Rauru: No, I've seen visions of what he can do. Definitely the last line.
152 shrines, 120 lightroots, all mainquests beaten, and I had no idea attatching a shield to a greatsword allowed you to parry and block with it.
It wasn't mentioned anywhere in the game, so I don't blame you. It did pop up in one of the last trailers for the game, but it was kind of a blink-and-you-miss-it thing

EDIT All daruk says is link *feels* like time slows down which is actually pretty normal psychologically speaking.
His little giggles as he does a trick off his shield, right back into more combos is adorable.
I always found it curious that Link has always had time slowing abilities. Even in the original, the little clocks that froze time was simply an interpretation of Link's reflexes.
I choose to believe Link's ability is more that he over-clocks his reflexes, considering the stamina consumption, how impossible it may seem, and it's only while airborne.

And this is just lore accurate Hero of the Wilds. Previous reincarnations have shown even stronger feats.
Hero of Time: dead lifted 40 tons, pulled a Kratos and defied fate, killed a god and slashed the moon in half.
Hero of Hyrule: Solo's entire hoards of Lynels with nothing but a wooden dagger.
And don't get me started on the countless war crimes the Hero of Winds committed even if it was a justified response.

Using a memory editor we find notes in the game that show the metal shrine crates are exactly 2 meters in all dimensions. Verified in game by walking across one with a location marked on the HUD.
The crate is 439 pixils tall. Link is 348. So we divide how tall link is in pixils by the boxes hight in pixils and multiply the quotient by the boxes confirmed height and we get around 158cm or just a bit taller than 5'2"
