Great reaction. This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su was 17, Yui and Moa only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death (actually several walls of death at that concert as the crowd were in sections. A journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, I think it was, 21 mosh pits). This was also the end of a 90 minute concert and yes, they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. This was the official video, they actually cut that outro short by at least a couple of minutes (with drummer Hideki Aoyama and the Kami Band going at it non-stop) while the girls went to each different side of the stage to shout "We are ... BABYMETAL" with as many of the audience as they could get near to. About the song itself. 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, I'm not sure the translation really works so well to convey what it is really about, but it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version - so no, it wasn't Herman Li this time as this performance was all the Kami Band's interpretation of course ... but DragonForce and BABYMETAL did play this together at an awards show in London in 2015.
Its fitting that you mention Dragonforce, as Herman Li and Sam Totman wrote the guitar parts for this song, and played on the album version. They have also performed live with Babymetal on several occasions, including filling in for the Kami Band at the Metal Hammer Awards in 2015.
This was a song which wasn't released yet at the time and this was just the third time to perform it, but the little lady on stage motions what to do and we do it ! 🙂 She had turned 17 a few weeks before, the other 2 were still 15, so ladies, maybe, they are kind of still kids really. It's an amazing experience Babymetal live on video, even better in real live. But can you imagine what it's like on performing stage ?
"You know what to do." Yes, indeed. The crowd knows its choreography. Road of Resistance starts with a wall of death. The pits starts to open up during the very first tunes of the song. Su's hand movement is mandatory but not required. She expresses something everybody already knows. The song reminds you of Dragonforce? Guess which two guitarists recorded the studio version? Herman Li and Sam Totman did. They wrote some parts, too. Dragonforce and BABYMETAL performed Road of Resistance together live in 2015.
Another great reaction, thanks! This footage is from the concert "New Year Fox Festival", held on January 10th, 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena (SSA) with a sold out crowd of 20.000+ people. It was the last encore of the concert. Just imagine 90+ minutes of concert entirely performed with this level of energy. It's just epic! For this music video, they decided to keep the actual live audio (which is great!), just cutting out the majority of the "We are?? BABYMETAL" extensive outro. Herman Li and Sam Totman from Dragonforce collaborated with BABYMETAL, writing the guitar arrangements and also playing on the studio version. SU-METAL still remembers this performance and specially the part they walked on the bridge with the crowd singing along as one of her favorite moments on stage. She also made this song her personal anthem. This also was Yui's favorite song from their second album, Metal Resistance. Until next time!
Good ear on DragonForce, they wrote the guitar parts. Time to learn about Su solos and Black BabyMetal. You want Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro, then Sis. Anger
I got to see Babymetal before Covid. It felt almost like a private show. It was so good. These ladies know what they’re doing. Believe it or not there isn’t a backing track at all. There was maybe 300 people as opposed to a stadium. It was soooo good! And yes, you’re correct on the coworking with members of Dragonforce in the writing of the song. Great reaction! Edit to correct: there are intro/outro ‘backing tracks’ and some in the bridge of songs. Doesn’t matter tho, still amazing.
Fun fact The first time Babymetal played download festival dragon Force snuck them on stag because the promoter would not book them for the festival needless to say the promoter was blown away and they have played download festival several times over the years
You definitely picked a great song to perk you up lol. And this was the last song of a 90 minute show. Yes, they had THAT much energy still at the end to give their fans. 🤘🦊🤘
your reaction is GOLD. Having only recently discovered Babymetal, knowing my feelings towards BM's delivery of music, theatrics, pyrotechnics, choreography, synchronisation, that Kami Band and of course Su's voice has come close to destroying me (in a good way) and I am glad I am not alone!
4:30 _Now Pizza Time! (Pizza Time!)_ 🦊🤘🍕 Thanks for coming back with more BM songs, those are their flags leading us to previous chapter called Metal Resistance, now our girls are already facing a new era and we'll be glad if you take a sneak peek to their new single "Divine Attack - Shingeki" that was released in October, is safe to react so don't worry, this clip is sometimes heavily blocked if you don't put filters so i hope nothing gets wrong in here.🙏 _Road Of Resistance_ is a power/speed metal song, is one of their most epic anthem and got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce (thanks Guitar Hero lol). Is all about facing your own path without looking back. The wall of death is insane just like you noticed, is also called "mosh'sh pit", different from usual mosh pit because this one is safe to participate if you fall everyone will stop until you get up and get ready to keep going with the fun ride. This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015 (a series of three large live concerts), live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena, by this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. The Kami Band here are mind blowing set of elite musicians who were send to help with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (specially the guitarists), all of them are males. They are: - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums. - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly past away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japan music scene. This group and everyone around involved on this project are caretaking professionally every single little detail to put a high quality top notch live show so you can have the best experience you ever had, that's another reason to appreciate the amount of love they put on the show, wether is big or small stage, the energy from these girls will still be there. At the end of the show they always say _"We are! BabyMetal!"_ along with the crowd, that's another line borrowed to X-Japan live concerts, it's a moment to make the crowd feel part of the show because they certainly are. Thanks for sharing this and like i said hopefully this won't be blocked. See you next time and put your kitsune up! 🦊🤘🔥
Forgot to mention about 6 minutes of "We are....Babymetal!" Is cut from the video in editing as they went to both of the side walkways to do this interaction with the crowds on the sides as well before finishing up back at center-stage. 🤘🦊🤘
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。The crowd involvement (mosh pit, call & response, chant etc.) occurs wherever they go on this planet. American people also did good job in any of 20 shows during BM's 2019 US Tour. For example, you will find videos showing 17,500 audiences doing the same chanting (even much longer one) at the Forum, LA on Oct. 11, 2019. In your video, Su shouted some words at 10:25 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. She shouted it rarely since then. Last year (2021), on the final day (April 15) of 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN concerts, Su shouted the same words in the end-all of the show. She did it smilingly with matured, mild and friendly voice. I love this reaction. You may not realise this but it's only a matter of time before a BABYMETAL video makes you cry. My money is on 'Arkadia', 'Shine', 'The One' or 'Karate'. It's not even because they're sad songs (although 'Shine' is usually considered to refer to a sad time in the band's history). Always go for live videos, although it's also good to see the official MVs for 'Karate' and 'Megitsune' for comparison with later performances.
@@schneider1112 Great song, but that one doesn't squeeze the tears out of me for some reason. I don't know that there is any real logic to the BABYMETAL emotional attack phenomenon. All I know is that it can strike any time. And does.

