I know you probably don't read comments from really old vlogs but keeping the cans of paint is a good way of knowing what you have to reorder... you really only need to keep the the top of the can where they have the colour codes! 😉
Amy, you have such gorgeous hair, but I hope the pink dye doesn’t damage the luxurious hair you have. Love your vlogs and envy the carefree life you two live! Always keep your sense of fun and adventure!
Great vlog you guys. Aw Rufus loved playing in that field he’s such a happy dog. Think I would of left that hornet to Mark to sort out like Wes did Amy. Dupes really doesn’t mind have a hair cut bless him. Have a great week
Thank you! He barks and cries a lot but he is generally a happy boy 😂 haha! Amy is normally the resident creepy crawly handler but Wes happened to be nearest this time! Hope you’re having a good week! ❤️
Good night Amy and wess and the rabbit and the dog I started watching your videos of you and your narrow boat I love your you tube channel you make me happy please keep up the good work on your videos
Hey you two 😊👍, we really Love it when one of your videos pop up your both so calming , and we Love Rufus 🥰, feel so so sorry for Wess having to carry the shopping 🤗, please keep safe and when your near a Supermarket fill the boat with food , for goodness sake ☹️😊😊👍❤️
Hey! Thank you! 🥰🥰 the shopping is always a bit of a saga but we get there in the end 😅 luckily we keep a good supply of tins etc. for those weeks when we’re nowhere near any shops! ❤️
Cheers to the new job adventure! If only a drone could have delivered the electronics. Pure serenity watching Rufus joyfully run in the field. I am pretty sure I will need to watch this one more than once. Thank you for sharing.
Home sick this week so of course I am binge watching from the beginning hoping to catch up to real time and continue to live vicariously through you both! I live on a little farm on a river that is close to the same widths of your canals maybe a bit wider...so obviously when I win the lottery I will be commissioning or shipping over a sweet little narrow boat to happily wile away my days. until then I will sail on UA-cam with you both and enjoy my time at home on these chilly days of winter. PS I love the decals! So exciting!! Looks great!!!💖

Lovely video again. Lovely couple.it makes me laugh your scared of so many things and when you get the biggest hornet I’ve ever seen you we’re both so cool. 😍🥰
Aww I watch every vlog and I love them all thank-you so much. Bin feeling bit down just watched this and I am smiling thank-you. Please if you ever on the Huddersfield narrow are near there give me a shout would love to meet you all xxx
Lovely vlog guys so quite and beautiful around this area ,great to see where we will be travelling soon, hope all is going well with the new job Wes ,take care guys 🐾🐾♥️
Thank you! Yes, it’s always awkward being nowhere near any supermarkets but the scenery is always incredible ❤️ Wes’s job is going great so far! Take care too! Xx
I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago and I'm working my way through all your older videos while staying on top of the new ones. You guys are absolutely adorkable and my girlfriend Sarah and I really identify with your multitude of anxieties! It's nice to see lots of your lives inside the boat (and roaming around towns and whatnot) as well as the cruising stuff. My one question (and maybe this has been addressed and I haven't seen it yet) is have you seen the movie Gregory's Girl? It's a favorite of ours. Thanks for the great videos and for helping keep spirits up during some pretty rough times! You two are wonderful.
Thank you both so much! 🥰❤️ Yep, life is full of plenty of anxiety inducing stuff but it’s all part of the adventure! We haven’t yet seen the movie but it’s on our list given that everyone else seems to know it 😅 we hear it’s a good one! 😊 That’s so kind of you to say, that means a lot, and thank you for joining us on our adventure! ❤️❤️
You both handled that hire boat crashing into you totally opposite to what I would have done.. my husband would have been doing the non-confrontational stance right along with you...but not me...I don't know how much trouble I would have made for us, but I wouldn't have gone quietly into the night! LOL!
