Honestly, we love to hear it, We are always trying to create innovative fishing experiences. Wide stable kayaks are nothing new. The XTR design however adds features that fill the space btw a kayak and a small bass boat. Whatever you call it we hope it means more fun on the water and landing more fish!
That boat is sick! 👏 I’ve seen all the comments…I think some people forget, you make smaller kayaks too. So for those of us that want something like this, thanks!
My son is 11 months old and I've been on this fence about picking up a small bass boat or jon boat to get him out on the water with me. Those options just didn't feel right being that I love kayak fishing so much. Thank you for creating the perfect solution!
I have a jon boat for just that reason, but this is so much more convenient. Just put it up for sale and contacted the local dealer about one of these.
My John boats is salt water worthy. Has a hands free GPS spot lock system. Fish finder, swivel seats. Outriggers, rod holders galore and trailer all for $800. I've fit 3 people on mine. Just some food for thought. I just download the map of the lake I am going to and the autoboat spot lock GPS system just automatically navigates me through the lake with minor adjustments made on my remote. Hands free fishing machine. It's so light I can pickup my boat lol.
Just saw the release of the PA 25 and just wanted to say the designers at Bonafide and Native should be proud of the work the put into both the PWR and XTR to push the industry forward, with many of your features now present on the new PA.
Very Excited about this new model! Great way to enjoy a full tournament set up with the ability to take a friend or child with you to enjoy your time outside!
I was excited for about 1/2 a minute, and then I realized this is no longer a kayak. It's a skiff! which means paddling it would be hellish. battery dies because you got caught in a strong current boom, you have to paddle 4miles against current and no can do... Furthermore, since this will follow the price inflation protocols we have seen for kayaks since 2015, this boat will also be in the price range of a skiff or larger used bass boat. It is sad to see how completely Kayak designers have forgotten the essence of what a kayak fishing platform is. It is frustrating to see how they have gotten caught up in an arms race for the most expensive biggest "kayak like" boat they can make. (kind of following the ridiculous midsize truck race to the bottom). Here is the thing Bonafide, and all the other expensive kayak makers: #1 a kayak needs to be GREAT at paddling or pedaling. it should be stable for sure but also fast. this should always be the case WITHOUT a motor. #2 a kayak can't weight so much that a single kayaker exhausted after fishing/paddling/peddling all day, can't easily get it onto their vehicle. #3 perhaps most important a plastic KAYAK cannot be a similar price to a larger more practical fishing boat used or new, ie if your Kayak cost as much as a used center console you have failed in your job. Sure Hobbie started the trend, but why follow it. (I am not talking about a carbon fiber ocean kayak, or wood lathe custom kayak, or an exotic material kayak or a competitive custom racing kayak). The economic issue here, is that the outdoor market will eventually come back down to earth from the ridiculous heights of the covid years, and you will have to figure out how to make money again through volume versus over inflated insane margins. Kayaks were always a tool for anglers to circumvent the overpriced excesses of the leisure/bass boat industries, now they just seem intent on competing with those overpriced toys by being even more ridiculous... Seriously what kind of kayak designer never mentions a paddle or paddling performance while presenting a new kayak?
Literally the rest of their lineup paddles fine. In particular, the RVR, RS, and SS. Maybe if they called it a micro skiff it would be more apt, but lots of people wish their kayak was more capable while still allowing it to be launched just about anywhere and hit skinny water. Also, re: price, this is MSRP of $2800. Where I am I can’t find a decent used center console for that and then I can only launch where there is a proper ramp.
I agree with the other post this is no longer a kayak but a small skiff. I have a Nu-Canoe unlimited that you can mount a small 2.5hp outboard on and or a bow mount trolling motor. Extremely versatile and still a kayak.
I feel they need to have a drop-in slot for a pedal drive to give people the option of pedal, electric or gas. I was just at Lake Michigan at Kewaunee, went almost 3 miles out and had battery issues once I got out that far so no choice but to pedal back in my Native S;layer Max 12.5 which took more than an hour. I was glad I had my pedal drive to do that! Not having a pedal option on this craft would keep me from buying one.
As someone who hasn’t rigged up too many boats or kayaks before, tutorials or in depth walkthroughs of basic setup options (like the tournament style at the end of the video) would be a huge help. Knowing which devices, poles, mounts etc. to buy and use, as well as how to mount them and wire them and set up breakers is a bit confusing to me. It’s hard to figure out where exactly to start.
man i love it. i know which kayak i want now. i been looking for a new one and this one nails everything. bonafide really knocked this one out the park.
