Aaaah, I love this song! The verses are so calm, and the chorus has such a great energy. And the guitar solos are fantastic! The fact that it was only included on the Japanese release of the album is a crime! I was there in Brixton in 2019 when it was played for the first time outside Japan, it was a fantastic surprise!

Good one as always. I was at Brixton in London when they played this outside of Japan for the first time (and only time so far). I don't think any of us could believe what we were hearing when the heart beats sounded.

Hi Brian and Stan! Good reaction! "Syncopation" is my favorite BABYMETAL song. It was the Japanese exclusive track on the second album "Metal Resistance" released in 2016. This fan made compilation video looks to have snippets from a bunch of different shows, one of them was Tokyo Dome from 2016 when Yui was still in the group. The subtitled lyrics are a bit off, looks like they just ran them through google translate and didn't interpret them properly.
This a mix of various pro-shot videos. The Yui shots are from the Tokyo Dome performance in 2016. The rest looks to be a mix of recent 2019 performances, so with Avengers. Rarely performed & mostly in Japan but they did do it in the UK last year. Only on the Japanese release of Metal Resistance, the international release has From Dusk to Dawn which has only been performed live once, at the Palladium in LA in 2017. Only fancams for that performance. It is their other all-English song besides the all-English version of The One. Su-metal is her usual brilliant self. Both songs should get more attention.

My favorite Babymetal song!! Great reaction!! This is a compilation video (a really good mande one) and this have some shoots from the Tokyo Dome 2016 show... So Yui was still on the band in that time.

The video is from the AMR channel who takes proshot videos from different time periods and merges them with one concert song track. While it does take talent and time to do it. Many of the performances and backing tracks to each song has been the same over the years.. So that is how in the video, they can take little Yui (who left the group in 2018) in the middle of dance move and next frame is one of the Avengers (1 of 3 new girls) doing the same move.
The way to tell the difference and time period is that Yui and Moa would look like twins on stage with same body (small), hair (pony tails on the side) and same outfit (slight differences like with glove on opposite hand). In 2019 they added 3 girls (called Avengers) to rotate out as a replacement for Yui who left the group for "Health Reasons". These girls also resemble each other, as they are more medium build and have their hair pulled towards the back. Plus they never wear a microphone headset and their costume is slightly different.
You may come across videos from "2018 Download Festival" in England. At this show they were without Yui who had just left the group. So to make it work they used 3 back up dancers (Not Avengers). The also had changed costumes to look more like Amazon Warriors and their hair was straight and long .. While the costumes looked great, they also made them look more mature since the costumes were more form fitting. (Su was 20 and Moa 19).
As for their Band known as "Kami Band" which consist of great musicians from Japan Some main regulars are Takayoshi Ohmura (Guitar)
, Leda Cygnus (Guitar), BOH (Bass), Aoyama Hideki (Drums) and formally Mikio Fujioka (Guitar) who past away in Jan 2018) from a fall late December (2018 wasn't a good year for them). If you have a chance, look these guys up as they are great players and you see them without make up.. (Well Takayoshi wears his own makeup lol). They do rotate out with other musicians when others can't be there. For their most recent tour in part of Europe and Russia they did not use the regular Kami Band, They used Americans, from Galactic Empire and the drummer from Shadow of Intent (This is a benefit of using masks now).

Just finding your channel with this reaction to my current favorite band/musical obsession (which I don't see going anywhere for awhile). This song is absolutely awesome and is on my workout playlist because it gets me pretty energized and focused. I had to go find it on a Japanese site to get it, along with some of their other new ones. Speaking of, if you haven't checked out "BxMxC" yet, give it a go, because it is awesome!
I haven't checked out your playlist for them yet, but if you've done a bunch of them to start trying to do karaoke of their songs, perhaps dive a bit deeper down the fox hole and check out the videos of the girls in Sakura Gakuin with the end of year tests? They are hilarious!
As to their dancing, today Su and Moa develop their dance moves with a new song. Then their choreographer "fine tunes" it for the performance. Also believe Su has more input on lyrics now. After all both Su and Moa have been professionals for 15-16 years.

Oh there is another karaoke challenge but you got to watch the song first then do it the song is Babymetal BxMxC i seen two people try against SUMETAL video with subs and they both failed would love to see you watch the video or audio with lyrics then try to sing it as fast as su can good luck (BxMxC is epic)
There is something about the subtitles with the video that take something of the mystery from it. Plus, it’s distracting, IMO. If it’s possible to be ‘old fashioned’ with Babymetal, I say ‘Watch first, THEN go to google to check on the lyrics. Now get off my lawn!’ 🧐

I do like this song a lot. Catchy AF. But isn't _everything_ exactly _on_ the beat?
(There are drum beats that aren't; but the drummer is an insane genius in every track he plays, so I don't count that.)

This, if anything is a 'Sync'. It's puzzled me ever since I first listened to it. Like 'Rhondo' of Nightmare. Or 'Road' of destiny.
Ok; maybe I'm looking for more in the titles than is really meant. But Syncopation? No; this isn't one.

I think "Suki, kirai" should be translated as "I like you, I hate you", or maybe "I like it, I hate it". Not "Like, dislike".
This song is great but these compilations actually take away from the overall experience. You should watch the Tokyo Dome version and get the real feel of this powerful tune. Good job guys on the reaction too bad you couldn't get one shot show.

I like your reactions ever since I saw the recommendation on my front page of your first Babymetal video. Unfortunately this was probably the first one from Babymetal I coudn't really enjoy, which was definitely not your fault.
I can't tell how much I dislike these compilations. It's almost better to go to Spotify and react to the album version (if it would be available outside of Japan). Because of the constant back and forth between the intros you can't even tell what's going on there and that's one of my favorite intros with the pulse on the screen and the slow building up. What's even worse is the switching between their lineups. One second it's Yui, the other second it's Kano and you don't really see what either of them are doing. The only thing missing would be to do even more different performances so you can see Momoko and Riho, too, and you go totally crazy because nobody knows anymore what's even going on and who's part of what.
Like I said above, the Avenger in the vid you can see for a second every five seconds was Kano Fujihira (b. 2004). She debuted June 2019 in Yokohama, when she was 14 and was also part of Moa's 20th birthday show one week later in Nagoya. Many say she's like a Moa clone, because she has many of her characteristics and really looks up to her since (at least) 2015 when they met for the first time at Moa's graduation concert from Sakura Gakuin. Kano "transferred" into the group 2 months later and is technically still a member because they couldn't have a graduation for her this year amidst the pandemic.