Haha!! It can be tricky to keep your cool sometimes but with the hires we’ve slowly learned to laugh it off 😂 as long as they’re nice about it anyway 😂 an apology would’ve been nice from them though 😂😂
There is one spot I head for very close to Crick which generally gets great internet and as you say all along it can be a matter of inches. I felt your pain looking and hoping desperately to find somewhere suitable. I like locks too Amy for many reasons-just not too often and as I’m solo single out of preference. Great vlog as always, I so look forward to sharing your adventure. Hope your new job works out well Wes and your holiday a really fun and happy break. Painting maybe😇😅
Ah yes! We’ve found that too, there are a couple of spots but they’re very temperamental! 😅 we have so much respect for solo boaters! A lot more work to do it alone! Thank you so much, that’s so kind of you! 🥰❤️
just wanted to add my first comment love watching you both.love your genuine concern for others.your lovely relationship.from a 71 year old i admire all you do.stay safe enjoy cruising🌹
Hi Boat timers, i love both your Tshirts at the start they're very summery and Wez your jumper at the end i would love to think that some lovely Grandma or Auntie knitted that for you coz its very bespoke looking. Lots of funny moments as always. Amy's drone hornet and Wez's "Thats a lot a lettuce" 😂😂 and Rufus's tow path yoga. Ooh your vlogs just get better and better thank you so much. Sending you all a big hug. 🐕💖🐇💙
Thank you!! Wes found it in a second hand shop, it was so unique we couldn’t resist 🥰 haha!! Thank you so much, we’re so glad you’re enjoying them; and thank you for watching and for the kind words as always ❤️❤️
As normal an absolute joy to watch your vlog. We moored at Yelvertoft marina for a year, May 2020 - May 2021 so it was even more pleasurable see our old cruising ground albeit covid restricted when we were there. Can I ask what app you use to find best internet signal?
Great music, scary being hit by other boats, can't you have a giant pool noodle around your boat so any crashes will bounce off.🤣😂 seems fenders only protect back and front. Have you ever used what 3 words to enable someone to find your location. Keep safe.❤
Thank you! 😊 Wes is really enjoying editing and trying different music styles! Yep those fenders are real life savers 😅 yeah we’ve thought about using that, we try to keep a mental note of the nearest bridge ❤️
Hi Amy, Wes, Rufus & Rupey. Another great and entertaining Vlog. Very interesting the way the Internet is up and down depend on one's location. Are you able to buy boost amplifiers for low internet signals? I have no idea if this is possible, if not, someone should invent it! I loved Rufus on his long lead going bonkers running around like he does. What a lovely Doggy. So cute when Wes covered him up in his (Rufus) bed for the night. It was nice to see Rupey getting a haircut too. Does Rupey come to you if you call his name (I'm not sure if Rabbits know what they are called). Goodness, that hornet was very scary. If that had been me, I would not have been so gentle (providing there were no cameras around)!!!! Wes was very brave telling the Hornet to get on it's bike (so-to-speak)!!!!! What is wrong with hire boaters, if one can't see around a corner, then travel with caution whilst traveling at an appropriate speed. Glad no harm was done. Your (warning) horn is sounding better now. I love your new stickers. They look very good. Considering you were low on supplies, your dinners still looked delish!!!! Wishing you all a great week. Take care.
Thank you! 🥰❤️ we’ve got an external aerial which I think is the best we can do at the moment! There are some spots that are just rubbish for internet. Rupey does sort of know his name but he’s a bit deaf and often just ignores us anyway 😂😂 the hornet was very tense but thankfully it left us alone 😂 and yep, agreed, I don’t think all of the companies tell the hires to slow down! But thankfully no damage ❤️ thank you for another lovely comment, take care! X
Lovely vlog guys. You’re braver than me at getting that hornet out of the boat……I’d be screaming like a girl lol. It’s not a superstition about cows…….its the truth. My mum told me so it’s got to be right. I always look at them and say the cows are stood up so it’s not going to rain. Take care and have a good week. Look forward to next weeks vlog. ❤️
Haha thanks! It took us by surprise so we didn’t have time to freak out 😂 oh right! We’ll keep that in mind for next time we need some weather forecasting! Thanks for the tip! 🥰 take care!
Love the vlogs, you guys are brill. I'm interested to know why you need 10mbps up, I only look for about 3-4 up as a minimum which is enough for HD voice and webcams in Teams or Zoom.. To throw lots of data around if I need to, I use a remote desktop in the cloud, maybe doing something similar will open up more mooring for you?
Hey Luke! Thank you so much 😊 To answer your question, there are 2 main reasons why we aim for about 10 -Amy livestreams on Twitch 4 nights a week so having 10 just helps keep a stable connection in high quality -Wes has to upload and download large files throughout the day for his work, as well as screen sharing and being on calls hope that helped!