This is an absolute insane kayak!! And I am very highly considering this for my next kayak build, would be perfect for me and my son or my son and girl!
This is insane. Such a great design. I love my Titan X but as a big guy didnt think it would be possible to have a kayak with more room than that. Good job Bonafide.
I think it’s a great looking boat. If a guy is running tournaments. Pass that a guy might as well buy a nice small boat, I can’t imagine In practical use a guy probably would launch it off a boat dock every time. Rather it is 12ft or 14 boat. I do love the innovation ,and hard work that went into building it though, but everything you guys do is just awesome!!! Thank You for all you guys do for kayaking.
This would be perfect for my tournaments but also for my videos! Being able to carry all of the needed equipment and easy to motorize! Looks like y’all knocked this one out of the park!
Awesome kayak. Man i wanna test this out in the pacific ocean for halibut, rock fish, and crabbing. Let me know if you need someone to test it out and give ya feedback in the salty life.
I love this kayak, would be great for me and my son on the small lakes we fish on our channel. Probably out of my price range at the moment. Maybe one day. God bless my friends very nice product.
Regardless of whether or not it’s a boat/kayak etc. I like it. Fathers with kids that aren’t big enough to go solo, love to ride with their dad. And dad needs enough room for all his junk plus the kids and their junk lol. Honestly, if it was a 14-16ft kayak/boat? And with a rear built like a bass boat with tackle storage or a livewell. That would be awesome!!!
I respect your move up into another category, maybe even carving your own niche. People always have negative things to say about new things that aren’t quite mainstream. I like this vessel, cant wait to see one up close some day!
This is crazy cool and all out but I really like the way yall are leaning more towards specialized fishing with the SKF and RVR. Hope yall build off these for the flats guys and river guys. Would be cool to see one specialized for deep water/offshore fishing.
Would love to see a bank beater verson make it super light with that open design for paddle only tournaments you could hit both markets as well as the guys who have a kayak for specific bodies of water that are kayak only like my local ponds.
I wish I had 3k to buy. Thats basically the same price as a old Town but I do have to say this looks way better. My 2 fav parts about it is the battery storage with power switches and the seat with leg room that would be so comfortable to take a doggy nap on the water lol
I think this product is a tiny boat, neither a kayak nor a traditional boat, it's a plastic tiny watercraft designed for calm water fishing only, for a single angler, for loading and unloading on prepared launch spots, carried on a trailer and poweree by limited motor options. If that matches your expectation, looks like a solid product for you.
Sweet boat. I had to look up the weight (155 lbs). I would definitely want my screens more separated with an unobstructed path to the front deck to avoid tripping over them.
Pretty sweet fishing kayak. Needs wheels for sure though. The entire reason I fish from a kayak and not a boat is access pionts. I made wheels for my SS107 and SS127 that go where the keel guards are, but I'm not sure they would hold up to 170lb kayak. Maybe add two mounts on the back for swivel wheels.
Hard to imagine suggestions needed...but should have had rod stager made of silicone similar to T style from Dry pod. It's definitely going to be most replaced part. Also, this video doesn't highlight one of the best parts...THREADED HOLES ON FRONT (x2) AND ON SIDES?! I am already sponsored for a kayak from my local Bonafide/Native, you need to get them this so I can convert for next season.
Nice 'Yak, Hans. Only thing is, no pedal drive system (for when you get a Big Bass on the line, and have to instantly back-up to stay out of the brush/bank!). I would've considered the STR130, but already grabbed a Titan-X 12.5 (with the NK300 and a 55 amp 36 V. batt.. Goes nearly twice as far as the Newport 30 amp batt..!). I think a lot of 'Yak Anglers might like, is the swivel seat. Lets you get to the BlackBox easier!

Why this over a small aluminum boat? It’s definitely cool but what’s the function over a small aluminum Jon? Serious question. I want a small boat, this is a small boat. I am not paddling that beast more than 10ft
This the most beautiful Fishing Kayak I have ever seen, it has everything, just amazing! I'm sure it isnt cheap (Rigged), love it thought. Was going to get a OT AP, but I dont know now, Bonafide has stepped up the game for everyone. Great job!
