They were however, far more impressed that it shows signs of ACTUAL use, rather than it being a safe queen as they typically are. Im proud of that shit. Actual equipment use is a bagde of honor
@@WN_Byers well not exactlety 4. I got it when i was 20. Im 22 now. In my autist mind, "got it" refers to having 3,500$ to start a lay away and walking in saying "i want to order this", waiting approximately 1 year and 11 days, 16 hours for it to be built, shipped to said FFL, then signed to me. I had like 12 NHC mags, holster and all possible shit for it in the waiting time. including a confirmed ammount of bulk ammo of 1850. Whole boxes were fired aside from 1850 rounds that i didnt really count, so a rough guesstimation is probably 2500 really. Do i wish it was more? Duh. 5.56 is cheaper than 45. Right now. Still havnt changed the spring, but it needs it for sure. I compare to saying "i got X off amazon today" but when your buddy asks where X is, you really ment you placed an order "got it" not a "came in the mail and opened it right now" - -"got it" So i "got it" 3 years, going on 4 ago. I also went from health issues that caused sevre hand tremors and couldnt hit a softball at 20 yards to same hole groups at the same range now. . I had to "re-learn" to shoot through this period and a majority of it was with that pistol including others. So im the only 22 year old ive ever known who had a NHC, much less one with a decent round count, who also overcame major health issues, improved his shooting skills to competancey and whos ALSO had 2 seld defense shooting scenarios with a NHC. Side note: ive never had a malfuntion with it. Ive had more issues from all factory part glocks within 500 rounds. 9mm and 45. 2000+ rounds through a 5000$ 1911 who doesnt shoot competitions is already uncommon. Ive made grown men in thier 30s and 40s envious as hell with it. Thats good enough to me
I wonder if the S&W 2.0 Compact would bow like that since it has some internal metal frame? I don't know as I'll never shoot that many rounds through it (unless I both move to a different area, and have a job with the time to try it). Stock flat trigger is OK, optics mount, and a ridge on the slide for slight downward pressure with a thumb - not sure if the slide as a thumb-rest would be comfortable for the amount you shoot though.
I got a first Gen. Glock. It's almost 40 years old. same original parts never replaced.Nothing still shoots like new nothing is bent.Nothing is warped.Everything is still new.I love it It looks like 40 Years old but it's still going
@vaughnsadekni665 how could I answer that?I wasn't the first police officer to buy it When it first came out but I tell you what sure looks like it i opened it.Looked at it all the serial numbers match no parts switch internal not taken out to be replaced but what doesn't matter? It's over forty years old do you count all your rounds being fired . No .what's your point
Yeah man I'm in the same boat. I have a gen 3 with some where around 50-60k rounds fired(stopped counting) and it just works. I hate the feel in the hand, I hate the grip angle, but no other gun works as well. Only things I've replaced in it far as maintenance goes is springs. It still had the original extractor before I switched slides to a optic cut and ported barrel/slide set up. I only have a few hundred rounds on that set up. I've had other pistols start falling apart at 5k rounds fired. I'll never own another Ruger again.
I noticed you have a dagger? How many rounds are you through it? I have one and I'm just under 20k. The striker is the weak point. It will break. I replaced it with a different striker and mine broke at about 10k. My brother's broke at 4k.
@@cnclife2739 yea the frames and slides seem to be really very good, but the parts are lacking. My extractor had all this extra material on the round part so it didn't seat as well, and then the spring bearing plastic cap on the plunger had a knob of extra plastic that just came off when I stripped it. Never heard of any problems after replacing the internals with OE however
@______4790 Yep the only thing I've changed is the broken psa striker. I'm just under 20k. I've logged all my ammo to see how good things are. I have no complaints. I shoot about 1000 rounds a month and it's been great for me.