So sorry you were reduced to eating your iron rations but l think Rufus enjoyed the walk . Have you tried The Red Cross my uncle said they were marvellous in WW 2 👍
Hi. My husband and I are looking at starting life on a Narrowboat. My husband is a avid gamer. Are you able to game on a PS5 and how much power would a console and 40” tv use. Ps love you videos.
Hey! Sorry for the slow reply 😊 We can use our ps5 and game on it for a few hours! We also PC game for hours on end and its fine. But we do have a full lithium setup, so it just depends on your boats batteries and inverter. As for the tv, not sure I'm afraid as they are all different but probably around 20W 😊 thank you!!
I know it's nearly xmas & there are more exciting things to talk about but.... WiFi!!! Can I ask which provider you're with, & is it OK? I'm thinking of getting a Starlink to make sure I'm always connected. I'll be wfb (working from boat) full time like you & have to be contactable. Any opinions on Starlink? It's mega £££££, £500 for the gubbins then £75 pcm! eeek Thank you! Loving your xmas vlogs! Claire X
Oh, also, I’m not sure about hornets, but I do know that if you squish a wasp (for whatever reason), it releases a scent (a pheromone or a hormone or something like that) and that “scent” is a signal to ALL the other nearby wasp buddies. A friend of mine was on a ladder on the side of his house and he shooed away a wasp that was buzzing around him. As he did this, he bumped the wasp and it hit the wall, fell down to the garden and disappeared.....but within about 5 seconds there were half a dozen angry aggressive wasps and they were all seeking revenge! They started stinging my friend. He came running back inside, closed all the doors and windows and pulled his t-shirt off. He had red welts all over his back and his arms - it was horrible. That was the first time that I learnt that, unlike bees that will die after they sting something, Wasps can sting and sting and sting - little bitey bastards. I’ve NEVER seen a hornet/wasp like creature, in real life, as big as that one you saw - eeeeek Well done Wes, good job - safely back out into nature. 🙂🐿🌈❤️ P.s I just had a quick look online, and it says that there are no giant hornets in Australia....thank goodness 😢 However, interestingly it did say that in the UK in 2022, there were only 2 reported sightings of BIG hornets 😳 and that the UK only has one native hornet, but it’s of average size. So, what was that wee beastie you two saw? It’s a UFO and unidentified flying object 😮 YOU had a UFO inside your narrowboat ha ha ha. P.s the loo emptying....hole, is behind a brick wall 🙂
I know everyone knows this already, but it's still interesting... Strange, scary noises in the woods are literally the origin of the word 'panic': early 17th century: from French panique, from modern Latin panicus, from Greek panikos, from the name of the god Pan, noted for causing terror, to whom woodland noises were attributed.
Hi Amy Wes you lovely people,I know as soon as I start watching you two I’m in for a good time some laughs maybe some tears,so you finally finished you old job and ready to start your new one I wish you all the best in your new job is it doing the same as your last job ,Rufus looks like he is having fun running around bit still on his long lead ,Amy your ideas always work like getting the chain out of the alcove well done you ,,when you lifted the bed up to but your winter clothes away I did notice Was has not finished the holes have not got any more to add to the last lot hehe 😉,,,you two make me laugh so much I nearly peed my boxers lol 😆🫢🤭well guys loved the blogs as always till next time take care keep yourself safe don’t do nothing I would do lol 😂,,,,,John 🤓😎🥸🤩🤩🥳🤭🫠🫠🌹👀👀🤗🤗🙏
Haha! Thanks John! 😂 glad we could make you laugh!! We will finish those bed holes one day 😂 thank you for always being a lovely presence in our little community ❤️
Hi Amy and Wes. Shame you couldn’t find a new place with good internet signal on the Welford arm. Loved the music on the video. It’s great to see Rufus running about and seeing him being tucked in was cute. Like the stickers they look so professional and very understated 😄. Have a great week. Take care. Nick
Thanks Nick! 🥰 yeah the Welford arm was lovely but we have to prioritise work sadly! We were very happy with how the stickers turned out too! Hope your week is going well, take care! ❤️
Its shame you had to erase the last peoples names of the side the boat my name is George and my wife's name was Sheila she died a few years back so its emotional to see it
We have Adders which are poisonous but that's about it. I'm in my late forties and have never seen one so I don't think they are very common but still something to think about.
