  • Watch this video if you'd like to learn how to clean the Indian High Flow Air Intake Filter. The bike happens to be a 2019 Indian Roadmaster. I almost used the H&K Air Filter Recharge Kit but by shear luck came across the Indian cleaning instructions (see link below). Just use some Simple Green and water. I put a couple links below if you'd like to check out the filter and the Simple Green. Thanks for watching! Please like, comment, and subscribe and I'll see you on the next ride!

    Hello, I'm BG Rides (aka Hollywood) because I like to make these UA-cam movies :) I love to ride bikes around the country and everywhere in between. Traveling on a bike is such an incredible feeling. A group of us go on our annual 10 day bike trip each year. We love to ride, but really enjoy the journey and the friendships on the road. If you're thinking about getting into motorcycle riding, just do it, get the bike, don’t wait. No one's getting any younger and you're going to have a blast! It's all about the journey, the friendships, and the discovery! Get out there and see the country and I'll see you on the next ride :)

    Thanks for the video. About to undertake my first attempt at doing this myself along with an oil change on my Indian.

    Why do some people oil their air filters after the clean?

    • @bgrides2108
      @bgrides2108  5 місяців тому +2

      Some other air filter types require a very light oiling to help trap air contaminants to the filter material as the air flows through.

      @@bgrides2108 thanks for your fast reply .. I was just asking because I saw your video and read on some forums saying “Do not oil the air filter” so I decided to clean mine and when I took my air filter off there was a lot of oil on it .. I’m guessing the mechanics that installed it oiled it up before putting it on my bike … I washed it with water and simple green and dried it out and re installed it .. I’m hoping that the oil they put on it didn’t do anything to my engine ..

      @@married2dastreets your engine is probably fine. Does your bike have an oil breather line coming from your engine to the air filter? If so, that breather hose could be the cause of the oil getting into the air filter. A local distributor can give you the reasons why this happens but it's not that bad of an issue if it's just a little bit.

      @@bgrides2108 not sure if it has an oil breather line but it was a good amount of oil on the filter and on the rubber seal connected to the filter itself

      @@married2dastreets Here's a link to a forum discussing this issue. It might be as simple as a little to much oil in the crank case but not sure. www.indianmotorcycles.net/threads/oil-leak-from-air-box.309160/