I think that most of your problems with accuracy, ejection and maybe even frame sag, were a result of all the internal modifications you made. To include the comp, which has to have an aftermarket barrel. That barrel will never out shoot an OEM Glock barrel. Comped guns will cause ejection and extraction issues at some point in all guns, some of which will be ammo related (not enough pressure). Most of the problems with aftermarket barrels is …. They are never as good as the OEM Glock barrel. Leave all of the internals alone, and you can get north of 200K… Great video, and love your content!!!
Thank you for sharing such interesting first hand experience with us! I've always been so curious about the long term round count durability of various pistols. I found this video very fascinating and relatable. Because I don't want to get a Glock, but I think I should just because of how nearly unmatched its durability and reliability is. Probably the best Glock video I've ever seen so far. Very curious to see how your SIG P229 holds up, because I've been considering that as a carry gun for a long time now. I also like all the things I hear about Berettas. I would love to hear in more depth about the experience you've had with them. In my mind I always think that these metal frame pistols should be holding up way better than Glocks. And while the metal frames may not deform as quickly over time and usage as polymer frames, Glocks don't have as many Achilles heels to their design. And I'm assuming you've had locking block issues with Beretta 92s in the past. I've heard that the upgraded ones hold up much better that are found on the A1-A4 series. But even then I'm not sure through hard usage will it hold up against a Glock. It well exceeded pistol trials in the 1980s to replace the 1911 for the military. With 1911s their extractors and swinging links are weak points in the design, amongst probably a few others. Not sure if you just have to replace springs sooner in some of these firearms and if it will hold up next to a Glock or not. If I had to guess the only other semi-auto pistols that will hold up to as high round counts, if not more than a Glock are the SIG P220 series and HK USP series. And similarly to the G17 vs G19, I've noted from people that the USP compact is a bit less reliable than its full size counter part, albeit still extremely good. I think I'm sold on Glock. I will probably get a G17 for sure and maybe even a G19. But I want a Beretta 92 and/or SIG P226 more.
Whether a Glock 19 Gen 3, Gen 4 or 5, they all just work out of the box. I'm no fan of Glock and don't own any Glocks of my own as I own a CZ P10, though it's always been my mantra to tell noobs "when in doubt, buy a Glock 19" when they are unsure what to get as a first gun.... 89k rounds is impressive for a compact duty sized pistol and testament of a tried and tested design.
I carried my Gen4 G19 for a very long time . I moved to M&P, yr 2 of the 2.0 was out . I prefer the M&P and P10c over glock but most of my training group run glocks so I find myself back to training with my G19 alot more.
@jefferyboring4410 I havnt seen issues with any of my glocks. I started with a 17 and put about 35k through it and switched to a 19 for my carry. I've got about 20k through my 19 with every ammo possibility through it. I buy the cheapest for training. If ammo is to expensive I've reloaded. Hollow points I can't attest too. I run 124gr hst and it runs great. I havnt tried many hollow points. That's what makes Glock so popular. They just run and go bang.
@jefferyboring4410 from yor own admission, the problem sounds like.... you. Keep the Glock oem, use non reloads(Glock even says as much in the manual)....they work,as designed....every time.
In many other brands, 89K rounds would be excellent. But most of the G17s and G19s that I've seen going well over 100K+ rounds were all stock, no non-Glock parts. I believe that throwing off the original balance, can take its toll in how the firearm wears, over time. Just my observation.
Interesting to hear that the 19 w/comp is flatter than a 34. I find the stock 34 to be very flat. I always figured I would just carry a longer slide (17 or 34) before I carried a 19/45/19x with a compensator. All are flat, but the long-slide guns get a slight velocity advantage.
I would like to see the failure modes RCAs, Chad at SOTAR style. Was the frame causing the majority of the issues or was the slide? I'd say all the holes would be wore flat out and the inserts on the frame as well. I need all your brass 😅
Solid review. Mines only at about 5,000 rounds right now, but I’ve seen dozens exceed 100,000. Basically they just don’t die. Also lol, what’s up. I moved in with Colton a while back into your old place 😂. Don’t think we’ve ever met. Found this review randomly at work.