It’s our bandwidth requirements that make it tricky to find as we need better speeds than average internet users. We have basically the same setup though
The 2 of you, have absolutely, 100% exposed Americans as to being lazy as hell. There is no possible way, I could move my house around and do all of the chores, that you 2 complete on a daily bases. Maybe I'm just getting to old, but even road trips aren't as appealing as they used to be, anymore. I'm lucky to cut my grass every week, during the summer
@@BoatTime Well it's awesome, you guys seem like you are always on an adventure. Exploring your country, your way. I'm just glad you guys decide to bring us all, along for the ride.

Loved this, and when you were tucking Rufus up his little face ... sooooo cute xxx
He loves being tucked in, very spoilt 😍
Another great Wamies adventure, OMG Rufus being tucked in - just adorable. Can't wait to see what you got up to at Crick xxx
Haha thank you! 🥰 we can’t wait to share it with you too! X
Yet again, a wonderful video with you both. Smiling, joking and living your real lives. Love it. So jealous. Keep giving us this amazing content. 👍😊
Thank you so much Daniel! That's such a lovely thing to say, we will do our best to continue to entertain! 🥰

Ha ha, that petrol station probably ordered masses of pasta during the height of the pandemic and they’re still trying to get rid of it all.
Legend has it, that even 8 months later, and to this very day, the Esso petrol station still has endless bags of pasta.
[Buy one pack , get one pack free]
I’m also still laughing about the hire-boat collision.
Narrowboat “bumps” like that always make me think of that scene from Austin Powers where the steam roller is heading towards the guy and they’re screaming Nooooooooooo but no one is moving out of the way 🤣🤣
And with Wes giggling as he talked about it, (with both of you giggling), I kept thinking that one of you was just about to mention that scene, which made me laugh even more.
Ha ha, ok, thanks for the laughs, very much appreciated.
🙂🐿🌈❤️
NooooooOooooOooooOOOOOOooooo.
I love the joy you bring!
Thank you ☺️
Keep your youth lovely to watch thank you
Thank you so much for watching! ❤️❤️
The paint may have a skin on it. Puncture it by stabbing the skin with an old screwdriver then press the paintbrush on it and if there's any paint left it will ooze up thru it. Love Rufus being tucked in for the night x.
Oo we’ll keep that in mind for next time! I think this one was a bit far gone… but good to know! Thanks! X
To stop chains sticking in the armco look for the bolts that hold the armco together and put the chain in the first gap after the bolt..
Great vlog.
Ah good tip! We’ll keep that in mind for the future 😊 thank you! X
Loved how Rufus was doing his zoomies. Fab vlog as always x
Thank you! He’s an excitable little thing 😂❤️
New to your channel...such a great vlog, thanks so much for sharing, have a fantastic night.

Internet can be such a pain! I have a couple f weird tips and tricks - thanks for another great vid!
Agreed! Oo nice! Thank you for watching! 😊
Bless you guys highly recommend vac sacks to put your winter clothes/bedding/towels into as it protects them from cloths moths and mould 😉🤗
Ah yeah, we’ve been saying we need some of those!! Thank you 😊
Lovely cruise and vlog and omg that hornet !!!! You make it all look so easy and chilled. Have an awesome weekend ❤️
Thank you! Yes it was a very tense moment but we survived! 😅 We were panicking on the inside. Hope your weekend was lovely! ♥
Great video as always, loved the music, which is so different to other boaters choice, and Wes’ jumper looked soooooo good. See you next time.
Ah thank you! Wes really enjoys trying different music styles! And it’s such a cosy jumper 🥰 see you next time!
Absolutely amazing vlog!! You really are the purest people on earth
Ahh, thank you so much 🤗 sending love x
Thanks for another entertaining vlog. Hope the new job is going well. Very brave hornet wrangling 🐝🐝

But we do have a full lithium setup, so it just depends on your boats batteries and inverter. As for the tv, not sure I'm afraid as they are all different but probably around 20W 😊 thank you!!
