I loved the show. I loved the characters and the whole cast. But I was only 11 when it came out. To me the big theme was the ENDING SONG! I tried and Tried as many did and some still do to figure out what the lyrics were but finally decided (After I recorded it with a little cassette recorder off the end of the show LOL) that they were actually nonsense probably done in order to mock or just have fun with all those that often said things like "I can't even understand the ltrics to those Rock music songs! Why do you like it?" Or something similar. It turns out that I was actually right. That great hard rockin song that couldn't be bought at a record store and that no one knew the artist was done that way on purpose! I still lov ethat piece! To me it's a movement that perfectly sums up the whole feeling I and Millions of other get when a great, TRULY GREAT Rock N Roll song come on and is blasted at high Volume so I can ROCK OUT TO IT!!! Which I did every single time I had the chance until I finally had an actual recording of it.

It was cool driving in those Mountains out west, a little scary at times. It was a lot of work had to keep track of the miles I drove. Baby, if you've ever wondered
    Wondered whatever became of me
I'm living on the air in Cincinnati, Cincinnati, WKRP. Got kind of tired packing and unpacking
Town to town and up and down the dial
Maybe you and me were never meant to be
But baby think of me once in awhile. Heading up that highway
    Leaving you behind
Hardest thing I've ever had to do
    Broke my heart in two
    But Baby, pay no mind
The price for finding me was losing you. Memories help me hide my lonesome feelin'
Far away from you and feelin' low
It's gettin' late my friend, my love I miss you so
Take good care of you, I've gotta go. Baby, if you've ever wondered
    Wondered whatever became of me