H&K is my top pick for Durability and reliability. But Glock is a close second. I would absolutely get a Glock over a VP9 for certain reasons. But I prefer the CZ P10 series for striker fired 9mm pistols.
Hey I know I'm late to the show maybe you'll see this. What round count did you start to experience problems with your p10c trigger? I just got in to my 17th case with no failures on any parts. Did you have any issues with any other parts on the platform? Thank you for your time
Great rd count! Although I am a bit disappointed that the randomized exchange of parts makes it hard to draw conclusions on the stock Glock. "The system works - even if parts are changed"?
I know what you mean man. I've had flings with M&Ps, Sigs, and 1911s, but I always come back to big momma. She just runs and will eat whatever ammo you give her. The mags are like $25 too where other mags are $35-$60 or even more.
Challenge: The M9 has an average frame life of 35,000 rounds, locking block at 22,000, and slide at 75,000. Shoot 89,000 rounds out of your Centurion and then we can talk about that “plastic shit”. 😂
@@hanlonkitto You are right, the aluminum frame wouldn’t droop…it would crack about 1/3 of the round count getting there. it would never make 89,000 rounds (and neither would the slide). On average, getting to 89,000 rounds, you would be working on your 2nd or 3rd (closer to 3rd) frame at that point. “Plastic shit” 🤣
@@GLOCKCOPG23 you should get 50k out of a 92 frame per Ernest Langdon. So maybe you would need to replace it once. Something to keep in mind, did you hear how many times in the video he said that he hates the way the Glock 19 looks? Well. The centurion is fucking sexy and I would rather carry a pistol that doesn't look like dog shit. But you do you homie
@@hanlonkitto I doesn’t matter what Langdon says, because the military has gone through a lot more 92s than he has and they know what you can expect to get out of them. And looks being secondary, as side arm is a tool that I need to rely on even with high round counts and not worry about it self-destructing when the locking block fails or frame cracks. The bad guy is not going to be impressed with how sexy your sidearm looks. Lol. Glock puts all those fears to rest. But you do you. ✌️
would the mods like the comp have anything to do with the sag of the frame? as stated, plenty of people have 100 thousand round glocks, i dont see where full size vs compact would make a difference here considering where the issue is. a 17 and 19 are exactly the same, one is just slightly shorter in the grip and muzzle. i wonder if the stippling would have something to do with it?
How many rounds did you have on the P10C before the trigger shit the bed? How many rounds does it have now? What trigger did you put in it, and was it an actual upgrade?
What holster would you recommend for the G19 to run a comp with? Or what do you think about getting a slide top window cut and integrated comp and ports into the barrel? Many holsters are closed or tapered on the end and wouldn't accommodate a comp all that well.
I have about 1000 rounds through six different Glock 19s owned by others (500 through one and 50-150 through the rest). Never had a failure. Also never had a failure over thousands of rounds with a CZ 75. Can’t say the same about most other guns. I personally prefer DA/SA guns bc I have to appendix carry due to a back injury.
Got the same old car lasting 400,000 but I had an engine and transmission rebuilt and all struts replaced. 😮 anyhow Glock is a great tool. Wonder how many rds it can take before any maintenance.
I have had a similar experience... I spent *years* trying to find an alternative that would run up to the standards of a Glock. In the end....I gave up and built basically a Glock 49.
A while back Hwansik Kim had a PDP with 165,000rds through it. Nick from Velox also has a shit ton through his, and Ben Stoeger also likes the fact that the PDP just eats...and eats, and eats some more. PS. Despite your gripes about the M&P mags, those guns are crazy reliable, too. Quite a few shooters who shoot competitively and put super high round counts through them. I like Glock though. I shoot them well, and I like how they look.
Aren’t guide rods supposed to be changed every 5k? That might be the reason for sagging and extraction issues. Happens on mine after around 5-6k rounds. Stupid issues start appearing.

That's an insane round count, awesome review
Multiple Halo OSTs are a great addition to the background music.
I keep going back to the glocks too. G19 and g45.
id love to realy see the p10c put through its paces by someone competent and thorough like you
The Halo soundtrack on in the background is insane.
