Randomly searching 1.8t videos on here. I just bought a 2002 Beetle Turbo S. I've been out of the VW scene for over 15 years. Happy to see the 1.8t is still going strong. Thanks guys!
Vr6 r32 turbo build is what brought me to your channel then seeing the drag car locked me in. You guys are what a lot of vw and Audi guys are looking for on UA-cam.
Found a good deal on a gt28rs setup for my 1.8t wagon. Will install and tune soon. Saving up for rods, bearings, and exhaust valves like you mentioned before to push things a bit further. I can’t wait!
I just picked up my first 01 jetta!! My first German car, and I don't know much about the 1.8t, but I feel more comfortable watching you guys work, and I'm learning a lot fast! my Goal is 500hp, when purchasing was all stage 2 but definitely has blow by😢 Plan on doing a rebuild myself and finding this channel really helped me! keep it up guys!
Got a 1.8t finally building it I started watching cuz i do everything on my car myself and I need videos like this to make sure im doing it right lol on top of more research but love the videos love the content
1.8t content is what drew me to you guys, I never seem to find anybody explain this motor in detail or work with it like you guys do, its almost as if its neglected by the youtube community but Ive always loved the 1.8t’s and knew they were so good
You guys are knocking it out of the park with content. Thank you for the awesome work. I came here when I was driving a Mk7 GTI, but now only have air-cooled VWs. I can’t quit you guys. 😅
Life long vw audi guy. YT algo brought you to my attention this week. Loving the content!! Currently putting a built 1.8t AEB in my b5 avant. Inspo from CO for sure
Recently subbed because I bought my second 1.8 20v and can finally do everything I wanted to do to the first. And you guys are THE ONLY heavy hitters for this platform. Love from Sheffield UK 🇬🇧
I check out a handful of other VW channels even though I no longer have anything on a VAG platform, but I miss the level of engagement that people and companies have with modifying and building out their cars. So I guess the answer is: Algorithm got me here, nostalgia keeps me here? That said, I do enjoy what you've been showcasing, how you highlight what you're doing, and that you manage to do it without being obnoxious.
Love for you guys from Van Isle way over on the left cost. I found you guys because you cover a great deal of MKIV 1.8t stuff which is what I’m currently building. Really just random searching initially but I check in regularly now. Thank you for all the insight, humour and knowledge you’re sharing. You’ve been a huge help with some of the pesky 1.8t issues I’m working through now and have saved me from making a few expensive mistakes in the process. Cheers
I don't recall how long ago I subscribed, but about two years ago, I had to leave the best job I'd ever had (VW indie shop, Bugs and Busses through current), and now I miss VWs, so between this channel, HumbleMechanic, and ShopDAP, I get at least a little bit of VAG in my life.
Im new to VW’s and was searching MK7 builds and stumbled across your channel. I wasn’t signed up for youtube at the time and decided to do so to support you guys. I still haven’t upgraded my turbo but when it’s time I sure hope to have CO Motorsports do the install.
I was taking an engine tuning class and wanted to find a stand alone ecu for my 05 GTi. I came across your channel on a video showing your ecu that I will definitely get once I am at that stage. As of right now I don't even have a workspace and my poor car is sitting in a storage unit.
I agree with the previous speaker. I came across your video podcast by chance when I was looking for 1.8t tuning on UA-cam. Greetings from Germany and happy Easter
Hello C.O motorsports. You wanted the opinion from viewers how and why the increase. My answer: your quality of explanation and breakdowns is like no other. Thank you for putting on a series I love and follow true to my heart. VW MK4 CONTENT. appreciate your due diligence on getting mk4 content back on the tube. UA-cam and Instagram are my social media preferences. More mk4 content, please. Even if I get to watch some 3.6 material up and coming would be even better and more and more appreciated
I'm here for the 07k content, looking to swap one into something so the specific knowledge helps out a lot. Will require parts that you also sell so very interested.
I think I found you just because maybe I'm ready To Do something 1.8T. Not sure exactly what i was looking up. I stuck around because you seemed to know good stuff.
I guess to explain better you're actually doing stuff you're wrenching on it you're changing stuff you're showing what's working what's not as opposed to someone?m Just saying look at this great car I have and the silly stuff I do with it.
Searching 1.8T builds. Doing research for my build. I am an Audi master tech and VW/ Audi enthusiast. I was able to pick up a 1986 MK2 GTI (dream VW MK1 would have been choice but I needed something a little more reliable to start with. I love MK1 and MK2's). You guys do some amazing work and I love your opinions.
I think the first video i found from you guys was the awd 2.5 turbo red hatchback. I cant remember what the car was. Maybe a corrado? Either way it was by chance i found you guys, and I happened to be a german car fan. I also own a 1.8t audi a4 so its just a really cool coincidence
Came up in my youtube algorithm since i had been watching alot of vw golf videos after buying one. Gone back and pretty much watch every video use have uploaded. Always awesome content and information that the average guy can understand. With me being in Australia the only confusing thing sometimes is when use talk about different octane fuels lol keep up the good work 👍
What brought me to this channel was the MK4s,,,I have one and I'm struggling with everything as I am not a mechanic, just love this car and want to build my own.....😅,,ps send old or secondhand parts if you can,,parts are expensive...😢 it's just a daily.....

For me, I think you guys know already that I found your channel because you were making a ton of power with stock internals 1.8T. I wanted to see the capabilities of the 1.8T.
My girlfriend hates Canadians and it drives her nuts when i watch your videos. I really get her going when i wear my C&O shirt while watching your videos! Love the content, keep them coming so i can drive her insane!
Hates the entire Canadian population....sounds like you need to find a new girlfriend lol. Appreciate you following along despite the other half trying to pull you away. XOX
Hi, love you videos ❤ I have built the same motor in vw caddy bakkie however I'm coming across this program "The oil shoots out of the dip stick or breather or wherever it can shoot out from when boosting" Any suggestions on what can be the problem or how can I prevent this from happening?
I also see you mentioned drilling. Guessing (it sounds like) they rivet the ring gear on the original differential. I find that strange but I'm just learning Volkswagen.😂
nice, interested to see what the Mk6 gti makes with the Boss 500 kit, i had both and ended up selling the kit and car before i even got a chance to fit the kit. I've heard people say there's quality issues with the newer Boss kits...
I got told about comotorsports at the Volkswagen dealership in Sydney Nova Scotia I reached out to Dave he done work on my car and its not even the same car so do not underestimate a Volkswagen totally different car
Did you have issues with bleeding the clutch masters throwout bearing? My brother brought his mk5 gti to a shop and they blew out the throwout bearing twice trying to bleed it then just said it couldnt be done and threw in a stock one.
1.8 content is what brings the people here…such a relatable platform to alot of us and not much people produce VW content like yall❤️
I've had a couple of 1.8T engines but the EA888.3 man those engines are wicked. 😮 Wait until they're cheaper and the tuners really get into them.
@ukwan I had a Mk 7 1.8 a little while back, great car! I got 7R now, and hot damn, that's a little beast! They're truly amazing engines.
Where are these races being held?. And/Or is there a schedule for the class?
1.8t content got me hooked
