@AtHomeInTurkey I'll be walking it second half Sept/Oct...what are the mozzies like then..? Also hoping to stay in hostel/pensions but do you recommend I carry a tent as well. I really enjoy your walks, thanks! 👌
@@trevorleat8906 Mosquito are only a problem if you sleep out in the open. Later on the trail accommodation can get difficult. I always have a tent. Just gives a safe feeling. You can be slower, or for other reasons not make your goal. Plus we did a lot in covid times. everything closed. So i can not advice you well on that.
@AtHomeInTurkey okay, thank you, that sounds like good advice and then no problem if I have slow day or get lost down the wrong path! 😅 .Sending best wishes from Scotland 🙏🏻
Thanks for the information, it was helpful. You may want to pick up a can of spray water repellent and some seam sealer for your tent. Very effective and much cheaper than getting a new tent.
They have them where I live. On trail it won't be easy. But I am sure you can buy them in Fethiye. Try some facebook groups. İf you don't succeed let me know. Maybe I can help by Leaving them somewhere for you
we dont have the equipments in your backpack in our homes, or relatives' homes , i have never seen so many types of things not only bag but also house of a person in Turkey. i wonder how old are you, you seem fit for walking etc.
I buy a lot of gear online and some things come from Holland. Friends bring it for me. It ones took a year before something was here in Turkey. But a 500 gram tent is worth waiting for. I am 60 years old. The Lycian Way 3 years ago. That's why I need a light pack. To old to carry 15 kilos.
I would add to the first aid kit: non-drowsy antihistamine tablets. Allegra brand name or generic sold here in turkey. For bites/stings and any random allergic reactions. And a small folding shovel for 💩... Sadly many don't bury it and it's gross/unsanitary to find.
@@finkelisb5754 I have something like that. I just forgot in the video, just like the toiletpaper. I will do another video when I have my new gear complete. I won't forget again. Promise.
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊

I have never had an allergic reaction, but I will think about it. And yes the shovel I want one of those super light ones.
I bought a small folding shovel online: hepsiburada... fits easily in my pack. Or a small garden spade would work.

Does your sleeping bag weigh 200 grams only ?
No, if I remember well it's 500. And it is a bad one. Cheap and nasty from decathlon.
MasaAllah Thank you so much for sharing with us, love from India you are like my Mom 😊so sweet 😋
