I was having a hard time deciding which GK detachment to build towards as I assemble them. After the sweeping changes, I am now solidly invested into the Warpbane Task Force detachment going forward.
That's the issue with balancing things based on community perception. Sisters have a ~50% winrate, and a grand total of 3 event wins since their big points nerfs in October. Nobody should see a faction like that receive some of the biggest nerfs of 10th and think "yeah, that seems warranted". But because they were dominant, that's a lot of people's perception.
I am so pumped for the Marines changes. Bikes boosted for my blood angels, and basically everything in my Imperial Fists Anvil Siege Force. Heavy intercessors, oath, regular intercessors, sternguard vets, inceptors cheaper, outriders here too for cheap screening, I am PUMPED.
Bringers of Flame has been gutted to almost unplayable in its current iteration. It saddens me that the miracle dice changes was so ham-fisted. Jnits dying should reward you with miracle dice. The only saving grace is my AoF list still runs essentially the same, just have to tweak it to fit Vahl in.
Well AoF runs the same, but with so much fewer miracle dice, you're gonna use its "two dice in one activation" ability about 2 times per game. Are we sure we don't just want to run the Martyrs instead?
@tecgoblin martyrs is great, so a good choice to go with. I like the strats and the angels interaction with them to help against a seemingly large increase in enemy shooting coming our way.
Just gettin back into the hobby after 2 decades out and Im pumped about running space puppies in librarius conclave. If Im reading right Ragnar leadin blood claws could be doing 11 S11 AP-3 Dmg2 attacks on the charge... that's as well as all the S7 chainswords
so apparently the only way to make chapter compliant space marines competitive is to make them much more killy than non-compliant ones. being cut out from better rules is awful sensation.
"Sisters deserve punitive nerfs for at least the next few months" -some chatter Such a garbage take this. So if you only have sisters, you just what, not play till march? Cause that's what they deserve?
Ork buggies and orks in general are still kind of bad. Ultra marines more specifically became the best army in the game. GW favoritism showing through.
Nothing. Here is a doomer commentary: No rule means anything, they will change it in 10 days again anyway. I've seen people fight over rules being outdated or not uptodate or insisting to play the rules from their codex they bought for hard earned cash. Nothing matters. Bend any rule however you like it, even cheat, at most events people don't have the time nor strenght to argue anymore. They give up. You win. I'm not that kinda guy but I've seen enough people doing it all the time.
@@AngryAcolyte I'm not as doomer but I get it I honestly learned the rules as they change but I never say I'm sure of a rule unless it's in the app so I just always ask TO if there is even a slight question this makes it so I hate playing casual games because without an arbiter of the rules on hand at all time there is almost certainly going to be rules broken or misinterpreted on purpose or not it still is annoying
Take a break dude. Of course nothing really matters, it's a toy soldiers game. Do something you enjoy and come back whenever you're excited to play again, no point in being miserable here
@@AngryAcolyte ya it usually with my opponents I play alot and have a good graspe of the rules but I also play ALOT and I'm still not 100 precent on the rules at any given time do to the amount of change without notification if I'm playing someone who doesn't play all the time I either let them cheat or stop them once or twice a game to explain that gw change that rule last month and your whole plan is now worthless it can be annoying for them because they had a plan with their idea of the rules that now ruins the game for them or I let them break the rules and it just doesn't feel like a game anymore ill just go play more dnd if I want to just make up the rules game to game like I said not the biggest deal I can still play casual games with people who also play alot but GW should put way more in their app for free or else this will for ever be a problem with newer players
The irony of Mortarian wielding a scythe and not having a sweep attack profile.
He enjoys collecting his own wheat with the scythe and baking a nice forcacia bread.
He does tho

I'm glad to see folks are excited about it considering the strong index!
Sisters were at 50% winrate before this... Gonna be a rough few months...

Thanks Adro, this was a helpful run down of the changes and how it affects play.
Happy to help, it was great going through it with everyone
It’s a good day to be a gravis enthusiast
Thicc marines everywhere!
Gravis are most of my favorite Marines models, and these changes are SO welcome!

I would be mad about the Astra Militarum changes, but the codex is so soon, that its potentially all gonna change again anyways.
Yeah very true
And I have been excited about warhammer. You almost made me spit out my coffee
hahah
Thanks for all your hard work.
Big thanks as always Jeffrey!

Im very curious to see the impacts of miracle dice in particular, and how hard it will hit them

Can you add a librarian to that unit?
@thomashutchinson1 no need to, if you're within an 18" bubble you can apply the strategem to his unit
It looks so fun!

also no love to ork buggies still paying for the sins of 9th
Was just thinking about this - so sad!!!

Such a garbage take this. So if you only have sisters, you just what, not play till march? Cause that's what they deserve?
nerfing bringer of flame and not firestorm from space marines is just wrong
Why? Bringers was the best sisters detachment and firestorm is barely played by marines
It's almost like sisters army rule is better than the space marines one
Sisters have been destroyed. Pure sadness
Oh yeah. Only getting 20+ miracle dice now is really going to make them unplayable *sarcasm
Definitely curious to see how hard the nerfs hit!
Ork buggies and orks in general are still kind of bad. Ultra marines more specifically became the best army in the game. GW favoritism showing through.
Poor buggies!
Sisters players crying that they have to actually roll dice now is wild. Welcome to actually playing 40k and having variance like everyone else..

This has to be the most miserable take I’ve ever heard. Life is too short to have hobbies you despise. Go and do literally anything else.
