Tully was the ultimate heel. Had the smirk, had the attitude...I hated him back in those days. He's a lot different man now, and I respect what he does with his prison ministry. His shoot interviews are excellent. I saw a video of him getting ready for a legends show, and what he might not have anymore in wrestling ability, he made up for it with the same smug heel attitude. I had the same reaction watching him as I did back in the 80s. He plays the heel brilliantly. He got the reaction out of me in my 40s that he did when I was a kid. I don't think he could turn babyface in the ring. He's too entrenched as a bad guy.

Ric always had a great answer for everything. With all the charismatic, great wrestlers there are today all of them are "light years away" from a guy that performed in the 80's. There will never be anyone that even comes close to this guy.
I'm in California. The National Wrestling Alliance was on one of those UHF channels only once a week. I Loved it. Today's wresting is missing a lot they had back then.
Tully ain't dead. Arn ain't dead. Flair ain't dead. Dillon ain't dead. Big Dust passed away, but I think everyone else on the screen is still alive in 2020. Even Morton and Gibson, Valiant, Fernandez, Magnum, Baby Doll..they're still alive and kicking.

I don't know,that's a good question.But I can tell ya from someone who has gone to live wrestling events,we would sit in the front row at the old civic center,& during tag team matches,the wrestlers that were not tagged in would jaw with the crowd,& some of the shit that came out of there mouths would make even truck drivers & drunks blush.No offense to truck drivers or to drunks,but those wrestlers could talk some shit.It was a great education for me.lol
