Syncopation is another banger one, and with the already mature side on Metal Resistance 2nd album.
Our queen and princesses are undecided, like a syncopated heart, if they are really in love.
Syncopation was the track exclusively for Japanese album while "From Dusk Till Dawn" was released for International version of Metal Resistance (of course that's my next recommendation if you didn't already, live at Budokan 2021 is the only proshot version), although later on they performed this song outside of Japan because is a banger with more rock sound rather than metal.
Along with Karate, is one of those songs many fans got that anime vibes, for me Karate would be the opening and Syncopation the ending, although it works like an opening too. Till this day those were the only BM songs with that anime vibes for me, but after the new single DA - Shingeki comes out, now i got three songs.
This is a live compilation with footage of live concerts after YuiMetal left the group during "avenger" era (gj spotting MoaMetal), Momoko Okazaki and Kano Fujihira are the avengers filling the third spot as a backup dancer. The Kami Band after 2019 live concerts always wear masks, but you can enjoy a version without mask and with YuiMetal dancing live at Tokyo Dome 2016.

Sometimes I forget how good "Syncopation" is... totally kidding. 😁 This easily on my top five and my favorite song from Metal Resistance album. And I believe this is, objectively, one of their best songs overall. Very elegant, with a flawless guitar and drums work, including "subtle" blastbeats which is crazy. Su-metal's usual magnificent vocals, of course. Not to mention that tasty guitar solo leading the song to a perfect end.

Great reaction. Marty-Metal has explained about when the dark robes and then the masks were introduced (nobody likes the masks). Other than knowing which shows a video was filmed at (the Kami Band of the West played the US 2019 tour and the UK & Europe 2020 tour plus Day 2 of the Legend Metal Galaxy shows in Japan in 2020 ... everything else is the Kami Band of the East) the easiest way to spot who is who is by using their instruments to identify them.
'Syncopation' was only on the Japanese edition of the Metal Resistance album released in 2016. The international edition had 'From Dusk Till Dawn' - a very different but, in my opinion, equally good song - I love both.
They have only ever played 'Syncopation' once outside of Japan - that was in Brixton, London in 2019. We couldn't believe our ears when the heartbeats started sounding, the whole crowd went even more mad than we had been going already.
As it was a Japan exclusive track Su-metal has said she was so surprised that everybody there already knew the song.
I'm sure somebody must have recommended 'Syncopation' to you ... just in case any other songs have not been recommended I will say please check every single one out. Also, if you didn't already see it and if nobody else has asked for it, 'From Dusk Till Dawn' (an even more rare live song) live at Budokan 2021 would make for another good reaction.

I'm with you, this is one of my favourite songs. It has a great mood, great tempo, a catchy chorus and fantastic instrumentation. I love the little guitar solos in this.

I also have at least 10 songs in my top 5 BabyMetal songs There are two kami bands East and West When the West Kami band started that's when they started wearing the masks You can usually tell the West Kami band by their guitar tone, it's a little grungier The band is setup to have rotating/plug and play members Syncopation was only performed live a couple times, so that might be why no one request it because it tends to get blocked

'Syncopation' is a killer track.
Pretty much a flawless blend of electric guitars and vocals.
This is what producer Koba said in a 2016 interview:
Q: Of all the songs in this album wouldn’t you say that ‘Syncopation’ has the most Japanese feel to it?
Kobametal: Yes, I would agree to that.
And that is why on the overseas edition we put a different song in its place.
On the Japanese edition we wanted to present an ever more Japanese quality to it and so this song was included.
On the overseas edition in place of ‘Syncopation’ we have instead included the song ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’.
(Of course as it turns out, Western audiences love this song as well.)
This makes a ton of sense. This one is on repeat on the playlist!
If you liked this you may want to check out the live versions of Kagerou and Tales of the Destinies. Tales especially is pedal to the floor prog metal, really an homage to Dream Theater.
To your question about the band, they started using a "Western Kami" band in North America shows, presumably because the Kami band members all have their own things going on and logistically aren't available all the time to do international tours. The Western Kami drummer is an absolute beast.

