doesn’t matter what type of hair you have. All hair can lock. It probably will just take your hair a little longer to lock. The process will be worth it in the end. I didn’t get instant locs though. Loc your own hair. You will appreciate the process more. I’m three years in. It going to be okay. And, don’t let anyone discourage you.
I DIDNT REALISE LOCS WAS THIS MUCH WORK ,I STAY WITH FAUX LOCS !
Locs aren’t much work at all if you have a loctician to do the work for you its the easiest hairstyle
I think your instand locs wasnt done tight ...i juat did mine a month ago and these are so tight thwy have no where going
How are they going if I may ask? I’m getting mine on Friday.
Bro is glazing his girl 😭
