At the SLOWER response times, this appears to be behaving VERY similarly to my 35-year old LA-2As.
I’m very impressed.
I have almost never really been impressed by any software attempt at one of these.
Intriguing.
That's really great to hear and a huge compliment for the developers. Thanks for your support and sharing your experience!
yes another Joe video, Joe Carell is dope....love him and he´s a very good engineer
Thank you very much Pasquale!
Joe you killed that mix.. 👏
Thank you Jeff!
As a beginner i was worried to compress too much my vocals even if i heard that it was needed. Seeing a rank 1 profesional compressing -7db without worriness even on two compressors helped me a lot to stop thinking i was getting mistaken by that. Awesome compressor btw. Thx for the video.
We're glad to hear it helped. Thanks for the nice feedback!
You have a very good way of explaining things in a way that isn’t a string of jargon and tech-speak. The PA bundles have made my life a lot easier as a hobby musician (and a lot cheaper). Joe, you’re a legend. Props to PA for the collaboration and excellent plugins.
We really appreciate the wonderful feedback. Thanks a lot and enjoy your sessions!
Thank you for watching!
Great presentation, thanks! This is now at the top of my Plugin-Alliance wish list...
Thank you 👊🏼 Best wishes
Great la2a plugin.....the best one
Thank you so much!
I’m loving the 2A on my room mics for drums. Solid variety of character options. 👌 🔥 Great Demo.
Thanks for the nice feedback and sharing your approach!
Wow, just sent that Sisterhood song to my wife. GORGEOUS sounds!
YES!! Working on that song was a blast. She is amazing and that was a really cool Production. Thanks for watching man!
Hey Folks! I've been using this since you introduced it to the Mega bundle and it's now my go to 2A style compressor on vocals! It's so versatile and the ability to blend saturation is AWESOME! Thanks again so much Plugin Alliance and NEOLD! Top video as always by Joe 👍🏻
Thank YOU for the awesome feedback and enjoy your sessions!
Thank you for watching Chris!
Joe is the BEST, he is really good at his explanations, One of my Favs!
Your reviews are always so insightful and enjoying to watch Joe. Keep up the great work!
Thank you Dirk!
Always great seeing Joe on the channel, and the new plug soungs great!
Thank you for watching!
Joe is the best! I would love to know what that MC404 is doing to the vocal!
Great video and great compressor. I remember after I demoed it last spring and instantly fell in love with it, learning that Neold was 1/3 Reimund "Ray" Dratwa (Fuse Audio Labs) and thinking, 'Yup, that makes sense.' To my ears this is the single best LA2A plugin we have, and that's on sound alone - not even considering the flexability and modern software features. But ... the best of everything here is Mackenzie Johnson. Thank you for introducing me to her. I spent the rest of the day listening to the handful of produced tracks she's released on Apple Music and some older youtube covers. Pop songs with clever lyrical depth, phenomenal melodies ... and just an incredible singer. Refereshing to hear her against the din of current droning pop.
This was outstanding, great job man, gotta download this one as I’m a PA sub 👍
Cheers and enjoy your new tool!
🎉🎉
FINALLY, an LA-2Aish plugin that really impresses me - an actual hardware owner.
Yes, there have been others that do a good job of ONE ASPECT or another of what comes out of these devices. And I give them credit FOR SURE. But I found myself using 4 different versions and developing a bad taste in my mouth towards the entire endeavor.
I haven’t been using this long enough to be VERY confident, but I’m close. I’m really close, to being able to cast off the others and simplify my life with just this one.
It has happened before. Echoboy comes to mind, right? Right?
Add a certain purple 77 thing, and an Xtressor thing and the whole dynamics thing is…well, it’s just DONE, isn’t it.
Now if only we could get something to truly recreate the Yamaha REV-7 “SYMPHONIC” chorusing effect, we could get back on schedule.
Eh?…eh,eh?…. 🤷♂️
Eh
I love Joe's videos! Nice plugin!
Thank you Aaron!
Some Suzanne Vega vibe going on there, beautiful.
Yeah, check her out. Her name is Mackenzie Johnson out of Philadelphia and she is worth searching for.
@@InTheMixJoeCarrell I will. Thanx!
like always Joe Rocks!!!!
Thank you Sebastian!!
wow the song is fire and the mix is amazing
Looks like the guy at the SSL videos hahahahahah are they all using the same guys. Anyway I like Joe´s way of explaining!!!! Great work!!!
I’m new to this as a detailed approach, so is the magic of this plugin the fact that it adds the variability of unit age (therefore the warmth, smoothness, etc that comes with an older 2A)? Is that what makes this plugin unique? Thanks.
That’s one of thing. Being able to take the tube completely out or overdrive It indefinitely is another. If you haven’t watch the full video, I recommend doing that because I think it will answer all your questions. ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Hey Joe, Nice review, as always!!! What controllers are you using?
Thank you, sir. That is the new SSL UF8s and the UC1
@@InTheMixJoeCarrell Okay, so you can obviously use different plugins with them. I was under the impression that it only worked with SSL Plugins. Thanks!!!🙏🏼👍😊
@@DICARLOPRODUCTIONS the UC1 “knobs” I believe only work with their own plug-ins, but the fader packs and their soft keys work with about anything I believe.
Hey Joe. What brand of desk is that? It looks to close to exactly what I want.
Show!
What does creamy and buttery actually sound like?
Milk to the ears 🍨
@@DonSuave milk to my stomach is horrible and water to my ears sucks. So milk is not sounding very good right now!
To me it implies a smooth enough release that the compression is hardly noticeable. And having an attractive smooth frequency response. The opposite of gear that has an in your face sound, bright sound, punchy, mid forward, aggressive….
