- HEY LISTEN! If you don't touch your controller in video games, sometimes the character will perform an Idle Animation which can be quite funny at times. In this video, we will take a look at the Evolution of Link's Idle Animations in the Legend of Zelda Series! First time Link had Idle Animations was in Ocarina of Time and it continued in 3D Zelda games all the way to Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild!

Yeah! Every Link has their own little personality and it's so adorable. Personally my favorite at the moment is botw Link, with the 100 year difference serving as some kinda bridge.

My god, Link falling asleep on the toilet in Skyward Sword is hilarious! And then again in BotW at Nighttime. Some of his idle animations are priceless!

I think SS and BotW Link have the most unique/sort of personalized animations, since you can kind of see their personality by body language. Also SS Link falling asleep is cute.
The sneeze in Ocarina of Time is definitely the best.
I always loved having Link stand still in different environments and situations just to see what he does. My favorite is the sneeze Link does in OoT in the Ice Cavern, it's adorable
As it's usually not possible to have Child Link in the Ice Cavern without cheats or hacks, I first saw him sneeze in Majora's Mask when I left him idle while waiting for that stupid powder keg to blow open the entrance to the Goron races.

I always preferred the Skyward Sword design for link, i don't know why people dislike it. I especially don't like white pants and especially not skinny one's, it makes people look like a jester. And the Baggy and tan pants are perfect and the boots fit it perfectly. the chainmail under is also a little detail and the tunic i simple. I don't like Link's hat that much, but when it's short it looks pretty sick and not too overdone

Oh yeah! In the old games he had a fatigue idle animation. But I guess that's kinda mitigated with the stamina wheel.

Link has a shivering idle animation when you go into the Windmill Hut. Why, what makes it so cold?
If Young Link stands right outside the Royal Family tomb where it is raining, he will shiver and sneeze. Same goes for Majora's Mask when it rains on Day 2.

They should have had it so if Link is idle in Snowhead at nighttime for too long, he freezes solid and begins losing hearts. It would make sense, given how others have frozen up in that area.