Based for using it 👍
M&P 2.0 opion?
I concur with those periodic parts changes. I had to replace my ejector recently due to getting hit in the face with empty casings
Would love to see you torture test a M&P for long term use

Curious to see how that dagger holds up cuz i know youll put it through its paces .i do have a feeling you'll need to swap that firing pin

@@wallytuber No, the one shown here is a new one.
@wallytuber he's mostly right
The slide was bought very recently but the frame was reviewed with the original slide.
All things considered though it's basically new
Really nice to see an actual high round count overview and the gun look the part. Sad that people actually pay good money for that "battle worn" look.
Just....use...it....man...
I have a Nighthawk ive carried almost daily for going on 3 or 4 years now. I no longer have a shooting range on my property to location change. Ive put over 2000 rounds through it.
I showed it to my friends yesterday. They were blown away by it. Fit, finish and everything.
They were however, far more impressed that it shows signs of ACTUAL use, rather than it being a safe queen as they typically are.
Im proud of that shit. Actual equipment use is a bagde of honor
Yeah, but that requires effort. That's too much for some people.
@thischannelisbackon5679 2000 rounds in four years is nothing 😂
I compare to saying "i got X off amazon today" but when your buddy asks where X is, you really ment you placed an order "got it" not a "came in the mail and opened it right now" - -"got it"
So i "got it" 3 years, going on 4 ago.
Thats good enough to me
@@thischannelisbackon5679 it's a cool gun. That's still two boxes a month. Which is again, nothing. That would literally take me 25 minutes to shoot
Why no eye pro?
I wonder if the S&W 2.0 Compact would bow like that since it has some internal metal frame? I don't know as I'll never shoot that many rounds through it (unless I both move to a different area, and have a job with the time to try it). Stock flat trigger is OK, optics mount, and a ridge on the slide for slight downward pressure with a thumb - not sure if the slide as a thumb-rest would be comfortable for the amount you shoot though.
Just buy a PDP if your worried about that. Runs for 120000 rounds no problem.
All I run is the M&P pistols. They have been excellent so far with no bowing to date. 😊
I got a first Gen. Glock. It's almost 40 years old. same original parts never replaced.Nothing still shoots like new nothing is bent.Nothing is warped.Everything is still new.I love it It looks like 40 Years old but it's still going
Does it have 90,000 rounds through it?

You should buy a PSA Dagger 🎉 Holy shit I wrote that before you pulled out the dagger lmao 🤣
I need to start training like you. Good video sir
What happened to your gen 4 Glock 19? Could you do an updated round count review on that one?
Gave a sub for the hard work and money spent. Great channel friend! 💪🙏
Thanks man
Bruh… the best thing about this video was the halo background music… f*ck yeah doggy!
Gotta love the Halo CE menu trailer music!
I noticed you have a dagger? How many rounds are you through it? I have one and I'm just under 20k. The striker is the weak point. It will break. I replaced it with a different striker and mine broke at about 10k. My brother's broke at 4k.
it broke before you replaced it or OEM striker broke?
@______4790 The Psa striker broke on mine ar 10k and my brother's at 4k. I replaced the broken psa striker with an OEM.
Leave all of the internals alone, and you can get north of 200K…
Great video, and love your content!!!
Okay. I dropped everything to watch this video. I got my snacks ready
Did yall drop the frame rate for this video?
I wish we had more cases of the p365 going that many rounds
Whether a Glock 19 Gen 3, Gen 4 or 5, they all just work out of the box. I'm no fan of Glock and don't own any Glocks of my own as I own a CZ P10, though it's always been my mantra to tell noobs "when in doubt, buy a Glock 19" when they are unsure what to get as a first gun.... 89k rounds is impressive for a compact duty sized pistol and testament of a tried and tested design.

Halo score in the background. Man is of the culture.
