The rear legs of the seat should be secured on tracks so that it will not move side to side. You have to eyeball the rear of the seat to make sure it's centered. After my first trip out, I got off the water and realized the rear legs were not level on each side. Other than that, and wishing the seat was a little higher, I love the P127.

There is a gasket that runs around the hatch that prevents water from entering in high seas or rain. Flipping the kayak is pretty unlikely as it is very stable, however, if you do flip it is possible that water may seep in slightly over time. It would likely be very minimal water seepage (if at all) by the time you flip the kayak back over. Hope this helps!

@@garywilliamson5535 unfortunately the SS127 isnt the same as the P127...you would think it would be the P127 without the P...but it's missing most if not all of the new features that are in the P127. I run the SS107 and love it...just wish I could get some of the little "extras" that are in the P127 without paying the ~$1,000 premium for the pedal drive I'll never use.