There is a lot of great BABYMETAL out there for you to see. Certainly, you are free to take this journey any way you want to. However, I am suggesting that you experience BABYMETAL in a chronological order from here. Imho this is the best way for you to enjoy the evolution of this band. if you choose this route just check the performances and MV releases to start with early stuff then continue for a long and enjoyable ride down the foxhole until you arrive at current day new stuff. Don't skip it . Road of resistance is imo top 3 BM song . its from the second album . Go back to the first album and check those songs out in full. Get it all man but get it in the order it was created. My suggestion is keeping you in mind for what's best for you.
My guess is you'll seek out every song before too long. My next guess is that given a chance you will like every song they play... Just that kind of band.. You are compelled to look and listen. They are just that unique... Great third... Off to the fourth... See you!
Most common words when reacting to BABYMETAL: phenomenal, epic, performance, stage presence, crowd control, voice and dance. WTF, dude, and bro do not apply. Know what I'm sayin! LOL
@@KenjaTimu if you really want to know about BABYMETAL there are a couple of different ways. Always look for the comments from Rick Wagner or Grington300 300. Or go to the Unhelpful Guide to BABYMETAL.
Cute Babymetal was the best Babymetal. They could still be cute if they wanted to. Have you seen the guitarist for Aldious? She's probably in her 30s and Kawaii AF. Miku of Band-Maid is still very cute.
You're right they are a spectacular to watch and listen. Awesome you're likeing them, the foxhile is deep and full of surprises. Waiting for the next one. Kitsunes up 🤟🦊🤟
Nice reaction. I found the best place to pause a Babymetal video is after it ended. When you're digging it, who wants to stop? We get it. I didn't want you to stop either. lol. The guitarist from Dragon Force worked on the guitar parts for this song. Herman Li has said that they made the guitar part extra hard because they thought they would never have to play it. Surprise, they ended up playing this song with Babymetal. Herman Li said they practiced for a week before the show. The show was great, but the performance was for an awards show. The audience was too busy filming it really enjoy the performance. Making the audience reactions a bit lack luster. That wasn't a problem for this concert. The audience got into it from the start. At the end when they're calling out, We Are Babymetal. That was actually longer during the live show. As they went from one side of the stage to the other where they had extended stages out to the audience. Get each part of the crowd to be part of Babymetal. When they say We Are Babymetal they mean it. When you go to a Babymetal show you need to warmup those vocal cords. You will be singing. This is Babymetal doing full on Epic level. Enjoy the rest of your journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.

Get it all man but get it in the order it was created. My suggestion is keeping you in mind for what's best for you.

Listen to “pa pa ya”
My guess is you'll seek out every song before too long. My next guess is that given a chance you will like every song they play... Just that kind of band.. You are compelled to look and listen. They are just that unique... Great third... Off to the fourth... See you!
Welcome to Babymetal journey,, must check akatsuki & rondo of nightmare before the trilogy,, be carefull the fox hole is very deep 😼
Most common words when reacting to BABYMETAL: phenomenal, epic, performance, stage presence, crowd control, voice and dance. WTF, dude, and bro do not apply. Know what I'm sayin! LOL
Sounds like anime. Squeaky voices. How old are they?
@@KenjaTimu if you really want to know about BABYMETAL there are a couple of different ways. Always look for the comments from Rick Wagner or Grington300 300. Or go to the Unhelpful Guide to BABYMETAL.
Just wait until you see pa pa ya
I know they grew out of them but sometimes I miss the red tutu’s
Cute Babymetal was the best Babymetal. They could still be cute if they wanted to. Have you seen the guitarist for Aldious? She's probably in her 30s and Kawaii AF. Miku of Band-Maid is still very cute.
You're right they are a spectacular to watch and listen. Awesome you're likeing them, the foxhile is deep and full of surprises. Waiting for the next one. Kitsunes up 🤟🦊🤟
love you reaction. I need more reaction babymeyat. and now, I subscribe you
Nice reaction.

After watching Japanese Vocaloid videos I can tell you it's better not to understand Japanese sometimes.
