    For me, working out isn't the problem, it's eating healthy foods. Still being young and living under my parents make it hard to eat what I want.

      It's a complete opposite for me! I can definitely change to eating healthy easily but I don't really like the idea of sweating and exercising, I lost a lot just eating healthy but I still want to try to be active.

    You know when people post all the "How I lost weight" videos, some of those videos tell you so many unrealistic things (not all of them). they act like it was so easy for them to change their habits from one day to another. You showed us the real thing, and this actually inspired me, ive been trying for a while now but i lost determination after a week of not eating right. Im determined to Start RIGHT NOW and not give up, i will set goals for myself because you showed me and others that it is possible. Thank you, im proud of you!

    I hit menopause at 54 and gained 12kg over the past 18 months. I hated the way I looked, the way I felt. I lost my job, then my home and a month ago my relationship ended. That's what triggered the desire for change. I completely changed my diet, cut out carbs and refined sugar and switched to a 90% plant based diet. I work out 2 to 3 times a day and have lost a few kg, but sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and feel I'm not getting anywhere. Seeing your results has really spurred me on to keep going and not lose hope. You're awesome!

    • @NRQ-zv5bp
      @NRQ-zv5bp 5 років тому +20

      My dear I bet you're working out too much. Why don't you sign up for the sweat app which is the program that this girl is using through BBG. She may or may not be using the app but it will show you that you really only need to workout with weights and or resistance using just your body three times a week with four times a week doing cardio. The cardio could be walking on an incline on a treadmill for 40 minutes or taking a spin class or whatever. But working out two to three times a day is only going to help you lose water weight you're not going to get good results.

      @@NRQ-zv5bp Thankyou 😊 I recently came across some of Dr Eric Berg' s videos and he explained what happens to our bodies during menopause and the associated problems including weight gain and muscle atrophy. I realized I was working out too much and have opted for long walks instead. I started intermittent fasting, Im taking the supplements my body needs and moving toward a keto diet.
      I feel amazing! I'm sleeping better, I have so much energy, I no longer have brain fog, I feel positive and my weight is no longer my main focus. Right now I'm just enjoying my new lease on life! ☺

      If you're working out, and working out that much, you need to be consuming more calories. It sounds almost counter-intuitive, to eat more to lose, but if your body is going into starvation mode, it will hang on to every fat cell it can, because you're not fuelling it properly. Just fuel your body with good proteins, fats and carbs..whole foods. It's harder as we get older (I'm 44) and when we experience great stress in our lives like yourself, but you can do it. :)

Just excuses and I will start tomorrow, or next week on Monday. Then that day comes and another excuse why I haven't started yet. I'm already almost 40 years old and at the worst shape and health of my life being lazy with my body. For no reason what so ever. Other than I try and fail because I get angry at myself when I get winded or tired at the very beginning of trying any kind of workout. My body does not want to cooperate with me like it used to years ago. Or how it would still of I didn't allow myself to become this way. I'm gonna finish your video now. But already I want to say thank you. Thank you for not deleting this. Thank you for sharing.

    I’m honestly so proud of you and the progress you’ve made in only six months! I try to motivate myself to workout more with the «weight loss journey» videos, but it always ends up with me trying to eat healthy one day, training the next day, starving myself the next day and start eating unhealthy on the weekends. I really don’t have the motivation to workout.

    • @LIGHT-tq5un
      @LIGHT-tq5un 5 років тому +1

      Same, i eat healthy and then I starve or binge :/ But working out is not that bad once you get stronger and it won't be hard when you get used to it, it's just hard to start. I'm not a nutritionist but if you allow yourself to eat unhealthy sometimes or in moderation and have cheat meals it'll be a lot easier to stick to your diet long term. Sorry for the long comment lol but I feel you

    • @TeddyBear-dh5tz
      @TeddyBear-dh5tz 5 років тому +1

      Also what helps is remembering that eating healthy and dieting are two different things. If you need to loose weight very quickly or simply want to go on a diet that’s fine. Often diets require cutting out carbs, sugar etc. Which leaves you feeling like all you can eat is chicken breast and salad. Which is very discouraging. In my opinion eating healthier is different, you can allow yourself ‘unhealthy’ foods, but in moderation, a good rule to follow may be the 80/20. Eating healthy 80% of the time. Simple changes like opting for water instead of coke, snacking a little bit less can really help. Try and find foods that you like, that are also healthy and that can be very motivating, for example I like apples, I’m eating them right now, and I don’t feel guilty because it’s healthy. And if overeating is a problem for you, try drinking more water. I know it feels hard at first, eating healthy and working out but it becomes so much easier, after a bit you stop craving so much sugar and unhealthy foods. I rlly hope I helped.

    This video has extremely motivated me because my body right now is where you were in the beginning. And although many may say my body is perfectly fine how it is at the moment, to me it's about my health. I can't finish a full lap around the track in my gym class because I get so fatigue. We were recently in the weight room and I couldn't lift any weights above 20 pounds and I felt embarrassed because I know that it's not all just physical strength that's holding me back, it's also mental. I lead myself to believe that my body was just built to stay this way for my whole life because I can't escape the foods that enrich my culture until after I live on my own. But if I foolishly wait until then, I can develop more risks to my health along the way and it'll be harder to come back from that. Anyway, I've set out to reach the smaller goals and then work myself up to the bigger picture. I admire your courage for posting this video because God knows how many people needed this type of motivation that no other UA-camr has been able to provide to us :)

      You need to understand what food does in your body. I've been watching a lot of videos about carbs, fats and proteins and how they act in our body and now that I kinda know it I can control the food that I eat. Plus, you have to be in a calorie deficit, you have to calculate how many calories you need to eat in a day in order to lose weight.

    This made me cry , bc I've been struggling to lose weight . and everything you were talking about and the way you were feeling is how I feel all the time . its hard for me to motivate myself . its hard for me not to be lazy . I try my best to keep going . this video helped me a along with the preaches you input . you are so strong for realising you need a change . you are beautiful .

    Wow this was so inspirational. I’m in the same place you were that first video clip. I’m done being unhealthy. You just gave me motivation to start. Please keep going through your fitness journey and don’t let up.

    This is an incredible video about what happens when you take charge and be consistent in what you do. It’s ok to miss a workout or two & allow your body to rest. You’re incredible. thank you for documenting some of the very real things that are experienced in changing things in your life that are often extremely challenging.

    I’ve struggled with an eating disorder (bulimia) for years now, and I’m tired of it. And want change, I want to feel good, to look good, to know I’m doing the good thing for my health and my body. Your video is very inspirational, I’m going to watch it over and over again
