Interesting! PlayFrame released a similar video a month ago, which was just recommended to me today, so I assumed watching that was the reason this came up… but maybe both videos are just being swept up in whatever the algorithm is doing right now.
@@ChesuMori yeah that certainly would make sense. When I made this video I thought it was the first of its kind. I had never seen any other discussion on the idle animations in botw. Glad to get some traffic from it though 😂
You forgot the idle animations with the two handed weapons (greatswords and spears)
....I hate to say it but you missed at least one. Link in the rain, crouching has an idle animation.

@@xsheikah well if you do care about missing a few, there is also a special idle animation for when you're mounting a wild horse which still doesn't like you (important part. the behaviour changes once you get the bond with the horse to the max) since it'll be all angry and try to shake you off in a way, and Link will try not to fall. It's a cool little detail I think
Does the horse eventually buck him off? If so I don’t think I would personally consider it an idle, but if it doesn’t I do
@@xsheikah it doesn't! The animation I have in mind happens when you stop the horse completely without getting off its back. It'll just do that from time to time (the horse has some other idle animations too, only one of them triggers Link's reaction iirc)
Are you sure? His crouching in the rain is no different than crouching normal. Aside from having foggy breath, is there something else im missing(

@@xsheikah if you have a PC, it would be probably just faster to transfer video’s on to it from the switch rather than your phone
