Loved your Video thanks!!! I am planing a Budget trip including hitchhiking, camping and be couchsurfing very soon! Your Content made me even more excited! Thanks from Sydney, Australia. I actually grow up in Mönchengladbach 15km away from your country ;) Cheers, Lenny
Thank you for sharing your practical knowledge. We are planning twelve months across Europe with a month in Turkey to rest up before turning back for our second three months in Schengen visa area. We will be using a small minivan and wanted to spend November somewhere friendly, low cost and warmish. Antalya sounds perfect.
Just found you! Loving your videos. My partner and I love Turkey (Icmeler) and visit twice a year. We enjoy walking the Marmaris Hills/Forests. I have my own YT Wildcamping Channel here in Scotland and always fancied buying a wee cheap tent on one of our visits and heading for the hills. Your advice had made this more achievable. Subbed you and looking forward to future videos . 🌲🇨🇳🌲
Welcome and yes enough cheap gear around here as long as you do not get rain. Just do it! You will love it. edit, just checked your channel. Love it, subbed too.
@@AtHomeInTurkey in your video's you talk about bears and pigs in your area. In canada we use bear food contains or ursacks. Do you do anything to protect your food from bears, pigs or mice.
I know you have to do those things from other hiking videos. Here nobody ever sees a bear. In other parts of Turkey they have a lot of bears and I don't know if people even hike overthere. We only know there are still bears around where I live because they found a dead bear cup a while ago. It's not a big thing. So I just heard that there are wolves where I was a few weeks ago. That's a little alarming for me. Never seen one but I heard they do not harm you of come close.
Dank je. Tread the Globe waren hier drie weken. Jammer dat ze arrogant en erg geldbelust zijn. Te groot om af te spreken voor een bak koffie, maar ik was wel goed genoeg om allerlei zaken uit te zoeken. Jammer.
I love your videos on the lycian way and I'm planning to hike it myself next year! Which month would you recommend? I've heard spring and autumn is best to avoid the summer heat
Yes, de summer is not a good idea. 40 plus celsius is not hiking weather. April can still be a little chilly at night and can have rainy days. May June is the best and than October and November. Spring is nice because of wild flowers and everything nice and green, fall better because the sea water is still warm.
@@AtHomeInTurkey thanks I'll keep that in mind! I'm sorry if you've already answered this question somewhere else but are wild dogs and shepherd dogs an issue on the lycian way?
@@derpaulii They are to me. I am scared and give the wrong signals so they come to close and I freak. If you see a lot of sheep or goats just wait a second, look around for dogs. If they are there they will spot you soon enough. Hike if possible around the animals if they have dogs with them. I have not heard of problems at all. The dogs are very big (Google Kangal), have a ton of self confidence but are not agressive.
Wonderful videos! Glad I came across your channel while researching/planning an eventual Lycian Way hike with my wife. Does the terrain of the Lycian Way offer enough trees for hammock camping, do you think?
Very good videos as always. My question is can you get milk or meat at the Candir village from their animals. And one suggestion video is what is in your backpacking bag before a hiking! Thanks.
thanks for the video it answered some of my questions. what region of Turkey was that? have you wild camped along the Black Sea coast? thanks again. Safe travels and blue skies
This is the south west coast. But I think its the same all over Turkey. Just be aware that there are areas in Turkey with bears more present than here. Locals will know.
Yes there are snakes but you never see them. Sometimes when you are hiking but never around camp. Keep your tent closed and you have no problems. Check your shoes for scorpions and your good.

Thanks, don't forget Antalya is very big. Maybe the Fethiye area would be even better for you. Google on it.

I'm planning to camp by the Black Sea in a couple of weeks so this is much valuable information!
