Anyone else get a burst of inspiration when that music hits? I remember it from the older Corporal's Corner videos. Feeling awesome right now. Envious of all the folks who can watch all the old videos for the first time right now while the weather is about to be perfect.
As much as I like watching you build the shelter, I’m happier to hear you’re being a courteous guest. World needs more respectful people and less complaining when inconvenienced.
One underappreciated feature of your videos is that you continue to include closeups of your knot tying work. Thank you for continuing to emphasize the fundamentals!
From one Marine to another: I appreciate your time and effort in these videos. You show us positive stewardship of the land as well as respect for landowners. As always: Carry on Cpl, we got your back...
From a woman, mother and grandmother, I really appreciate you using AF. The words do not hurt my feelings, however, I'm here to learn and I want to be able to let my grandson watch too. Teaching the knots, that is outstanding! The perspective of developing shelters over time, that it doesn't need to be complete from the beginning, but you end up with a foundation, that is outstanding. That perspective inspires and takes the pressure off of beginners like me. Thank you for this great content. Subscribed.
subscribed.. Im planning a solo overnight soon, I come to almost every one of your video's I can find for training. I am a prior service vet and I like your methods and your way of speaking.
I'm from Australia, so I get your videos on a Monday. I can honestly say watching them on my break at work is one of the highlights of my day. Keep on keeping on!
I appreciate you being professional and straight forward. I don't get to watch as often as I'd like. Gotta pay the bills, you know. I do, however, recommend you to people I talk with, as well as my kids, my nieces, and nephews. Keep up the good work...and thanks.
There's a 24 Hour Corporals Corner Marathon Happening at my place! Going through the back log of videos to smash the thumbs up on every video that I may have missed. Your work is first rate A.F.! Once again, Semper Fi from an Army guy.
when I was in the army we flew down to Cheju Island for an exercise in repelling. On the way down we were on a C 130 and our Lt. did not fly well. Our sgt decided to pull a trick on the Lt. 1/2 way down the sgt pretended to get sick and used a his barf bag. later he pulled out the bag and said loudly that he felt better and was hungry. What he had barfed in the bag was dinty moore beef stew, and now he was eating that. As soon as the Lt seen himg eating what he though was the barf, he let loose, I mean really bad barfing, we all know the joke but no way were we going to tell the Lt.
I am really enjoying this series and am looking forward to the next couple. I have heard other creator say that having people comment and reply also helps boost a channel. So, let us make more comments and more replies! Love and hugs.
Corporals Corner I have been playing your playlists while at work and liking every one. It has bumped up your video recommendations to almost every video.
Thanks for another Outstanding video!! I enjoy the to the point no BS style of your videos! Everyone needs to recommend and build the Corporal Nation!!!!!!
Much respect to always giving props to others. If I have not said this before. A community is stronger together than apart. Internally, independently and indefinitely.
Being a bow and rifle hunter myself, I appreciate your courtesy and thoughtfulness to others in the woods. However, that being said, I am disappointed to see the break in this project but I look forward to any videos you produce, so keep them coming and thank you for what you do. Semper Fi Brother!
Outstanding as always! I feel inspired now. I'm gunna get out there soon. It will be cool to see the finished product. Its good that you have offered to pay the landowner. Respect.
Another great video and I’ll keep watching your videos to keep you going on UA-cam ! I hope the hunters leave your structure alone. Appreciate your instructions and enthusiasm for being outdoors and look forward to the next one!
Was made to start watching your show, corporal. My own corporal has been teaching me survival techniques for a while now. This weekend we've enjoyed about 15 of your videos so far. My favourite is the bunks with a long fire. He said that's how you make stretchers in the field and still fight. I also love your artery- hardening recipes! The bacon - wrapped onion rings looked amazing! You're my favorite AF! Semper, dude!
Renting out the land for hunters is just the first thing. Next = renting out your shelters. Everyone wins . You still get land use plus we get great content and more shelters. OUTSTANDING Now lets talk about your coffee mug. I do not see it posted for purchase.
