Another great clip, Heath. The info you lay out about prices and places are a very necessary tool for anyone planning to come, or even for those who may be resident and be unaware. There is NO SUCH THING as TOO MUCH INFORMATION. Good quality, to the point, and without all of the wasted filler that so many other clips throw in that just waste time. Thank you for all of your efforts.

Very interesting I've been here on and off for 20 years now, never heard of the aircon power trick. But it makes sense, gonna try it. I found you through your Brian Jacks, View Dee video. Your standard of presentation has improved as your confidence has grown.....Good Luck.
The 24 to 26 degree range is optimal for all warm climates in the world. Some countries now even restrict the lowest temperature setting as the amount of energy used is very high at the lower end. Also the older the aircon unit the harder it works to achieve your temperature setting, so regular maintenance is important.

BOLT app taxi service is not government approved GRAB is but costs more due to taxes. I used bolt extensively on my last trip to Pattaya in March. Mostly no problem and unbelievably cheap however if you get your GPS in a strange spot the ride seems to be getting close but never turns up.
All good tips, and a beautifully made video….but 166 Baht Jomtien to Pattaya could be on the high side. A week ago, middle of April, got a Bolt air conditioned taxi for 95 baht, from condo near the Jomtien bus station to Avenue shopping, or Soi 11. Motosai option would have been about 70 baht. But I must know where that street food grill can be found. Thanks much

Hello Heath, new subscriber enjoyed your video very much, very informative. When you say expensive in the electric bill what is expensive for a monthly bill. Thank you again.
Hi Luigi. Welcome to the channel. My electric bill is normally around 600 - 750 baht per month. However, I rarely use the aircon as I have a constant flow of sea breeze through my condo.
Those are some great pointers! I was wondering, would a Berkey stainless steel gravity water, purifying system work with tapwater in the Philippines? Or maybe a gravity feed set up with a Sawyer Water purifier for like backcountry backpacking. I used a Sawyer mini when I was in Cuba with their tapwater and never had any problem. I just bought a few bottles of purified water and refilled them with my gravity feed Sawyer mini set up. That saved me quite a bit of money, not having to buy bottled water all the time.
@Heath2027 NBTC changed the laws years ago. They had a grace period until July 31, 2017 at which time unregistered Sims could not make outgoing calls and data would not work. It affected Prepaid and Postpaid. I obviously used my passport to get a postpaid account in 2004 as I had a business here, but I still got a message to say bring your current passport to DTAC shop before that date or my service would be affected.

Heath a question about the money transfer service, I understand it's not simple to walk in and open a Thai bank account if say staying in Pattaya for six months of the year, would I be correct in believing certain agents for a fee could make the bank account happen? thanks as always for sharing your videos.
Hello. Yes, an agent would sort this out for a fee. However, best to try yourself before you go paying an agent. I explained that I needed the account so I could apply for my retirement (long-term) visa. That had them thinking I was about to deposit a large amount and they gave me an account.