My favourite Babymetal song
Everyone recommends the same songs (Headbanger, Road of Resistance, Gimme Chocolate, Rondo of Nightmare, Iine, BABYMETAL DEATH, etc) first because those songs have a good mix of what BABYMETAL is about and are also mind blowing to new listeners...kawaii/cute vocals/choreo with heavy music and great videos. Songs like Syncopation, Yava, and Kagerou are also amazing and are in my top 10 favorite BABYMETAL songs, but they also aren't very kawaii as other BABYMETAL songs ...but because of that I believe these songs are also more appealing to more people.

The guitarist is part of the western Kami-band, so is a bit bulkier. The masks seem to be part of the new model for the band to help fans not distinguish so easily between the Eastern and Western musicians.

Nice reaction. This song plays in my car magically every time I get in it. I just don't know how that happens. lol I recommend listening to all their songs. That way I don't give bias to what may be a better song to me. Maybe your taste is different than mine. I figure if you listen to all of them sooner or later, you'll get to them all. Until they put out a new album. and then you're like the rest of us. Waiting for the next Babymetal blessing. Umm notacult. Next song to come out. yea that's what I mean. Next song to come out. excellent content fellas, that was the Kami band west, but the Kami band east also wear the same masks, but for these LMG shows, the Kami band east wore their white robes again to distinguish the two different bands, so other than this one time, the Kami band east started wearing black robes at Legend S in December 2017 and throughout 2018 , but without mask. until 2019 is when the masks started and the Kami band west was called upon from the fox-god to help with delivery of the Metal Resistance.

Syncopation is my #1 from BABYMETAL. The rhythm guitar part kind of made it my #1.

Sycopation is a very popular song amongst the hardcore kitsune, but because it was the Japan exclusive track on Metal Resistance it sometimes gets forgotten and falls down the list of songs people react to despite the fact that its one of their best (in my personal top 3). I've argued that Syncopation is the very first example of the 'mature' Babymetal that they have been evolving into in recent years as the song has the core elements of the kawaii metal gimmick, but its more polished a little more subtle than the more in your face earlier songs.
The musicians for this performance were the Kami Band of the West, who were recruited for the 2019-2020 European and North American tours, as these were long tours and the Japanese Kami Band had other commitments during the tour period. They are a group of American musicians, mostly from the band 'Galactic Empire'; they are, CJ Masciantonio (guitars), Chris Kelly (guitars), Clint Tustin (bass), and Anthony Barone (drums) from 'Shadows of Intent'. The dark robes and masks were added to the musicians during this period to disguise the fact that they were using two different sets of musicians. Most fans hate the masks and are annoyed by the fact that the Kami Band has been pushed into the background in recent times, as the Kamis, particularly the Japanese Kamis, are very much loved by the fans. However, it seems to be a very deliberate creative decisions by Koba that he wants Su and Moa to be front and center and the band not to distract from them.

Like everyone agrees this is one of their best songs but I don't know why not so many people recommend this song. You should try out "Babymetal - Yava" and "Babymetal - Arkadia“ if you like this song.

These 2 shows from 2020. The Legend Metal Galaxy Extra shows held over 2 nights.
There are 2 Kami bands.
The one you're used to seeing is the Eastern Kami band. They wear white robes. They played the first night.
The Western Kami band wears black robes and played the second night. That's the band you're seeing in this video.
The Western Kami band is made up entirely of American artists and they usually play the shows outside of Japan.
What's awesome about these 2 shows is that on the last song on each night, both bands played at the same time. 2 drummers. 2 bassists. 4 guitar players. Also, all 3 Avengers performed with Su and Moa on the last song. It was amazing to see! This is the only time this has happened.

Babymetal: YAVA or Bubblegum Fever (Awadama Fever).
The Kami band from Japan you usually see is in white robes and face paint. The Western Kami band, which are different band members, wear black and masks.
Both have been in black robes with masks since 2019 (apart from Legend Metal Galaxy, Kami Band East wore white but still had masks).

🤘🦊🤘 Ugh, I hate the masks. They introduced them with the Western Kami band but like...we all know that's not our usual boys up there, let us see their faces. Maybe the Western Kamis preferred masks to face paint? I don't know, but it's annoying. The Kamis have always been so expressive, and that is a big part of the entertainment for me. (Also, I fucking love the bass in this song.)
Compellations of this song that don't include pre-2018 clips, is Yui erasure. Change my mind.
Compilations that mix wildly different eras of Babymetal are bad, mmkkaayy.
Babymetal is half as good without Yui. Sorry not sorry.