They just waved? LOL
😂 just a lil “✋🏻” is all we got
Working perfectly glad you greased your horn 😜 your both getting a lovely tan . Boating is so much easier in the summer, isn't it?
Thanks! 😂 Summer boating is much more relaxing!!
Lol, a drone🤭
😂
I know it's nearly xmas & there are more exciting things to talk about but.... WiFi!!! Can I ask which provider you're with, & is it OK? I'm thinking of getting a Starlink to make sure I'm always connected. I'll be wfb (working from boat) full time like you & have to be contactable. Any opinions on Starlink? It's mega £££££, £500 for the gubbins then £75 pcm! eeek Thank you! Loving your xmas vlogs! Claire X
What breed is Rufus? He looks similar to a dog that used to live nextdoor to us that was a Spaniel x Labrador.
I’ve NEVER seen a hornet/wasp like creature, in real life, as big as that one you saw - eeeeek
Well done Wes, good job - safely back out into nature.
🙂🐿🌈❤️
P.s I just had a quick look online, and it says that there are no giant hornets in Australia....thank goodness 😢
However, interestingly it did say that in the UK in 2022, there were only 2 reported sightings of BIG hornets 😳 and that the UK only has one native hornet, but it’s of average size.
Strange, scary noises in the woods are literally the origin of the word 'panic':
early 17th century: from French panique, from modern Latin panicus, from Greek panikos, from the name of the god Pan, noted for causing terror, to whom woodland noises were attributed.
Ah wow!! We didn’t know that and it’s super interesting, thank you! 🥰
Do you keep track of all the good sites for internet when you travel?
No, we kind of do in our mind but probably would be good to write them down haha!

Love a vegan brinner 💚
Can’t go wrong 😍🥓
What's your thoughts on wide beam boats just out of interest? There seems to be some negativity that's all.xx
We honestly don’t mind them and haven’t had a negative experience with them yet! And they are a good option for people wanting more space 😊
@@BoatTime yes I wouldn't have a problem with them either. Think it was a UA-cam video where there was a little grumpiness. Thanks guys xx
How come no screens for windows and doors
We just don’t feel like the bug problem is bad enough for them and we don’t want to restrict the views 😊
what 3 words app - great for when you dont know where you are. x
ah yes we use that now it’s so useful! thank you 😊
cows lie down after filling up on grass so they can easily digest it
Ooo cool fact thank you 😊
parasite bee, dont sting/research it ,amazing creature
You are walking through a farmers field of barley???????
We didn’t walk through, just went to the edge to have a look, where there was already a path treaded out
Its shame you had to erase the last peoples names of the side the boat my name is George and my wife's name was Sheila she died a few years back so its emotional to see it
Oh wow! ❤️ sending love. It was definitely sad to ‘officially’ close that chapter on the boat’s history x
I cringe every time you’re in a wooded area or a field then I remember you don’t have snakes do you
We have Adders which are poisonous but that's about it. I'm in my late forties and have never seen one so I don't think they are very common but still something to think about.
The unknown sentence orally rely because editorial typically smash modulo a noisy separated. blushing, decisive example
Huh? 😂
You should not be struggling for internet I have a EE home router unlimited for £25 a month with a foot 4lte ariel and I had signal all over the UK
They usually give their coverage stats as uk population coverage. Starlink would be ideal, but it's quite expensive.
It’s our bandwidth requirements that make it tricky to find as we need better speeds than average internet users. We have basically the same setup though
As for Starlink - agreed! I also hear it uses a fair bit of power too 😬
Great vlog but i just got all your bank card details promise not to tell anyone
🤔
The 2 of you, have absolutely, 100% exposed Americans as to being lazy as hell. There is no possible way, I could move my house around and do all of the chores, that you 2 complete on a daily bases. Maybe I'm just getting to old, but even road trips aren't as appealing as they used to be, anymore. I'm lucky to cut my grass every week, during the summer
Haha, have to admit, we were like this before too, but you just kind of get used to it! We are still pretty lazy mon-fri 😋 thanks for watching!
@@BoatTime Well it's awesome, you guys seem like you are always on an adventure. Exploring your country, your way. I'm just glad you guys decide to bring us all, along for the ride.
@@AngryIrishMan Aw thank you, we are glad you enjoy watching 🤗
