I am doing something wrong. I tried to tune my cello, A string popped 213hz and second one popped at 200hz, Jargar blue medium, any idea what I am doing wrong?

A couple of things could be going wrong. The tuner could be calibrated too high. We like to tune at 440. Another thing that could be happening is you are turning the peg too quickly. The pitch needs to be brought up to pitch slowly to give the string time to stretch. Also, are you using the right size string? If you are playing on a full-size cello, make sure you are using 4/4 strings.

I cant go beyond a full tone below the tuning the strings are already so tight I don't want to push my luck.
