As a Harley guy, I must say I'm liking Indian more and more. As a do it yourself-er when it comes to bike maintenance I must say, that's a piss poor spot for an air filter. Almost as bad as the 1500 goldwings. That being said, the how to videos are great. Every dealer should be doing them.

Same, Road Glide owner, took a Challenger year ride, much better performance! But, remove the tank to check the air filter? No ability still a year later for Lloyd’s to come up w/ a cam due to cam access issues? Mounting a V&H FP3 tuner to my HD, remove a screw for the seat, plug & play. Power commander for the Challenger, removing the tank again & reroute loose wiring harnesses. Not super accessible

i have a 2010 victory cross country with 91k miles. This process is exactly the same for air filter change, same location. However, i can raise and slide it back enough without disconnecting anything on the gas tank to change the filter. I will be trading in my XC this year for a challenger. I'm ready to do it now, but I will wait a few months to see what changes, if any, are for the 2021 models. Maybe new colors? Ruby smoke darkhorse would be awesome, with matte black Indian logos on the tank. To the powers that be at Indian: please add Sirius sat radio. But without the $400 price tag that victory had for the official OEM add-on. Speaking of accessory prices, did your marketing people work at HD? $410 for front crash bars? It's bent tube! Maybe $20 in material. If you really want to put the bitch slap on HD, more accessories with reasonable prices will sell more bikes.

Just a heads-up, if you have a California model the vent line is in a different place. It's under the right hand V cover.

Definitely looking for an aftermarket air cleaner to mount on the right side in place of dummy cover and eliminate the redundant factory air box completely. That's just stupid.

Same location as the Victory Coss Country. For the 2021 model, the fuel pump connector is under the center tank console

Have you informed the Indian forums that these how to posts are available?

Lol. Some of those guys are idiots. I'm an tech, I'll tell someone something, or look in the manual and show them, and it's like talking to a damn autistic wall.

Looks easy enough. Not like changing the air filter on a Goldwing!

What a pain in the arse just to change the air filter.
On my 2021 Challenger the fuel vent line is behind the RHS side V cover & the fuel pump plug & fuel cap release are under the panel on top of the tank

Although it’s annoying it’s still not as hard as a Goldwing.

No way I'm buying a bike with the air filter under the gas tank... That said, I'm all in with a brand that produces quality diy videos.

That's complicated for an air filter. Hope the engineers redraw that one.

I suck at all things mechanical but I actually think I might be able to handle that one. Nah, I'd probably f@#k it up 😆

What about the cable running under the tank that isn't addressed in this video. There are no accessible connectors. If you're going to make a how-to video, at least use an actual bike with ask the parts. The tank can not be removed from the bike as shown.

Ya that’s pretty rediculous. But changing the oil is a snap compared to my Harley. I’ve got both. This challenger is a graceful beast! I’m not gonna let a poorly placed air filter ruin the ride. You should hop on one and try it out man.