That's probably my next kayak to chase the big uglies. My only concern at the moment is where we will mount our rod racks on the back. Im guessing we will use the seat tracking, just need to make sure it can withstand a permanent rod rack traveling at speed over 85mph touring the country. I don't believe there's a video out showcasing the tracking/mountability in the back. Trying to find pictures online but can't find anything quite yet. But I'm really digging everything else. I know yall didn't target catfisherman but this possibly became the best Kayak Catfishing platform pending we can set up rod holders. I just need to get my hands on one to see first!!

It's an option for a growing number of anglers who don't want or can't store/transport a bass boat. Options like this in the kayak market is bringing a lot more anglers to the sport.
I agree at some point it’s no longer a kayak. I fish bass tournaments and have my boat setup nice but not crazy, but I can still paddle if needed. This thing is 100% motorized, you’re not paddling this thing anywhere 😂.
Will you be designing a trailer for it? That would be perfect. A all one package rig set up for the weekend small Lake angler I’d buy it in a heartbeat.!
This is like the pwr129 on fin steroids lets gooo! Ill be picking up a kayak in the next few months ill def be getting thisnor the pwr129 its a hwrd decision now haha!
If budget isn't an issue than getting a motor for that monster would be awesome, but at least with the pwr129 you've got the peddle drive so you can get out on the water for less
@bonafidefish You really design kayaks really well. I'm kinda in automotive injection and blow molded plastics, so I understand engineering aspects. No Roto molding experience. Yes, I'm still in a blow molded budget kayak. I'm about to get a Native Slayer propel due to dry haul weight. But I love the design of the PWR and RVR. Keep it going!
Has this Beautiful Kayak been tested in the Ocean ? I think it would be amazing for me , I’m in Southern California Redondo Beach area , huge swells usually. How do you think it would handle in the open ocean ?
I think at this point, id’e prefer an aluminum bass boat. Sure it costs more, but a lot more roomy and more secure in rougher water. But I guess for what you’re getting, then it’s fine.
I used to kayak a lot..... only 100% paddle. No motor and would surf launch in La Jolla California. We would go miles out 100% human powered and catch 20-30-LB yellowtail it was a hell of a work out , it was a sport, and It was fun. Our kayaks were 15-16' long and fast and looked nothing like these wide, fat, stumpy designs. Now I have Inflatable kaboat and go 20 mph fully loaded and can go anywhere I have gas to go. My new boat and used motor and 7" fish finder cost less than this rig and the capability difference just blows this thing out of the water with an a-bomb....I just don't see the reason to be in the middle when an inflatable is about 1000$ for a really nice one. a 3.5 outboard weighs 47 lbs. There are a lot of micro skiffs that are outboard capable but you're still basically sitting down. I understand if kayak is a sport and your in a Kayak fishing tournament but you can not even paddle or pedal these and it should be classified as a boat because that is what you must register it as. I guess if you fish a swamp or something maybe an inflatable is not for you but I just don't see a huge market for this kind of thing. Hobie turned kayaks into boats with the PA and this is just the full circle. There is no way this should be classified as a kayak for competitive fishing purposes. I'm not sure on the rules but surely motors electric or not should be banned.. DMV says it's a boat. My kayaks were 60-70 lbs and roof topped on cars with ease.
Dang, thats a real sweet fishing machine, looks real stable. Still...not a kayak and Id hate to paddle it nore than a mile or two but if you can afford this you can afford any type of kayak motor😎
The only problem is this is probably going to be the most expensive option on the market and to get it out on the water you still need to get a motro and what not so thats an even higher starting cost. If they had options for dropping in 1 or two peddle drives then i see this being very popular
@@martellparks1450 while I applaud the AP I like having options. Rear mount, bow mount , and possibly dual power pole on the back. It's gonna get nuts with price but if you want something that's an all-rounder then this can fit the bill.
Love the concept of it, and the idea of it. Hypothetically your motors/electrical fail..... who's paddling this thing a mile back to the launch? Flirting with a skiff and not a kayak at this point.
It would be cooler to see a smaller version.. reduce the size by maybe 40-60 percent or half that size ? It would be hard to paddle without standing or something like that
insanely cool and good looking and really good price imo. but personally at that price, needing a trailer, and the upgrades you buy for it... i just don't see the point over a new jon boat or used bass boat.
Wow, must be $12-14K for this "torurnament" set-up. I suppose it meets a certain niche. I think I'll stick with a good market place 15ft Tracker (or similiar) that is faster, more fishable (especially for 2), and just as easy to launch/load as this. Storage space wouldn't require much more either.
