I'm grateful I grew up when wrestling was awesome ❤
the best has come and gone in every walk of life. JESUS is near !
It's sure not that way anymore.
Todays wrestling is Goat Tripe
@@mondocjenson-dy8zd today's wrestling sucks 😔
Me too. Those were the days!
RIP to the American Dream DR. No roids, no Human Growth Hormones, no bs. Just Dusty being Dusty. Wow miss you already.
Just a huge behind.
Met Dusty at a gas station after a Mid-Atlantic match back in the 80’s. He didn’t hesitate to give me an autograph and a kind word. Met him a couple other times after matches and he was always a class act!
100% natural athlete.
Yes lord….. RIP . DREAM. 😢😢😢
Dusty and Ric were two of the best, if not the best talkers in the wresting business. They matched up so well with each other. One wore expensive clothes and rode limousines and jet planes and the other was a son of a plumber. The rich vs the common man.
Piper was better than both of them.
Pro wrestling will never be even nearly as good as it was in the 70s, 80s and early 90s. The personalities were amazing.
Ric is ALWAYS so respectful and gave credit to Both Dusty and Harley Race & Wahoo McDaniel. I always admired that about him. Whoooooo!
Rest in peace to an utter legend of the business. We lose so much knowledge as well as just amazing people as the years go by.
Used to watch wrestling on Saturdays back in the 80's and 90's. Rick Flair and Dusty Rhodes! Classic stuff!
Don’t make wrestlers like they used to. Good old days!
with out dusty rhodes wouldnt be no all time in charlotte flair god rest his soul
Yup
How?
@@Cultofpersonality09129 Todays wrestling looks fake. They even admit they rehearse it. Back then looked believable.
@@elguapo9702no it didn't
One of the best matches I ever saw was Dusty Rhodes, Magnum T.A., and The Road Warriors VS. The Four Horsemen with the original Minnesota Wrecking Crew and Tully Blanchard.
I'm 47 and can't think of a better rivalry. Piper and Valentine was really great too.
Dusty Rhodes, a legend of wrestling along with Ric Flair.👍
I remember watching the two legends every Saturday night down in Tampa on Florida Championship Wrestling when I was a kid.
you dont even have to say his name... just say " THE AMERICAN DREAM" nuff said... what a legend RIP
The American Dream is to be Obese with a huge stomach, man breasts and bleach blonde hair ? YIKES !!!
RIP! Dusty and Nature boy were some of the best smack talkers in the business! Woooooooo😮
The real Flair out of gimmick has a big heart.
RIP DUSTY!! He was larger than life what a time to be a kid watching Dusty was so hilarious to see. No wonder he was loved by all his personality would shine through the TV it was a blast to see!!
The biography they did recently of him on A&E was absolutely phenomenal.
So good
@@WarriorMigs24 Probably one of the best wrestling documentaries I’ve ever seen. On the bright side, he had a pretty good life compared to many of his contemporaries.
This was my grandfather's favorite wrestler when I was growing up, and he quickly became mine as well. My grandparents were some of the first to get cable in our area and the NWA was my choice for wrestling. So many great stars and loved when it was just a podium, an interview, and about 20ft away the ring. No flashy lights, no pyro, just good old fashioned "wrastlin".
The golden era of wrestling,Dusty is the reason I'm a wrestling fan and these days I watch more footage on youtube of this era than I do live wrestling! RIP Legend The American Dream
I got into it because when I would go to my grandparents house, these two were always on the TV.
It's called RASSLIN
"There's not a steroid in this body, Road Wahreeahhhs" Dusty Rhodes 1988
The most honest wrestling promo in history.....
Can't believe it's been almost 8 years.
Rip Dusty Rohdes a true legend my thoughts and prayers 🙏 are with his family and friends
It's so good he visited him before he passed I'm from Richmond va I remember as a kid going to see them wrestle at the coliseum here in Richmond then I would always hear stories about them partying at the hotels here after they fault the same night just great wresting back then
I'm also from RVA, wrestling at the Richmond Coliseum was 🔥
I remember my uncle telling me stories about seeing the wrestlers at the bars partying 2gether
Hey man speaking of dusty I went to a football game in Atlanta one of the greatest games and best times I ever had and what made it great I saw dusty in the airport
My sincere condolences to family and friends. Dusty Rhodes was one of my favorites as a kid growing up watching wrestling. The days when the only smarts were the guys behind the scenes and we were all marks. The blissful ignorance of being a mark was great fun.
The smarts of today don't even realize the magic they have been robbed of.
You had to be there to understand.
The smarts of today don't realize they are the marks
Woooooo! Big Dust… gone but not forgotten!
