My santa cruz its not is not a truck
it's a sport adventure vehcle with
ten year warranty. It,s one year old
bullet proof,best buy.
So many commentators who don't own a Frontier toss around descriptors of OLD - OUT Dated. Its really not the headline. The headline is "Want a reliable truck, with an efficient NA V6, with minimal accessory tech". Want a truck that looks great, drives well, and fits in your budget? Want a truck that fits in your garage? Want a truck that will last 300,000 miles without worry of a turbo. There are plenty of descriptors that convey the sensible value and style of a classic truck. Not everyone is into high tech, and turbo designs. But thanks for the warning that - it's lacking tech and "old school"
You took the words right out of my head! I just bought a 2023 Frontier Pro4X and it has just the right amount of tech. I bought it to be a truck not a desktop computer. Sure, tech is handy and cool to have, but when I am out in the woods do I really need it? NO!
I would scratch my head and wonder when a customer in our repair shop would complain about fuel mileage with a full size truck. The unibody trucks are for tailgating not half ton use. The F150 was our number one truck for repairs, that being said it was the number one selling vehicle in Lake Co. Florida.
V6 , V8 THE ONLY WAY!! ELETRIC TRASH!!
Most automobiles sold are 4 cylinder turbo and direct Injection, stop/start and cylinder deactivation They are trash
Frontier is perfect mix of old and new. I don’t lose any displays like gm for an over the air update and no turbo crap! This is about the only real truck left for midsize that will be reliable and affordable.
Agree
No we don't all love modern tech.......
I just commented about another post you have on here, and what I said before is evident by this post. Why not ask the people who drive them what they think instead of all the BS ratings places? Tacoma, I have one, is the worst pickup i have ever owned. I keep it for my grandson who is wanting one. He will have to endure the struggles with it to believe his grandfather. I have owned some of the worst rated cars and they were great for me. It depends upon how you take care of them, how you maintain them and how you drive them. Much more accurate than the so called ratings system. That is to me.
The problem is your personal experience doesn’t equate to the aggregate experience of the whole. Every well liked vehicle has someone who hates it. Every hated vehicle has someone who loves it. Asking ‘some’ people isn’t like asking a large sample of people.
I bought a Frontier BECAUSE it didn’t have as much tech crap. You make stupid assumptions.
My Frontier may have less tech then the competition. That's a less expensive headache for me to deal with when the technology takes a dump. I myself I like plain and simple. I don't like a giant ipad as the main hub if it quits I am screwed. I don't like digital gauges which I have seen also fail.
Most definitely the 2024 Toyota Tacoma; hybrid or non-hybrid are very cheap overall and we don’t know the long-term reliability at this point.😳
I'm slowly seeing more and more Frontiers on the road. The limited and proven "older" tech and comparatively low purchase prices are making that truck a reliable value proposition.
Now if only Nissan dealers could not be as sleezy at Kia dealers.
Completely agree. Good product poor sales department.
Need to do video again, speech is all f’d up
In what way?
whole lotta Duhhh here
Frontier is a great truck, N/A V6 can’t beat it
There isn't a thing wrong with the Santa Cruz or Maverick
They are not a half ton.
You can't compare them.
For the target demographic, the Santa Cruz and Maverick are great.
Both sell well. Both sell more than the Ford Ranger and Chevy Colorado.
People wanted to get away from the bloat that has afflicted full and midsize trucks.
To put it in perspective, they both have similar dimensions to the early 2000's Tacoma and Frontier.
You shouldn't have included (the Santa Cruz) on a list like this.
It does what it is designed to do.
Having it on a list of worst trucks when the new Tundra blows it's engine up and is not on your list is just wrong.
Which one should I buy? It seems they are all bad!
I believe most people will prefer reliable and cheap Frontier than 24 Taco.
I thought this was about “trucks.” That’s not a truck. That’s a Santa Fe, with an open hatch.
Five years? Have had one of my trucks going on seven years the other for 22 years. You know they think we all want these features when we really do not. Give me a great stereo and I am happy.
What a lame video
Fuel economy in a full size pick-up? I could care less just give me a good ol V8 and you can also keep all the useless tech add ons
not worth the price... ultra high end luxury ,denali ulutime , tundra 1794 limited or capstone , ,ram tungsten , f150 platinum ,
once you get into the $80-$100k might as well go diesel
@@youtubecarspottersguide1 Once you get into the $80-$100k range, you might as well go home from the dealer.
@@roberthenry9319 go diesel
I am retired and I can not afford a new truck or Jeep now and I have zero credit because I always pay in cash!😅
Looks like a brat or baha
RE: overpriced/less real value (and fuel economy!) trucks like the Ford Raptor, TRX, and Power Wagon even, IMO they're mainly Vanity Vehicles ("Look at me") for some people's weak egos -- same for the Wrangler 392 and Bronco Raptor. How much HP & torque do you really need on the hwy or off-road? Not much. What does a V8 do for me that my V6 isn't already doing nicely? Nothing.
I'm quite happy with my 2021 Jeep Gladiator (Rubicon) as it has plenty of power, gets decent hwy mpgs, and tows more than enough weight for my needs. Don't need a V8, turbo 4, or anything diesel. A N-A V6 gas engine in a mid-size truck like the Gladiator is fine.

I've owned one Hyundai. It's the last one I'll ever own. Fool me once.
Hyundai/KIA Junk Brands, add Nissan to the mix, Nissan NO Tec, Noisy oil burning engines with High Fuel