Hope the hunters respect your shelter as much as you respect them. Valhalla java is zakk wylde coffee and the only coffee I drink. Another great video keep them coming
Watched all the way thru-your next vid in queue was #11 -i'll watch it all the way thru after finishing the current one.Keep up the good work Corporal!
I watch a lot of Bushcraft - Survival YT Channels. Of all of them, this shelter is the one I like the most. Sturdy - dry - roomy. Great idea. Will look forward to the next ones/
As usual great video. It’s not only great and outstanding, you prove again the right way to do things. I know it sucks for some viewers but by you taking a backseat on the property is a stand-up decision. Good to go!!!
Seems to me , he’s an outstanding man , Veteran , and I like his channel 3 rd video I’m watching I’ll look up more after this. Thanks for taking the time to put up great materials and journeys !
I understand why you need the cloud cover for a little better video, however, I just want you to know the colors that come through on the video of that fall landscape is absolutely perfect! Thank you for continuing on.
I'm still living in Kenya for the time being so this show gets to me Sunday night. It's the perfect ending to a weekend that, these days, are spent pouring through the political s***show we're all enduring right now. Thanks Corp for giving us all a moment of sanity! God bless brother!
Excellent work. Bush craft is all about Imagination, adaptability and ingenuity. "Always improve your fighting position", said every NCO to every Private, ever.
Just letting you know, I tried to do my part as a long time subscriber and unofficial student of yours to support the channel. I watched your videos for hours until I didn't have to scroll down to find one of your videos, meaning it was the next in the playlist. I let the playlist run in the background and did this for a solid 6 hours or more and continued the next morning. It is true that UA-cam no longer sends me notifications from your videos. I have selected all notifications on your videos on the UA-cam app and do not receive any notifications from them. I have joined the email list so that I will never miss a single video. From time to time I will spend a large number of hours replaying your videos in the background to try and get your videos towards the top of UA-cam's recommended list, this way you will be able to reach a larger audience, subsequently keeping you around for years to come. Love the content, keep up the good work, I'm on the edge of my seat to see what's next in store from the Corporal.
The shelter out in the wilderness looks great, thank you for taken the time to build it for us youtubers. Love all your video’s & survival skills. Glad your son had some good times to camp with you. Be safe, stay healthy, God Bless everyone.
Glad I found this Channel. Much respect for you and your respect for the other people using that land. Really enjoying the videos man keep up the good work

Thanks for being courteous to others, even if it interferes with your normal video area. Adaptability I think is a good training tool so keep up the great work and bring on the bacon.
I've really enjoyed you channel since I discovered it on my trip to Wyoming in September, my birthday, good one 👍. Been watching ever since. Like this concept of the fort. I live in Western Washington state. It's not as nice as where your at, especially with the regulations. But, you have given me some great ideas still for living outdoors. Thanks.
Great video. Part 2 was cool. Like seeing your brain at work solving problems. Tip of the cap to your integrity with the landowner. You're a good man. Looking forward to seeing the next cool video and the playlist had you at 3, so I hit play and let them roll while I tweaked my edc bag. Semper AF.

Always look forward to Sunday to watch your videos. Will you be doing any classes on stuff you can find out in the field to eat other then fish or frogs. Just in case you run out of food.
Thx Shawn for getting me motivated, I finaly got out for a 2 nite solo with a quick deploy reflective Arcturus. Nite#1 was a nite time set up.. Been too long, knocking the rust off! Great time of year!
Nice build. I almost fell out of my chair...laughing when you said, "It looks like someone threw up in my bag." I am looking forward to what ever you produce. Thanks.
Not going to lie that structure looks cozy AF great episode. You were my top video. I did let it play as soon as I clicked on it. Love your content regardless hope to see you and your son in more videos as well.
Nothing like delicious ole M.R.Es. I grew up dirt poor so to me some meals are delicacies. Some people complain about food and their fridge and cabinets are stocked complain when your stomach feels like it's caving in on itself. Anyway love the videos great tips for people to learn to survive you never know right???? God bless good luck and keep it moving forward always!!!!