The WCW was the king of interviews. I used to go to the Columbus, GA TV station for the 2 pm Saturday show. They did live interviews after matches. Then, head to TBS for the evening shows. I watched that in my Ft. Benning quarters. The TV show was free. Every other week, there was a live event at the Columbus arena. A lot of fun seeing the greatest the Crockett family had on their rosters.
Respect to the legends. Much love. My most memorable moments as a kid was eating parched peanuts, sitting near the cast iron stove with my grandfather watching you guys go at it. Thanks for inspiring so many to dream. R.I.P Mr. Rhodes.
Parched peanuts!!!❤️😍👍🏾
It tells a lot about two people that I thought Flair and The Four Horseman wanted to actually kill Dusty Rhodes, but they all loved each other so much.
They were two of the best performers ever Hollywood included.
They were best buddies and everyone thought they were enemies....they honored each other....Dusty was and still is my favorite wrestlers, you just lit up when his intro started.....he was fun the watch. I hope Naitch keeps on keeping on....
Dusty spent many times wrestling in the Bahamas. He was a great entertainer. Whenever, he came to the Bahamas to wrestle I would never miss that opportunity to see him.
Meet both as a kid in lakeland florida in the old Florida championship wrestling much love and respect to both Flair And Dusty may he rest in peace such a legend
These Two Men put on some of the greatest matches in Wrestling History
Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair got me into watching professional wrestling. Two of the best to ever do it
Still the greatest rivalry in wrestling history. Bar none.
Me too. Grateful to have grown up when wrestling was in its heyday. Gonna miss the Dream. He was one of a kind.
Dusty was probably the most 'influential' wrestler ever, because he helped and inspired Ric so much, and was also the guy who inspired Hogan to get into the business. Hulk said basically he copied Dusty's whole style of wrestling, and first wanted to be a wrestler because he would see Dusty at his local arena back in the day. So the two biggest wrestlers of all time Hogan and Flair both built their career on Dusty...
Thanks to my grand parents for getting me into wrestling back in the 70s seeing Dusty and Ric back in the Carolinas.❤
God bless you Ric Flair!
Thank you Dusty
Watching Saturday night wrestling Dusty was always my man. The good old days when you were a kid when you at least thought it was the real thing going. Couldn't convince my parents but I knew.
I saw Dusty wrestle at the Tampa armory with Gordon Sollie doing the TV back in '74 when I was 6 years old. He was my all-time favorite. Rest in peace, "American Dream".
Dusty WE LOVED YOU.❤
I Loved watching these two great wrestlers go at ..they sold it to me as young kid watching wrestling.. The early days of WCW.. much respect to both guys. . ❤❤❤
Loved Dusty Rhodes. The American Dream. RIP!!!
What those two men did back in the NWA days in the 80's still cannot be duplicated or beaten. Wwf stuff at the time was pure garbage compared..still is. That to me was the absolute BEST when it came to mic work and ring action. I don't know how Dusty could go for an hour with Rick with all that extra weight, but, he did it. It was brilliant havin Rick with the title 90% of the time with Dusty chasing it cause we was all suckers tuning in every week to see if Dusty pulled it off. Best wrestling since I been watching in the 70's
Dusty was the man great legend of the sport. R I P to the American Dream!
Love u and have followed u for years also Ric Flair...
He used to come to keywest when I was really to wrestle my older brother would take me I was just in awe over him
There is The Man....Ric Flair! Everybody wants to be like him. Then, there is this guy, I wanna be like him too!
Dusty was one of those guys you loved seeing and listening too. What an amazing wrestler and entertainer. Much respect and love ☝️✨ 7:31
The Dusty and Ric show WAS the best show in wrestling history!! I t was some of the very best tv of all time!!
I remember the NWA days in the 80s. The four horsemen vs The American Dream Dusty Rhodes. That's one of the greatest times to watch wrestling.
Dream and Flair were what got me into wrestling.
Dusty Rhodes - if you will, a True wrestling God. He's the reason I became a fan in the first place. Some of my favorite promos where he would piss off the Andersons. 🤣🤣🤣
He will be mist Rick flair thanks for all the great entertainment over the yrs
My two favorite wrestlers ever
Wish I could’ve seen him in person rip dream❤❤🙏🙏
I got to see both of these guys on the streets, bars & stores of Charlotte, North Carolina.
I saw Dusty in Florida in 1972 when I was 6. I’m 39 now and he’s still my favorite.
Well, that doesn't add up.
Dusty is and will always be American legend legendary Madd love American Dream Rest you did your job buddy.
The true Midnight Rider
'RIP' The American Dream Dusty Rhoades 'If Ya Will'
Nothing but respect from the Nature Boy , to honor and respect the American Dream.
