My brother was once having a night terror and it woke me up because he was screaming my name and banging on the wall that connects our rooms. I went in his room to calm him down and then he fell back asleep, so went back to my room and went back to sleep too. About half an hour later I woke back up to take my socks off because it was hot and then I saw my brother standing in my doorway staring at me and rocking side to side. I fucking flipped my shit and I screamed at him telling him to go back to sleep and he just whispered "ok baby". THIS HAS FUCKED ME UP FOR LIFE I SWEAR

Don't worry it's not that scary, it always happen to me but it's not as scary as it's shown in the video, I don't see or hear anything scary (maybe it's just me) I just wake up terrified and running without a reason, it lasts for like 10 seconds
BananaLicious. I mean everyone is different, I remember when I was about 4/5 I would fall asleep then wake up later, I had a night light on so it was not completely dark. When I woke up I couldn't move, I could only move my eyes, and I could also not make a sound, but the weird thing was it always felt as though everything was in slow motion. Weird. But after a short while it just stopped. But like I said, if it happens to someone it's different than someone else. But being me, and watching scary shit, if I ever get night terrors or sleep paralysis, I will most likely get a heart attack.....😅

Ive had night terrors since i was like 7. It starts off with you just staring in your bed then there is a switch that just randomly happens where you just want to leave your room. Then you start screaming and crying. Its really just alot of emotions at once. Luckily i live with my parents so they calm me down. The crazy thing is that it ends just as quickly as it starts. For me all i have to do is get some recalection back and get some water and then i slowly walk back to my room and im back asleep. And then i wake up and my mom always asks this one thing, "Do you remember waking up last night" And i never do. I am currently 15 years old and having this disorder combined with the stress of high school is actually terrible. And DONT EVEN LET ME GET STARTED ON SLEEPOVERS. I have never had a night terror at a friends house but i always think about it whenever im at a friends house. TLDR I night terror is like being a newborn child being afraid of everything that you dont understand
(I want to clarify that this is just my experience and it is way worse for other people)

I get night terrors normally 3 or 4 nights a week and it sucks like I can see all my surroundings and feel everything thats happening I scream and scream but I don't make a noise and I can't move but no one is there I just see something not a human figure and it dose change different forms it's scary and I'm only 10 it just sucks and did I mention that I wake up with bruses on my wrists and anculs. It sucks.
Kayla The Memester It’s called a sleep paralysis. You cannot move nor make noise as a figure of some sort somehow ‘looms’ over you. They’re not the same but not too different. To get out of a sleep paralysis I think you have to start trying to wiggle your toes or fingers until they move. I don’t know though. They are horrible and it sucks to experience them.

The best way to get someone out of a night terror is to put them in front of the TV and play a familiar show or movie. The bright lights and colors will help them wake out of it.

My sister get night terrors occasionally... and one night this happened.
She woke up and started SCREAMING louder than I've ever heard anyone scream ever . I mean blood curdling shrieking for no apparent reason. She is only five years old and as her older sister by eight years its completely terrifying to see her so scared. My mom was just holding on to her and reassuring her. Suddenly she started sobbing and thrashing around saying she needed help.
"Mommy you have to help me please help mommy I need help, help..."
She looked me dead in the eyes, and it looked like she was wide awake and even though I knew she wasn't, it was totally traumatizing.

She said I used to 'wake up' screaming, shrieking about a man who was following me, sometimes about a dark humanoid shape that would follow me everywhere but I knew it wasn't a person.
The most recurring case was of me just walking around the house, muttering and chanting weird things in foreign languages, eating anything I could from the fridge and there were times when I would run full-speed toward our sliding door and smack my face into it. The only one I actually remember was one where I got up and stood in front of my mother's bed, doing nothing but muttering softly, then I proceeded to open the window (we slept on the first floor as a precaution) and slithered through burglar bars that were about three inches in width and height. My mom didn't try to stop me because she knew I would eventually come back and the last few times that she tried to reroute my course of action, I would literally attack her, one time being so bad because I held a knife in my hand (I was apparently trying to cut a piece of ham in half) and I did cut her on the forearm. I didn't return from the outside of the house, however, and collapsed unconscious on the grass. I woke up the next morning at five a.m.

i have them but it was bad when i have one all hell breaks loose i scream bloody murder and i scream MOMMY!! at the top of my lungs and i get out of bed and knock things over an hide under things and i always get hurt from it one time i broke a vase and was running over the glass and my mom and dad always have to restrain me and shake me to wake me up one time they had to put cold water on me and i usually wake up confused with a sore throat and sometinmes more injuries.

I used to get them when I was really young. But I would just scream my head off till someone woke me up. I did have a couple instances tho where my mom would run in and not be able to wake me up and I just kept screaming I guess.

One time my little sister had a night terror. Her name is kiera. It takes ALOT to scare kiera. She's seen so many scary movies and has only laughed at them! But one night she sits up and screams! She just screams and screams! I was terrified! It was like she was being murdered! Then she started saying "DONT LET HIM GET ME! PLEASE HELP HE'S COMING FOR ME!" My heart was racing! I didn't know what to do! Then she just kinda, stops... she lays back down (she was sitting up while doing all the screaming) and goes back to sleep... I asked about it the next morning, and she said she had no idea what I was talking about. We argued a bit, and she thought I was crazy. Now finally about 2 months later I can finally prove what happened- she had a bad night terror! Nobody in our family has had a night terror before so this was just scary for everyone. When he was talking to the woman and she said she nearly jumped out of the window it made me question weather my brother had night terrors. So, December 19 2019 my brother "fell" out of the window but the doctors said he was sleep walking despite there being no witnesses or anyone to is agree with that he was said to be sleep walking at night stood up on his bed then somehow fell out and stayed out there for over 3 hours although my brother said he didn't remember being out side. My mom woke up randomly because she couldn't sleep and as she stood up she went into my brothers room and panicked because he wasn't there. She then felt a draft from the window and said she nearly fainted as she thought he was dead but when she looked outside he was stood up looking at her really confused she ran downstairs let him in and he didn't blink like he was dead but after 5 mins my mom was able to wake him up he didn't remember a thing. Lucy my brother didn't get hurt except for a scratch on his leg and he was freezing. Everyone said he was sleep walking, fell out, hit the bin underneath the window and was out there for 3 hours. Thank god my brother is OK and it's crazy that he didn't break a bone. Still to this day we don't know what happend egsacially not even my brother. What do u think after what I said was he sleep walking or did he have night terrors. We are so scared that it will happen again so lock ur windows when u go to sleep because who knows when it will happen again..
