Good one, this is a great song. It was a Japan exclusive track on the second album (the international release had the equally great 'From Dusk Till Dawn' instead).
'Syncopation' has only been played live outside of Japan once - that was in 2019 in Brixton, London. When the heartbeats started sounding the crowd went wild - we couldn't believe what they were about to do.

A lot of Ragtime music is syncopated. That's where I first heard the term.
This song is from the second album, 'Metal Resistance' (Japanese editions only), and Yui performed it quite a few times.
The footage in this compilation video is all from 2019 and later, so it features supporting dancers ("avengers") Kano Fujihira and Momoko Okazaki.
Riho Sayashi, the third avenger, has also performed this song with BABYMETAL, but I don't think any of those performances were on nights that were filmed.
IMO, 'Syncopation' is a killer high energy track.
Pretty much a flawless blend of guitars and vocals.

"Syncopation" is easily on my top favorites list. It's not even one of my favorite styles but I just love it.
And yes, that tasty guitar solo and the whole ending of the song is perfect.

This song is easily in my top 3 BABYMETAL songs. The guitar parts are great from start to finish, but I particularly love the solos. Great sound, great composition, great technique and - most importantly - great phrasing. To be honest, I'm impressed that the Western Kami Band sounds that good. Especially the bass, it sounds just as powerful as BOH's monster.

Yeah!! My favorite song of Babymetal, ever!! Is simply and absolutely Perfect!!! No more words! Syncopation is directly linked to the music and is a way to highlight specific moments in a song (offbeats). In the case of this Baymetal song, it happens in the bridge they do before the last chorus and ending. But the lyrics point to the mishaps of love in someone's life. With its good and bad things. Great song and as Grington has already said only played once outside Japan i was also there at Brixton Academy and the struggle i had to get my phone out of my pocket was hectic.

Nice reaction. Babymetal doing another uplifting positive song. The lyric writers for Babymetal did a great job with this one as well. Matches up with the music. At times there are music parts that feel like they're holding things back. The vocals break through it. Take it to the gym, listen to it on the way to school or work. Do your best. And you're right Babymetals music is powerful. This song could be about the hesitancy of some metal heads to like Babymetal. Holding themselves back. Their answer to it. Do as Su says "Don't Think, Feel". Some Babymetal songs lyrically are vague intentionally. They want the listener to make their own connections. The song isn't about what they say it is. It's about what you feel it is. This is amazing writing to pull this off as often as Babymetals writers do. The lyrics fit with the music every time. See You
The meaning behind the songs are left purposely a bit ambiguous according to their Producer Koba, the intent is for the listener to find their own meaning in the song, and as Su-metal famously said "don't think, feel" So it is cool you found your own meaning in this song, to me it is one of their best, strange that it was only included on the Japanese release of the album, and the international release had From Dusk Till Dawn when both are such good songs.
Syncopation is an arse kicker of a song and I love it.
You should also react to From Dusk To Dawn! It takes me on an ethereal journey of imagery & senses. From the start of the pleasing, inviting melody, to the beckoning chorus, an unexpected, raw breakdown, culminating into an epic outro. It does have the feeling of Dusk To Dawn, to me!

It is a really great song, and I also like the choreo. But the best part for me is listening to Su-. She performs it so well and in a way that really shows off her voice in a straight forward way.
I still wonder what they mean when they Say "MOST japanese song"... What specific charasteristic of the Song makes It more japanese

This is by far my all time favorite song ever by BABYMETAL it literally saved my life during one of the darkest periods of my life and I would not be alive today if not for this track as well as BABYMETAL in general I'm glad you enjoyed this song as much as I do 🤘🦊🤘

This song and The One are the two songs I can detect the absence of Mikio on guitar. All of Babymetal guitarist are next level talent and can shred out these songs, but Mikio had a way of blending one note into the next into the next into the next that no one else can duplicate. He is missed, but he is really missed in the live performance of Syncopation and The One.

It’s easy to forget this was on Metal Resistance. I think it’s a pretty under rated song that really gave a hint at what was to come from metal galaxy.

Many of BM's songs contain comical elements, and I like them, but I don't really feel those elements in this song. On the contrary, the thrilling development is pleasant (I think it is syncopated?). However, I think the chorus saying 'like it or dislike it' adds a bit of good flavor as you said.

if you look at the heart beat going across the screens in the opening seconds of this video, I think a similar pulse image was displayed on the inside cover of Pink Floyd's album Dark Side Of The Moon. Coincidence or homage? With the way Babymetal pays respect to bands that have gone before them, I rarely believe in coincidence when they have their fingerprints on it.