This thing is really cool but just my opinion that it’s definitely stretching the definition of kayak to the absolute limits haha.
Yeah, especially since it's really motor only as you will not be paddling that anywhere
Honestly, we love to hear it, We are always trying to create innovative fishing experiences. Wide stable kayaks are nothing new. You mean "kayak"?
This kind of boat will definitely force tourney trails to define what a kayak is lol
💯!
They allow the bsb angler 360 already.. it still a kayak.. guys are already throwing motors on kayaks every which way they can..
Most major trails only allow one motor though

I used a regular battery all day on a 14’ aluminum boat for years. Used it all day and never had it go dead. You are using garbage batteries.
I've got a Tracker bass boat and a Spyder 48 rear trolling motor and a AGM battery, it runs all day full power.
@JimDog794, I'm sure it does, but would it if you used the electric motor for fishing, all other running, fish finder and live well.

The outside rail areas are designed for rack type systems. Catfish specifically should work well!
I'm in the Jackson Knarr right now but I think I found a new yak for tournaments

*I like it!* Don't even care what you call it. You could call it a canoe, kayak, paddle board, or a turd and I still want it! HAHA
Love to try in Michigan on Lake Erie and rivers
Great looking rig . Love the motor options . Can it take a gas outboard
love the direction fishing kayaks are going!!!
is this less / as / more stable than the titan x 12.5?
Any thoughts about a pedal drive for it? Something like the NuCanoe Pivot Drive? I just put one on a SKANU.
This is really cool and all, but calling this a kayak is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?
It's an option for a growing number of anglers who don't want or can't store/transport a bass boat. Options like this in the kayak market is bringing a lot more anglers to the sport.
I agree at some point it’s no longer a kayak. I fish bass tournaments and have my boat setup nice but not crazy, but I can still paddle if needed. This thing is 100% motorized, you’re not paddling this thing anywhere 😂.
@@FishinwithGRAMPS people who fish kayak tournaments might care.
If this is a kayak, then those pond prowlers should be considered kayaks now lol.
@@zachm4109 look at the Jackson Blue Sky that people fish tournaments out of.
Will you be designing a trailer for it? That would be perfect. A all one package rig set up for the weekend small Lake angler I’d buy it in a heartbeat.!
Very impressive!
Need to build something for the beach to run baits out
Can i get A Catalog of your Boat's?
This is like the pwr129 on fin steroids lets gooo! Ill be picking up a kayak in the next few months ill def be getting thisnor the pwr129 its a hwrd decision now haha!
If budget isn't an issue than getting a motor for that monster would be awesome, but at least with the pwr129 you've got the peddle drive so you can get out on the water for less
Apex Kayaks makes a similar shaped futuristic fishing kayak like this but at $10,499.99 , it does not sense.
Everything about Bonafide makes sense!
Love to hear it.
I need this ASAP! I almost bought the pwr 129
Would it be possible to have a bass boat style front pole swivel seat?
The seat base is a heavy duty swivel mount that is common in marine uses so there are other seat options that could be rigged!
Nucanoe unlimited for the win. Lots of companies took the idea of swivel seat and tandem slide seat
Native, Diablo and Wilderness Systems all had swivel seats in the past as well.
The only problem is this is probably going to be the most expensive option on the market and to get it out on the water you still need to get a motro and what not so thats an even higher starting cost. If they had options for dropping in 1 or two peddle drives then i see this being very popular
lol thats my thing. 2800 for the kayak then you need a motor so that another what 4k? you might aswell get an AP120 for less
Would this fit on the OTWI tourney light? Could boonedox wheels be added by the buyer?
love this
That is dope! Send me one!
Gas powered is the way to go. Is there a rig for a gas motor? Steering controls for a gas engine?
It's a small boat but very nice
Hopefully you guys upgraded the plastic.
Man if i can get this in a pedal drive options, that would be great..
I see a lot of nucanoe unlimited in this one.... but better! I'm getting it
Wow, must be $12-14K for this "torurnament" set-up. I suppose it meets a certain niche. I think I'll stick with a good market place 15ft Tracker (or similiar) that is faster, more fishable (especially for 2), and just as easy to launch/load as this. Storage space wouldn't require much more either.
I’m 6’6 360lbs. This might work!
With 730lbs of capacity and more space than any boat we have ever created, you cannot go wrong with the new XTR130!