They really sold their hatred for each other on tv, but in real life they were the best of friends. Their battles certainly were epic.
May he rest in peace ✌
It's funny. I've been a Ric Flair freak since I was literally two years old. I'm now Fifty two. All my life I thought that if you were a Flair fan, You had to hate Big Dust and if you were a Big Dust fan, you had to hate Ric Flair.... Needless to say, I didn't like Big Dust. My DUMB butt didn't realize until Dusty died that he and Flair were a bit tight. Ok. So, I'm not real bright LOL! RIP Dusty!
My great grandfather was a huge Dusty fan and on the night my great grandfather passed, Dusty Rhodes faced Nicki (Dolph Ziggler) on RAW: Nov 20, 2006. It's something that I always think about. To my knowledge, Dusty had not appeared on WWE television in many years, let alone had an actual match until that night. Therefore, that night was a religious sendoff for me as the coincidence was far beyond anything my human mind can explain.
He was my grandfather's as well, I'll never forget him calling me, legitimately pissed and ready to go find the Road Warriors (we live in Maine 😂) because they drove a spiked shoulderpad into Dusty's eye.
It's very sad and ironic how Dusty had one of the best minds in the business and helped mold numerous champions yet he never held the big title. God bless his soul.
He was world champ about 3 times😂.
@@robertblackshear8963 you're right they were in Nwa but they were all over shadowed by how much he let people walk all over him backstage due to having financial issues(a fact that Cody talked about right before WrestleMania)
@@johnjly5295 I feel you. They did him very dirty.
@@robertblackshear8963 To be honest in my original comment I wasn't considering the NWA as a factor as even though it was a bigger promotion back then it isn't really considered as such to many at this point in time due to many people not knowing how prevalent it was. Perfect example is that most people from my generation (I'm 32) barely remember the attitude era and only know about NWA from comments they hear wrestlers make on podcasts or in interviews. That's why in my first comment I was talking more about WCW and WWF.
I Wish Could Have Seen Dusty Rhodes Wrestle,.R I P.
There will never be another Dusty, Roddy Piper and Ric Flair
Thats Hard Times
"Funky like a monkey", "Bull of the woods", "PARTING with Bruce Springsteen" R.I. P. Big Dust!!❤️
If you weel . . . .
Legends
Dusty fought the four horseman. I remember watching it. Road warrior. . Damn the good old days.
May he rest up in heaven
RIP Dusty Rhodes ❤
R.I.P Dusty Rhodes
Hard times baby
I loved Dusty from my heart as a child. As much as I hated Flair I loved him too.
Those were the good old days. Skol Vikings, Ric! I know you hate them now, but Skol! Never forget your history!
Rip Dusty the American dream 😢
RIP to the American dream Dusty Rhodes
These two men caused me to start watching professional wrestling.
These podcasts would be so very much better if Conrad was not on microphone.
RIP Dusty
Dusty was the best
THE AMERICAN ICON!! HE WAS THE AMERICAN DREAM THAT BECAME TRUE!! Dusty did it all in prowrestling!!
Rest In Peace American Dream.❤❤
Any impact wrestling episodes
Saw these 2 duke it out in Denver, dusty hit the red, flaur got pinned, then they dq dusty for hitting the red. Fights broke out in the stands, good times
dusty was the best period
What's funny is Dusty called Flair the flim flam man....
Vor allem was war er für ein herzensguter Mensch, ich vermisse ihn.
In my honest opinion. As a life long wrestling fan. No 2 men could put more butts every 18 inches apart than Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes there wasn't an Arena in North Carolina that could hold the crowds they would draw when they were facing each other. It's sad that Bank Of America Stadium wasn't built back in the 80's because if it had been Flair and Rhodes would have sold it out multiple times over. I always tell people that when it came to wrestling there's no era better than the 80's.. I got the best of both worlds.. I grew up watching the best in the business and I also had the pleasure of growing up in the best wrestling territory as well having grown up in Hickory, NC I got the best of Jim Crockett Promotions.. There will never be another "Nature Boy" or "American Dream".
I THINK I WAS BORN THE PERFECT YEAR 1966. WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER THIER WAS THE BEST WRESTLING, THE 4 HORSEMEN, THUNDERBOLT PATTERSON, AND MY FAVORITE WRESTLING NUMBER 2. DON'T EVEN TALK ABOUT THE MUSIC FROM MICHAEL JACKSON TO PRINCE.
Amen brother. Another '66 baby !
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Glad I grew up when I did
“I ain’t Dusty Rhodes…walking around with a David Allen Coe truck driver hat on!”
My dad told me, “When one of ‘em dies, they all show up at the funeral.”🕊️❤️
