This week we leave our floating home for the longest period yet, and embark on a trip between storms to Birmingham for the first ever Boat Life Live event. Despite nature's best attempts to stop us from getting to the show, we battle through the wind to make it to the NEC, where we are greeted by a host of incredible boats, and some equally incredible famous faces 🤩🚤

Amy, Wes, Loved this week's Vlog. Wes made me laugh looking at him having only just woken up whilst Amy is telling him to get dressed. Great video guys. Yes, l would swap it for my boat, have my gin Palace on the Thames , then sell it and have a narrowboat built and buy my old boat back cos a lot of blood sweat and tears went into the fit out.

First time we left our boat was 2 days after picking it up, had to cruise from Cheshire to sheffield, storms of Nov 2019, mooring pins barely clinging onto towpath when we returned!

Great video. That trip in must have been a nightmare, but you always make the best of things. Love that Wes gave in to at least one taxi ride. Those boats were nice. You see them all the night around here, although probably not the million dollar yacht. But they are homey. You have a wonderful boat. That wide beam was nice though. 😊🤗
It was such a stressful journey, but we always try to smile and laugh it off 😊 Haha yep, we were really dreading that walk so it was lucky there was a taxi sat nearby to take us! 🥳 The big boats were incredible to see! It must be amazing to see them out on the water too! We wouldn’t trade our little home but so many of the boats were so nice, and yes! The wide beam was pretty incredible! 🤩

Hi Amy and Wes. I’ve been to a few different shows at the NEC over the years but never a boat one. It’s definitely massive and it takes ages to get from the station to the halls. Loved your vlog and it was nice to see different types but I prefer your narrowboat. Great you got to meet up with other vloggers. Nice you got to stay in a hotel and chill eventually 😄Take care. Yeah it’s quite a new thing to have a boat show inland! It was really good though. We didn’t really know what to expect, but I think the organisers smashed it, especially for the first ever year of running it 😊 It was so lovely to meet the other content creators, we were star struck 🤩😂 Thanks for watching as always! @@BoatTime ...And you laugh. I'm serious. Don't sell yourselves short. By next year your channel will be stronger. If you contact Boat Life a couple of months ahead of time and offer to promote them in vlogs ahead of the event. Offer to create some buzz and don't be shy to negotiate your price. Your brand is powerful. They pay a lot for advertising but your brand is much more powerful. Boating needs youth. Look around you, a lot of old people are boating. Face it Amy and Wes, you two are influencers. You both come across as genuine and likeable. They gave you free tickets? They received all of that great publicity. Think about it.

I bet that you guys have spent the next years budget after wandering around the boat show and seeing all the latest gadgets 😆 I would have needed a weeks rest after all the wandering about 🥵
We certainly added a few more things to the 'would be nice' list like new windows, tekdek etc but had to give ourselves a reality check 😅
What a fantastic vlog, it felt like I was there at the boat show with you both. Even though there was some lovely boats, I agree the narrowboat is the best. You both were having a workout with all that walking from hotel to Nec. Didn't Abby of the courtesy buses go near your hotel?
