The Best Ways to Find Food Coupons

- With inflation at a 40-year high, grocery shopping has gotten a lot more expensive. It comes as coupons are becoming harder to find with the traditional Sunday newspaper circular having fewer coupons. However, America's coupon queen Jill Cataldo says you can still find deals. She says most stores have switched to electronic coupons, which you can access through their websites or apps. Cataldo also says numerous stores target their customers with personal deals through their apps.
Still don’t understand to this day how there were some extreme couponers that were able to make the stores pay them to shop lol. I’m sure you can no longer do that.
That was in the good old double coupon days. The best I did was 94% off.
Yea I never understood it either. I tried it. I never saw anything “free” or “the store pays me”
If you buy an item that is .99 but a coupon $2.50 the store would give you overage meaning they will give you back the difference. That no longer happens anymore
They had friends and relatives willing to PAY for subscriptions then donate their labor to clip coupons then those ladies were restricted to buying only those product ON the doubling dates and at those stores ending up with rooms crammed with useless product they never used but it looked great on TV for a while. Unless you have 8 or more kids it's unrealistic and you won't save money and most stores quit doubling coupons long ago.
@Brayden's Minecraft Adventures They’re not…
This clip ended awkwardly. “Good to know”. Lol
This is really a good method of saving money I've been doing it. I got hurt at work and now I'm on disability I only have $100 a month for food it does help. Thank you for sharing
hope you get better
Speaking of coupons, for some reason, Subway is no longer accepting coupons, even though I still get them in the mail. I asked politely at a Subway if they were accepting it and the cashier just yelled at me like I was making a huge deal about it. I honestly just walked out and made the cashier waste the sandwich she made. She actually told me to come pay for it, and I just said no thank you and told her she needs to work on her attitude more than the sandwich. She then cursed at me and gave me the middle finger and almost threw the sandwich at me. All this over a coupon I asked politely about. Like, wth is wrong with people
Things that didn't happen
Lies
I don’t know if it’s really true or not but you should have record her and got her fired too.
I hate when they take advantage of people like yourself! I would have raised hell tbh😂 and for those who say “obviously you never worked in customer service “ no I HAVE for years and I have NEVER gave a nasty attitude the way customer service is now
@@5849_Nearl it was happening at multiple stores but ya I almost pulled my phone out and recorded the incident but didn't XD
My mom used to be literally obsessed with couponing. So much so, that her purse was so heavy. And when she put the purse on the passenger seat, the seatbelt alarm started going off because it was so heavy the car was detecting it as a person. 😂 She doesn’t do it much anymore, especially with Covid. But she used to. It was a time.
Edit: I’m glad you guys find it as entertaining as I do. 😂 It was real interesting. She had so many couponing friends as well. At this time, the car we got was fairly new. She didn’t even know at the time that her purse was the problem. Because our old car never did that. So she thought something was wrong with the car. So she took it in to be looked at. And the guy said “Well, it might be your purse on the seat. But I doubt it, it can’t be that heavy. Let me hold it and- WHOAAA!” He almost dropped it. Then he was like “Uh- yeah. It’s your purse. Keep it on the floor or something.” Lol. She had this one purse DEDICATED to coupons.
🤣🤣🤣
You sure it's the weight of the coupon and not the weight of all the $ she is carrying? 😆
😂😂
the good old times
@@persimmon93 nah its probably like 87 coupon books.
I died how it ended with “good to know” I felt as if it was sarcasm 😂😂😂
Grocery store apps, in-store deals, and CLEARANCE areas in stores (usually more than 1 area). I still save 40-60% but I feel the paper couponing days had better sales.
I absolutely love coupon🙌🏾 I have two large binders I take with me every grocery trip lol
Poor
Yep
@@littledudefromacrossthestr5755 lolol
Where do you get the coupons
@@littledudefromacrossthestr5755 Lmao, have you ever heard of budgeting and being responsible with your money? I can guarantee your probably like in middle school or younger,
That one coupon show should be revived
Edit: I was referring to extreme couponing TLC
You mean extreme couponing on TLC, those were some legit deals on that flick.
@@actiongamemaster8082 yessir
That show was fake and unrealistic. Couponing definitely looks different than it does today.
@@jowens197 it’s true, I saw an episode when the store actually owed her money!
@@actiongamemaster8082 It came out that the stores sometimed changed their policies to accommodate the show. And some people used fake coupons.
I’ve been doing this for about a year and it’s really not that hard to do. Takes me about 10 extra minutes every week to look at the ad and add those electronic coupons to my account. I usually save 50% or more. It’s way easier than paper coupons.
What app do you use for couponing? Thank you
@@lillexieprincess You just need to get the app of the grocery store you shop at. And look for buttons that say coupons, discounts, U or just for U. It’s mainly for large national chains like Albertsons and Ralph’s and the stores that fall under those conglomerates.
@@lillexieprincess you’ll need to create a log in and add your phone number that you use in store at payment.
In some stores, like Target, you can scan the items in your cart in the app, and if there's a coupon it will come up and you can add it.
@@melanievivas706
