I've gotten to that point where I've done everything i want to do in minecraft. Big creative builds. Detailed survival bases. Built completely weird and questionable builds with friends. I've explored every structure so none of them seem interesting anymore (might be recency bias but trial chambers are fire). beaten the ender dragon. And failed at redstone. I thought i was bored but i kinda had an epiphany while watching this. Im not really bored of minecraft its just not the perfect game for me. All that stuff i did was fun but not nearly as much fun as other games i love, D&D rdr2 or ghost of tsushima. Which is something other people have to realize the game isnt boreing you just dont like it as much as others. Thanks for the video btw

As someone who has 15,000+ hours (or more idk) and has played the game for about 12 years now, I can say the game is still fun for me. If it does get boring after a bit, I either download some mods, play in creative, start a new world, or play another game for a bit until I wind down. I love this game and it will always be my favorite game and it honestly hurts me on the inside a LOT when people say they hate it because it is "boring" or "cringe". After all, this game is my childhood. Other than that, I can say you've earned my sub! Keep up this kind of content I love it!

it's not that these youtubers will only speedrun and say modern minecraft is bad- they say that the game 'forces you' to do that today. no. it doesn't. even 12 years ago you could speedrun the ender dragon that's not a flaw with 'modern minecraft'. in these videos they play old minecraft really slow when it could be played fast and they play new minecraft fast when it could be slow because they can't think of actual valid smart reasoning to 'prove their point'. in reality, today, due to the internet, most people can't think for themself. one person makes a video about minecraft being boring because they speedrun it then everyone else does then more people do it 'acknowledging that the game is not supposed to be speedran' and make similar points with even more flawed logic. most of these people are just doing it for clicks. (or the youtube videos they watch really just sway their opinion and they are too lazy to be honest with themself for 1 second- in fact i'm willing to bet a lot of these people AREN'T 'swayed by nostalgia' they probably never even played old minecraft they have just been superficially convinced old minecraft was better) so my take: minecraft IS a game where you speedrun to get the best tools possible. minecraft IS a survival game where you have to make do with limited resources. minecraft IS a building and farming game where you expand your base. minecraft IS a combat/rpg game where you go on quests and kill enemies. this is all fun, and there is no 'boring way to play'. people just say minecraft is boring because they can't think for themselves- other people think for them.
i find this kinda similar to the star wars prequels- now today there is so much 'newfound love' for them. nope. nobody can think for themself. anyone with 2 eyes can see that the star wars prequels are not good movies. sure they had a good vision but it was done so terribly, and people are acting like bad writing is some kind of intentional foreshadowing. i like the prequels (imo the sequels are more enjoyable to watch due to competent dialogue but the story sucks ass) the prequels are NOT good movies, just the internet has swayed people to 180 switch on the prequels. just like how it also swayed people to say 'disney ruined star wars'. disney did not ruin star wars. star wars was cooked either way. george lucas is a great filmmaker the original trilogy is really good but if you be honest with yourself if disney didn't buy it there would be a high chance of getting the prequel trilogy part 2. and disney has done a lot of good things for star wars (and a lot of bad) too bad opinions don't exist anymore and people just repeat whatever they see online and think they are smart despite their simple minded shallow views. even i've been swayed by the internet a lot of times i used to join the prequel love and say 'the prequels were awesome' but i've matured a bit, and now i (think) i can think for myself.
Okay well ima have to disagree with you on that one the sequels are horrible movies to. what made the sequels good was the story and fight scenes, the sequels have neither. Although I will agree that prequels could have been so much better
@@Nuverex yeah the sequels are horrible with the context of other star wars movies but if you look at them as individual sci fi movies unrelated to star wars (and the 3 sequels are not a trilogy) then they'd be pretty good
Minecraft is great. I just have lost all of my creativity so I always end up restarting on a different world. Im trying to get better at building and fuel my creativity and i think im getting there, im a week into my world and i just now got to a nether fortress. This video is very helpful, thank you kind sir.
Randomly finding these structures is what sparked curiosity and imagination, even if I have heard of them before or knew what they had in store. My first time in all of these different structures was exciting because I never knew what exactly was going to happen, and that’s what makes these things so special and unique in my opinion.

@@Nuverex there are 2 fairy things. vexes, and allays. allays are friendly and light blue, and you can find them trapped in mansions and outposts. vexes on the other hand, are hostile. they are spawned by evokers during fights and kill you (so they are also found in mansions and raids). vexes were added in 1.11 in 2017 while allays are more recent and were added in 1.19 in 2022
Is it me or are a lot of Minecraft UA-camrs starting to make videos like these? There either saying Minecraft is getting boring or there saying that Minecraft isn’t getting boring. (I agree with the latter)
Personally, I get iron armour and lots of iron as soon as I can and then find diamonds to get good tools but then I start experimenting with new builds and block palettes and rooms for my base. You can still play the game the way they do it and still have fun if you just throw in some building, but going STRAIGHT to the dragon and skipping any building or exploring or learning is just going to remove any feeling of enjoyment you can get.
I think people forget that minecraft is an actual game and getting 2000 hours of gameplay is actually insane for a game spending 30 bucks to get 2000 hours of enjoyment is actual really good and yet these youtubers complain about it

I personally find Minecraft very boring due to there being no objective, but the multiplayer completely fixes that.
