Matt, here in the UK we have a saying Jack of all, King of none. You are Jack of all, King of ALL! And your work ethic is second to none. Always look forward to viewing your output. Thank you.
@@mcremona I get that. I have the same one you have now, like it a ton. I got rid of my charcoal filter one years ago. it's not something you need often in woodworking.
I think you are doing an excellent job on your trailer. You would not have gotten one built that good from the best trailer manufacturer in the country. That goes for the sawmill also and the size is fantastic.
@@PryorSebastian My yard is 3 times the size of his, and my basement is 4 times the size of his and I live in a major metropolitan area. I guess size is relative.
This Trailer Has Been a lot of work Matt.. From the Build to the Paint .. Then Take back apart then Paint Then Put it All back Together Wow .. Sucks you didn't have a Spot to do throughout the winter inside That would of been ideal for ya.. BUT Your GETTING HER DONE !! Big Thumb's UP To Ya Sir !! 100 % Real Talk.. Thank You for Sharing ...
Great looking job Matt, sure enjoy seeing the great work you’re doing on your trailer. The extra pains and trouble you have gone through will pay off for generations to come! Thanks for sharing with us and allowing us to ride along with you on this project. Fred.
Looking good, Matt. You're so much more ambitious than I am now or ever was (71 now). Even if I had built something like this I would have painted in sections and taken forever. Stay safe. Bill
The wiring! ♥♥♥ There's not a video on UA-cam for seven-flats wiring, brake wiring, and light wiring that is worth a hoot for complete noobs with a dual axle. I'm hoping this will help. I bought a trailer back when you refurbished your old one. The wiring is a tad janky. I love your builds. That red pops! If anyone hits that, they're blind!
Quality wiring and grommets! This trailer will last a lifetime. Very nice finishing touches. Love seeing momma and the baby controlling he drone. We have other multitalented people in the family I see haha.
Rarely do you see trailers with this much attention to detail in the wiring, home made or from a manufacture. Having been there fixing countless trailer wiring issues and vehicle plugs, I can tell you that you will have a day where you tell yourself, "I'm so glad I had the foresight to do this the right way." The trailer is looking great Matt!
WOW very impressive, having built several trailers and wired many more, great attention to detail. Love the rotisserie, id prob add a receiver hitch in the back for the rotisserie, i also weld black pipe underneath to run the wires,
The paint looks so much better than what a galvanized finish would have been. I hope it holds up well to sliding logs, but I guess it's easy enough to repaint a scratched spot. If you go over this in the video I'm sorry for commenting after only watching 1/3 of the video.
With my personal experience of using POR as a bottom coat only you will want to put a protective coat over it. It chips and scratches very easily leaving unprotected metal. While it’s clean you should give a good heavy duty undercarriage protection. You will thank yourself for doing it now. Trailer looks awesome she came out great.
I've had a difference experience with it. I've had to grind through it to do some welding. That experience alone is why I continue to use it. It was so well bonded to that steel.
I would love to be your neighbor! I would have a lawn chair permanently angled toward your backyard with a cooler and grill next to me and I would just sit back and be fascinated by your work. Exceptionally done!!!! 👏👏👏
Matt. Spray the bottom of the trailer with a mixture of half baby oil. Half WD40. This will give you winter protection that doesn’t wash off without hot water.
Matthew this has been such an enjoyable build to watch! The quality and attention to detail is fantastic. I’m curious to see how much this tank of a trailer weighs empty! Thanks phor making and sharing the video.
Hi Matthew congratulations it is now starting to look like a trailer.on one thing I would have painted the wheel arches inside black make the wheels look great you all take care roll on the next trailer vlog 😀😀👍
I use the same under-body primer paint, PAR-15, for my outdoor wood furniture. It works great. Put two coats of the PAR-15 on and then two coats of a good outdoor latex paint on chairs I built and the finish has lasted 10+ years.
I used conduit for exposed runs of wire on my trailer. No exposed strands of wire to snag on something. Just short exposed sections where the wire turns or penetrates a beam.
great video Matt.... maybe take some automotive seam sealer on all the joints underneath to help with keeping moisture out as there is no way to paint. Love the trailer......BEAUTIFUL!!!

I am a Korean viewer.
Thanks for the video.
I hope you and your family are healthy.
Awesome job, thank you for being able to talk and work at the same time, great Job 👍
You have no idea what a relief it is to see the paint going on at last - and it's not even my trailer!
I was afraid we were going to have a flipping birthday for an unfinished trailer.
Excellent build. Very good colour choice. Exactly the same colour as the Edmonton Oilers hockey jerseys. My home team!
You have my vote for most impressive person on UA-cam. Great job.
🙌
Grace is really taking shape. Great job,
Your attention to the small details of the wiring are what will give this trailer a lifetime of faultless service to you.
Nice work Matt!
Thanks Greg!
Man, a good paint job makes everything look like a million dollars
master woodworker and a pro trailer builder and a good painter. can't forget a great dad.
I will say your a clever guy, and with that top coat you will never loose your trailer in the woods . Happy trails

Fantastic fabrication and finish work.
Well done Matthew. Expected near perfection... and you delivered again. Pete from Edina
Thanks Pete!
I'm glad to see you wearing a respirator...even if it's not the right one for the task.
It's all I have right now. I donated my spare which has the charcoal filters

You are exactly detail oriented and build it heavier than you need just like I am Awesome job Man!!!
It amazes me the giant things you build in such a tiny space.
Wtf, his place isn’t tiny at all, it’s huge by nz standards

I'm loving that new trailer
We enjoy your wine parties on Fridays. You guys are well matched! You seem to finish each other's sentience but with a laugh at the end.
Damn great tear down. You’re good. Shit, you don’t mess around. You are definitely thorough.
I hate painting. Getting ready to paint some trim I need to replace.
It's been so much fun watching this remarkable trailer take shape, can't wait to see the first logs go on,peace Napa Cali

I would have been very tempted to paint over it anyways
I do like the multi colored layers too, it's like milk painting a trailer.
As always you did an amazing job! What you have there is a heck of nice trailer.
Don't know how you managed to make a menial paint job so exciting without a hint of sarcasm, pure genius!! ;-)