If there is a coupon for a product how do you utilize the coupon?
I remember my stepdad was really into couponing. He saved up a lot of coupons and ended up saving like $300 one time. He doesn’t do it much now because of covid tho.
She lived up to her name - Coupon Queen. Making so much savings in a single purchase.
Major retailers have an app on iOS or Android. Manufacturer coupons work everywhere.
KARENS THIS IS THE VIDEO FOR YOU!!!!!!
Dollar General has an app with digital coupons and 5$ off a 25$ purchase every Saturday… You just have to remember to add the coupons to your account every week so they apply at check out.
Just saying incase anyone didn’t know
I dumpster dive sometimes . Which I’m not ashamed to admit
In CANADA- I get FREEBIES like this: My Superstore gives me deals based on my shopping or suggestions for example. Points = $$. They will offer me $2 back for every rice I purchase, so I carry over that offer weekly until That rice goes on for around $2.00 or less & I get a whole bunch of bags for free.
As a Canadian, is this in their app?
Never could vet the extreme couponers ..I tried about 12 15 yrs ago.. and stores would stop me from using multiple coupons in one transaction.. So instead I would waste money on printing them out and wasted lots of time looking for coupons.smdh
Stores make coupons hard to use. Once you pull up with one they treat you like second rate.
Yes! I don't get way they Hate couponers so much! We r just trying to save $$
I'm not mad at her. My local grocery store has Popeyes coupons on the back of their receipt. $10 for 10 pices of chicken and $5 more for 5 biscuits and a large side. You can't even get that deal through their app.
What store? Is it Kroger or hyvee?
@@mimipanda8431 Tony's Finer Foods. Most people don't even look at the back of their receipt. It's more likely your regional chain will have them, not the mega chains.
The ending edit.. "Good to know" 😂😂
stores must be like
"God damn it, the coupon lady is coming back."
Everytime I use a phone coupon the amount of effort it takes to get it to work or make sure the cashier isn't scamming me by saying it scanned only to charge me full price is more than the money I would've saved.
If only there were some way for you to LOOK at the total amount to see if it actually went down or not. 🤔
I hate how sam's club has 2 different prices within the app and instore. To hell with them
Hardly no more paper coupons put a stop to the coupon hoarders, most of the time the store only allows you 4 to 5 items with the same coupon. She is shopping at Safeway and there limit on most things is 4.
Actually, Jewel-Osco (look at the bottom of the receipt), but the same store.
When the Coupon Queen actually has to spend money is a sad day...
Saigon street (Vietnam) thank you my friend for sharing good video. I really like your video. I wish my friend a good and successful day. Greetings from Vietnam to you..👍🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳
Yeah, also another thing worth noting. Don’t be like those extreme couponers who get any item under the sun just because there’s a good deal on it. Unless you’ll use it before a product goes bad, there’s no point in spending any money on it. Also, nobody needs a stockpile of 50 years worth of paper products…
Some coupons say 1 per customer 😕
There were a few in about 2000 that would get a basket full and pay a few dollars at a store I worked at. I tried that but couldn't find coupons for things I'd eat. Maybe if the paper was free it would work. Yeah you can save but it doesn't matter if you won't eat it.
Yet they never told us the app -.-
Y’all can still do this…. I coupon when I have time, but now am trying to do it more and more. Yes there’s more deals online now on apps and such. I do like old school coupons even though I’m only 26. But I do use digital coupons too. I Coupon mostly at CVS. My last trip I saved like $35 with my coupons and rewards points. Not bad. My total was $91 but was able to get to down to 50 something dollars.
Karen definitely knows the best coupon deals Yo!!!
A nice woman is giving you money saving tips and you thank her with a derogatory name.
@@sunnydelight5255 Yes. Exactly. Thank You Karen #2.
I hope she finds a coupon to fix her phone screen.
😂
I am all for saving money and for using coupons, but why does some people take it to the extremes?
Hi, guys. Im a foreigner moving to NY for two months and im afraid everything is going to be very expensive there. Compared to the salary I make in Europe, which doesn't get to 1300 EUR a month, I was wondering how could I save some money on groceries while not eating fast food. Could you share some tips on how to find and how to use coupons? Thanks in advance!
No doubt this is absolutely cool this would help people save so much🤔
I only buy discount meat, digital coupons, case sales and rebate apps. It really helps. If you get cheap fruit, freeze it. Meat, freeze it. I can save $80 -$100 every trip. I've allay gotten really good at canning. Going old school, lol. Waste not want not. Don't forget to regrow green onions and save vegetable scraps in the freezer to make a good stock for a 0 waste kitchen.
"Good to know." *orders doordash*
Reminds me of those coupon collectors.
I don’t even shop in those stores I go to restaurants and have them make the food for me instead which is alot easier then going to a grocery store then have to cook it at home
Ty for convincing me
you can only do this in America tho. something being discounted twice.
Sadly, Jill’s Cataldo took one for the team, Cataldo not pronounced properly, video stated Catalado.
Few item on sale, to make trip to supermarket every week will cost u more then that.
Im in Canada where do you find e coupons never heard anyone talk about it or use them is that just a states thing just curious?
I freaking love coupons
I wanna be a coupon queen 👑
I can go 30 days without a proper meal but after some time it does get painful