I carried my Gen4 G19 for a very long time . I moved to M&P, yr 2 of the 2.0 was out . I prefer the M&P and P10c over glock but most of my training group run glocks so I find myself back to training with my G19 alot more.
very happy g19x fan....love the brown, comfort, and function....perfection
The Algorithm must be appeased.
Did you ever try the spring with out the comp?
Glock it a tool. When you need the tool, glocks get it done!!! You can bet your life on it.
Ya a full size but try a smaller version and if u don’t reload! Experiment a bit more and the issues become glaring
@@jefferyboring4410what glocks have you had issues with?
How much do you pay for ammo? I got a 1000 rounds for like $250. Did some quick numbers, $22k for 89,000 rounds😟
89,000 rounds is roughly $20,470 in 9mm ammo. Most people wouldn’t shoot that in a life time so hats of to you sir that’s impressive dedication!
I would like to see the failure modes RCAs, Chad at SOTAR style. Was the frame causing the majority of the issues or was the slide? I'd say all the holes would be wore flat out and the inserts on the frame as well.
I need all your brass 😅
All but 9mm, I'm swimming in 9
Solid review.
Wish we could have seen a breakdown of all the parts wear, like your old videos.
The guy is like a mixture of Caleb Giddings and Paul Harrell. Love it
You were a strong man then. You're a strong man now.
Basically brand new "10k rounds"
“Basicly brand new it has just north of 10k rounds” 😳😳
Hey I know I'm late to the show maybe you'll see this. What round count did you start to experience problems with your p10c trigger? I just got in to my 17th case with no failures on any parts. Did you have any issues with any other parts on the platform? Thank you for your time
Great rd count! Although I am a bit disappointed that the randomized exchange of parts makes it hard to draw conclusions on the stock Glock. "The system works - even if parts are changed"?
I call it a maintenence cycle.
Kinda required for all machines that you want to keep running.
But I get what you're saying for sure.
I blindly assume there is probably extremely little or no difference, but part of me still wonders how gens 1 through 4 would match up.
I know what you mean man. I've had flings with M&Ps, Sigs, and 1911s, but I always come back to big momma. She just runs and will eat whatever ammo you give her. The mags are like $25 too where other mags are $35-$60 or even more.
Are you cross eye dominate? I see some interesting head movement in your presentation.
Beretta 92 centurion is where it's at. Oem mags. No malfunctions and smooth shooting. No plastic shit.
Challenge: The M9 has an average frame life of 35,000 rounds, locking block at 22,000, and slide at 75,000. Shoot 89,000 rounds out of your Centurion and then we can talk about that “plastic shit”. 😂
@@GLOCKCOPG23 yeah you would need to do maintenance on it. At least it wouldn't fucking droop
Chris you always impress me man. Thank you for what you do. You end up keeping that VEPR? Bet it’s still running well.
Still doing just fine
How many rounds did you have on the P10C before the trigger shit the bed?
How many rounds does it have now?
What trigger did you put in it, and was it an actual upgrade?
He has a several vids on it.
How did you keeping up with cleaning/oiling? Do you think that keeping the gun oiled well contributed to its longevity?
Does having tiny eyes mean you can just leave the eye protection at home? #safetysquint
I've had the same experience for over 20years... Glock definitely, but HK USP mags & gun's are exceptionally reliable
How has the finish held up? Any rust, how often oil
Oil it normally
You can see how the finish held up over time
I like all firearms. Walther, Smith& Wesson, CZ, Sig , H&K ….etc But I love my glocks.
Have you tried a VP9?
Got the same old car lasting 400,000 but I had an engine and transmission rebuilt and all struts replaced. 😮 anyhow Glock is a great tool. Wonder how many rds it can take before any maintenance.
I have had a similar experience... I spent *years* trying to find an alternative that would run up to the standards of a Glock. In the end....I gave up and built basically a Glock 49.
The Skimmer trigger is dope. Only one I like better is the Johnny Glocks, but the principle behind both is basically the same.
Glock needs to sponsor my boy
Stupid issues start appearing.
what compensator are you using?
