    I appreciate your honesty about the depression/anxiety-I'm sure your increased exercise has helped a lot with that,too And the low fat diet increases oxygen to the brain . A lot to be grateful for!

    Andrew, you are flippin' cool. So proud of your journey. I would recommend taking lots of measurements here on out...chest/waist/hip/upper leg/upper arm/neck. You'll be glad you did. My intuition says there will be a book deal or something like that awaiting you at the end of the year. Your videos are an excellent 'diary'!

    Lol I literally did this diet when I was dieting in middle school because JoJo's were my favorite food and I made the healthy version by salting and baking the potatoes. I initially drank diet Coke, but then it stopped tasting drinkable over time, so I only drank water. I also did a half hour aerobics video I found in my parent video collection 1-2x a day. I went from 130 lbs to 108 lbs in I think 2 months.
    Congrats on your big loss!!!!

    Have you heard of the book "Potatoes Not Prozac"? They advocate eating a potato before bed to increase serotonin levels. You of course are going way beyond that! No wonder you are looking so happy! Your dedication and results are outstanding! The photos are a great testimonial! It's interesting to hear you say your mental clarity is improved. My daughter contends that gluten gives her "brain fog" and makes her feel like she is in a semi coma state. Extreme tiredness ensues. Perhaps that is part of the equation for some people struggling with anxiety and depression. Food allergies/intolerances. Processed non-food items! ! You have taken your diet to the very basic level and obviously the effects have been profound! You say you are sleeping less. What is the average number of hours sleep you need a night now compared to before? Congratulations on 100 days! Huge milestone! Amazing results!!

    • @SpudFit
      @SpudFit  8 років тому

      Yes I've heard of that book but haven't read it, sounds very interesting! When I said I was sleeping less, what I meant was that I'm able to function but when I have less sleep than I normally need. I'm not really sure about my average sleep hours, it varies so much with Teddy waking us up all the time!

    Andrew, Very impressive changes for only 100 days! What was your blood pressure reading before and what does it run now? I have been on my high carb low fat diet for almost 2 weeks, my weight has dropped and my fasting blood sugar has dropped but my blood pressure has not really improved.. Thanks

    • @SpudFit
      @SpudFit  8 років тому

      +Billy Dee My blood pressure was 120/80 so already pretty good. In the confusion we forgot to redo it though so not sure exactly what it is now. I expect it's still good though.

    • @billydee2176
      @billydee2176 8 років тому +1

      Thanks 120/80 is great, most ppl do not realize the importance of the pulse pressure - the difference between the top and bottom. Yours being 40 is very good, less than 40 is excellent, mine varies between 50 and 60 . The lower the pulse pressure, the cleaner and more elastic your arteries are.

    • @billydee2176
      @billydee2176 8 років тому

      +Spud Fit You mentioned you had some bloating when you first started. I started eating alot more potatoes and sweet potatoes and cut back on the berries and beans, and I noticed some swelling in the ankle, did you have that too?

    • @SpudFit
      @SpudFit  8 років тому

      That's interesting, I didn't experience that at all.

      Oh well, I think I am just sensiive to the nightshade familly of vegetables (white potatoes, tomatoes, peppers) as I also noticed stiffness in my hands and joints. But the good news is I can still eat sweet potatoes. Thanks again.