Shawn, my father passed away Monday morning. He was declared terminal in 2007 he fought until 2020 and never quit. He was still sharp of mind when he body gave out. He was ex-Air Force, did security, law enforcement, construction (he helped build 3 Mile Island). He was made an honorary Civilian Crisis Response Team member the day he passed away. He was my biggest influence to get into camping, bushcraft, to serve and protect and to take my oath of enlistment. I was wondering if during your shoutout time on your net vid you could give him one? Barry Wendell Jeffrey Sr.
Corp Kelly, just started following you about a week ago, and have to say...your videos are are coolAF! Takes me back to my years in the scouts and Army! WHOAH! One suggestion, as I feel many, especially the young people, would benefit from knowing “which” knot you are tying at any given moment during your videos. You do a great job with the close-up shots when tying those knots, but if you were to say which knot it is while demonstrating, and walk the viewer through it verbally I think it would only add to the educational process. I know my ten grandsons would love that, so they could actually practice those knots while watching! Keep up the good work! So long as you keep posting, we’ll keep watching and learning! Thanks!
Hey Corporal, Did you anchor the ends of the a-frame poles into the side walls or just cut to length so they fit snug? Could have used that augur in your rocket stove video to put in a pocket for the base of those poles. That would hold them even more secure. Also, been looking back at older vids of yours but cant find what size that canvas tarp is???? I am thinking of building the same type shelter up where I hunt this coming summer. Tired of the 1 1/2 mile stomp in the dark to hunt around some awesome meadows. Build a shelter like that near that small pond hidden in a thicket and then just a 1/2 mile to those meadows. Make my own little fort in the woods.
Sign of the times when we have to get permission to use land. I'm looking for somewhere in my local area to use but struggling to find somewhere not owned.
I like everything about your camp...it’s about the nicest I’ve seen....the only way it could be better is if your son was there...you guys make a great team.....
Recommended video yours is number 3 so seeing how i have watched that one atleast 3 times i am going to let it play while i go do some yard work . Thanks for video brother
Damn it! I told myself one corporals corner video tonight. That was at 11pm. Now it's almost 2am and I'm still going. So much for getting some sleep before work. Lol
I know how it is. Sometimes after the new video drops on Sunday I’ll get stuck watching older videos that i haven’t seen and before I know it, it’s late AF. Lol.
@@xenophobe1175 I'm not an outdoorsman. I never have been. But I find it very interesting to watch how And what people do as far as camping out building their own tents or shacks but his channel is addictive AF. Lol
Great video, been working on my kit as well as my wife’s a lot lately, we’re both sold on the shovels she prefers the Russian titanium because of its size and weight. I’ve really been using the hell out of the cold steel trench shovel or at least I was until I broke my left hand. Hope to be back at it soon
Do your carry an IFAK? I don’t think I’ve seen it in your gear list before. What are the things you do for first aid? Didn’t know if you would recommend keeping something like that in your pack. Stay safe brother and thank you very much for your videos
Thanks for respecting hunters. I am a rabid archer and sometimes hunter. Some of us have to spend big bucks to get out in the woods. Everything to its Season. Wild game meat is to die for. Wild boar when well fed is to die for too. I will be sure to stay tuned to your channel and also click on whatever I can. Corporal's Corner rules.
That's a really cool shelter. I'm a little tired of seeing tarp alone shelter videos. When you add walls and whatever else you might be inspired with, I have to watch. Thanks for being considerate of the landowner. Your viewers will make the world a better place by learning and following your virtues. JJDIDTIEBUCKLE.

Bummer this series is going to be postponed but excited to see what you got planned for us in the meantime!
You know what they say, Corporal. No good plan ever survives first contact
My 9yo son and I have started venturing into the woods practicing building shelters.
Ooh rah, Marine.
Some good motivation Corporal!!! Going to be heading out into the field soon for a build myself.
