It highlights the dynamic of your realationship with your Thai family, your mum and the other day to day people you interact with. Hey Chuck. I like that you are trying to show Thai's that all foreigners are not the same. I think it is funny how people will demand that foreigners in their countries speak English, but the other way around they don't want to put in the effort. I am learning Thai, speaking, reading and writing in America with a tutor from Bangkok online, along with my wife. Our plan is to retire in Thailand in 10 years. It is not easy because I am older and thinking about work gets in the way, and your right, it is easier for younger to learn quicker. On my third trip to Thailand, speaking Thai with a vendor, she asked me how l have lived in Thailand, that made me feel good that she thought that I had to have lived in Thailand to know Thai somewhat well enough to hold a conversation. That gave me motivation. The renovations are looking great by the way. I am a contractor and seeing the way things are done in Thailand is very interesting, and the final outcome is still the same, if not better.

Its always heartwarming to see family & friends come together to celebrate something, even those simple events like this.
We Asians love massage at the comfort of our home. A Nuat Thai massage therapist regularly home services us too. Boosts the immune system and for relaxation. We aren't Thai though but Filipino 😊
One more thing from my experience. The cabinet with spice bottles which is a bit on the high side for Mafia . I have all the spice bottles in smaller baskets and can take out the basket and put on the counter and then see which spice I need and then put back the basket .

I like watching the transformation. it’s totally different than the US . If you don’t seal the grout in the kitchen floor it’s going to get black very soon . Grout is very porous .
I have an uncle who was a tiler &his knees r down he is killed with pain that mop is a great jop we had one lik it to make it spin it had a pedal to but it breat to wash &dry at the same time😊
Hey Chuck and Paige and Mom kara and the Mafia gang, great video. I had one of those mops and it broke after a month. It's a good idea but it wasn't sturdy enough for daily use for us. It also developed a little leak in the bottom of the bucket. I have been enjoying your videos while I have been in the U.S. and am almost ready to return to Thailand on August 10th. I've been in America for almost 3 months and have been missing Thailand very much. America is so expensive to live in now and I can't understand how people can afford to live. Not looking forward to the long trip back but will do what it takes to return home. 😂😂😂
They may be planning on bedding your shower tray down on mortar to fill any voids & strengthen it. The mortar will bond better to the existing concrete than tile. They're doing a great job so far, looks great. It'll be a pleasure to take a dump in your new bathroom 🤣.

Day off for the workers today. Yesterday rained so hard they sent the two workers home. She stayed probably only because her husband was busy and couldn't pick her up. Hope they take care of you first Chuck really don't need the carport finished for a few weeks yet until new car shows up. Thank you again for giving us their name they do really nice work. A few mistakes but this is Thailand after all.
I spoke too soon the car showed up today. Told them to hold it there for another week until carport finished. Need Gates on it to keep dogs from scratching the new SUV.

Hi Chuck , I am housewife lol in Singapore and just watched you install more of the Lazada pull out baskets in the cupboard. Can I suggest you add one more at the bottom so it is easier to take out whatever Mafia decides to put there .

I have two more days In udon and then back to my house Nampong and next Monday back to Australia for 6 months. I want to try the carbonara at the Italian restaurant and maybe a good hamburger 🍔 at the other pub tonight??
Morning ❤ Chuck, your mop and bucket is making mopping the floor so much harder and more time consuming. Need a Contractor Plastic Roller mop bucket and a wooden or aluminium mop handle with the biggest cotton Contractor mop head you can find. I use size 20. Oates is our brand. The bucket is round, metal rollers, with a steel pedal on the right side. Roughly 15 litres. Always used commercially, they have different colours for infection control between wet areas etc. They last many year's. Stand as close as you can to the bucket, keeping your back straight, while squeezing the mop out between the rollers. Mop using a side to side motion, again keeping your back straight. Always put the bucket near a wall or solid surface when mopping to avoid tripping on it, never in the middle of the room. Use only very small amounts of detergent/chemicals etc. Avoids slippy or sticky floors and extends life of your tile grout. The mopping time will be reduced significantly and this method will ensure no slipped discs etc. Sent with love, Shell 🥰xxoo

Typical contractor pattern: You never know where the next job is coming from. So, when you get a chance at the next job, you always say "yes." Great fear, though, that if they tell them they have to wait until they're done with YOURS, they won't get the job. So, the rule is: Always take the new job, and, if you have to, start juggling! 😂 Start the new job to show them you're interested; that they made the right decision hiring you. Drag your feet a little on the existing job, cuz that customer is absolutely going to want you to finish, anyway, so they're almost certainly not going to fire you! (You'd just have to hire somone else to finish the job, anyway!)
This is how contracting almost always works, even in The States (which is where I learned it.) Now that they have other jobs, expect them to be a little slower, a little less "reliable." Unless they're booked up solid well into the future, this really is about the only way contractors can be sure to lock down having a job to go to AFTER yours.
This is how it almost always works. But because the customers don't know it--don't understand it--it can get frustrating. But this is what they have to do if they want to keep their business running... thriving... past the one job in hand:
Focus when you can;
juggle when you have to!
The customers don't much like it, but it truly is what allows them to keep their business alive!

Don't think too much in it. It's a UA-cam channel where I share my life and thoughts of other people. My goal was to get you and realize people think too much. Not some kind of sensitivity issue I have with words on a computer. I didn't just start you doing yesterday. I understand how it works normally I don't reply to comments online so I'll share my thought about it the video.

Thai people are right. Food in the US is extremely salty and grease. Also the oil that they use to cook with it seems to be synthetic. In the South of France most people cook with extra virgin olive oil and organic foods.

The last King of Siam had translated William Shakespeare's work into the local language, which was quite a work. I wonder how popular Shakespeare is over in Thailand today because of that, and if the golden tongued flavor of the Shakespearean dialect carries itself over into Thai very well.
I think not so much popular among us Thais except those studying English literature.

@@mijead00you are right. In some news, there are some ppl got killed inside their home as they could not escape the fire from having these steel bars. So sad.
For my home, we do have the bars with key&lock for this reason.
Another reason why there is fire is old electricity system in house with no preventive maintenance. This should be checked periodically.
Truly there is not such thing as Australian Wagyu beef. Wagyu is a Japanese regional beef and if you are using the real thing you will be paying an extremely high price. But with some legal loophole the name wagyu is being used by cheap fast food outlets & retailers worldwide.
Chuck don't worry about what people say. Remember that you dont like being helped to pronounce things. I remember when you went on a rant about phonetics. You live your life the way you want and screw everyone else. Dont worry, be happy!