This is why you just find a person who can buy you a quarter cow, so much better
It really is. We buy a side of beef every year and a whole hog from a guy my husband knows from his old home town.
I'm glad my mom's raised me right
Coupons does not exist in sweden, only giftcards

We prep meals and buy in bulk
How about expensive pet foods? Does anyone have suggestions how to save more money on these with coupons of any kind?
Insert Kristen Bell meme
What grocery store was that
Safeway or Albertsons. Signature select is a Safeway brand.
Second Comment guys without post notfications :)
WhT store is she in
i just wish we didnt need secret knowledge of coupons to get cheaper products. Couldn't they just make it the price
No because it’s a sale, that’s like saying well why isn’t everything on sale. Soft brain energy
Or maybe the stores could just give away all their stuff for free...? 😆
(btw, downloading a store's official app isn't "secret knowledge")
The store: watch out Keith, the coupon lady is back.

Honey: Am I a joke to you?
Look at all your fast food receipts because there's always a coupon for a free sandwich
Yeah better get your coupons

I remember when 4Chan created coupons that allowed you to buy small items and get bigger items. Who ever remembers buying 2 bottles of baby formula and getting 2 flat screens for free?
Wow
The best coupon is stealing
I wonder what supermarket she want to?
ive seen pasta waaay cheaper than 99cents
Bad thumbnail
I'm a guy and I still have no idea what to even do with a coupon 0_0
Or another solution is to go shop at Walmart.
Hi
The coupons went away because people abused them and turned it into a business
Coupon don’t exist in CA
This is the most useless thing in where iam from. Malls dont know anything about coupons, only a minimal discount (vegetables and meat products only).
It's not 2001 anymore no one uses coupons 😑
Yeah, they're only for ppl with any common sense or budgeting skills. All the cool kids enjoy paying full price for fun things like toilet paper.
I do.
Yeah but i want good deals regardless of the year😅
I'm still using hardcopy coupons that I get in mail.etc but what she's saying for e coupons is that I need to go to each store that I use as their
