- A brave bridesmaid is being hailed a hero after removing a snake from her sister’s wedding. It happened in Florence, Arizona. Erika Rodriguez was fearless and showed zero hesitation after swooping the slithering creature up. A parade of guests followed along with their cellphones as she removed the snake from the wedding venue. Rodriguez says she learned the right way to grab a snake from Steve Irwin's show. Inside Edition’s Alison Hall has more.
The snake was actually invited, it just forgot it’s invitation. The snake should sue.
😂😂
Ssssssssue 🐍😄
"Not poisonous"? Doesn't matter to me, still running my ass off 🏃 😅
Lol

Steve Irwin shaped an entire generation. Truly legendary man
Animal abuser who abused the wrong animal.

@@williamwilson6499 That's not even a decent troll dude. People can smell you from a mile away lol
It's not really the right way to hold a snake either.
He took chances.
Now that's what I call a loyal bridesmaid and a loyal sister
WRONG. A loyal person would eat the snake and seem even more hard-core and put on a show.
She's riotously beautiful and gorgeous!

@@otal0721 I’ll see your six and go to 6.333. Looks like I get the girl. Sorry. Go higher next time.
A gopher snake is harmless. The lady recognized this and safety relocated it. Respect.
EDIT: At the 1:07 mark in the Inside Edition video, the reporter stated that the snake was a gopher snake.
Not to the gopher it isn’t.
This is anit-gopher propaganda. You people just show up everywhere don't you.
But I thought you grab them by the neck, so they can't maneuver around to bite.
I'll be honest I'm not sure what she thought. And knew if the snake was venomous or not.
But the way she is handling the snake (her body language) says she's afraid disgusted, and or uncomfortable. It could be any one of three or a combination of them
@@spwan10 I think if she were afraid, she simply would've took off.
"Why isn't that girl scared of anything?!" Sent me 😂
It was a gopher snake, how is this brave?
@@NotSure876 people naturally find snakes scary.
@@fuzz6938 ya, I find that weird though
@fuzz: Some folks. Most rural folks especially in South have seen plenty of snakes in their daily lives.
That was such a Steve Irwin response too!
Reporter: The snake was trying to bite you.
Her: He was just saying hello.
🫶🏼 Steve would be so proud.
Best part is that she wasn’t downplaying the danger, she was right. The snake was flickering its tongue indicating curiosity and not once did it try to strike her
@@pisces2569indeed
Thats actually quite a large snake to find its way into that building.
That's the landlord
Lol, looks like a decent size Bullsnake. XD
He heard there was 🍰 cake 🐍
Unwanted? As opposed to the snake that was invited? 😂
😄
It was the other bridesmaid
Snake was invited by other snakes😊
Awesome 😂👍
Sure, if it was someone's pet
Venomous*
Poisonous: it’s when you ingest the toxin - and this is probably less common. Like, for example, you lick or eat a poison dart frog. Please don’t do it. Poison is a toxin that gets into the body by inhaling, swallowing, or absorption through the skin.
Venomous: it’s when the toxin is injected into you. Examples of this would be a cobra that uses its fangs to inject venom, or a scorpion with its stinger. Venom is a toxin that gets into the body by being injected, usually by a bite or a sting.
In Swedish language we only have one word for venomous-poisonous - giftig. The world "gift" is any thing you harmful you drink or inject. The frogs is called "pilgiftsgroda" - poison dart frog (something) ... a venomous snake is called giftorm ... a bottle with mirky fluid you can find in a den deep under the castle in your adventure game is probably en flaska med gift, a bottle of poison ... maybe it is because we only have one snake that is venomous, so we didn't want to waste our time to different that hazard from the ones you eat like the mushroom with polkadots named flugsvamp, a.k.a. en giftsvamp - poisonous mushroom ... So I think it is difficult for non native English speaker to always remember the difference.
@@SanoyNimbus funny how it's the same thing in German but also even the same word! 😃 Gift - giftig
I was thinking the same thing my guy. I corrected the lady too, I'm like it's venomous not poisonous
Poor journalism error on INSIDE EDITION's part.
@@rainh3861 that and anyone could of done what that woman did, as long as the snake wasn't venomous
If she is brave enough to pick up that snake then she shouldn’t be a victim to no one in this world, mad respect to her.

lol it's a snake, calm down
@@gutwallst6645right

Nah, a human is more dangerous. She still can't go out alone at night without being harassed by a you know what. Bear, snake, you name it, is less likely to make her a victim than a male human. Statistically speaking.
Steve Irwin was a badass. Miss him terribly. Rest in paradise, legend ❤
I can just imagine how elated he was when he got to the other side and realized he could then communicate with animals on the most profound levels

Yeah, the other side of the ground
@@SUGAR_XYLER lol.... I've been there more than once. You'll see for yourself
i love the lasting impact steve's legacy has left
She's so brave for picking it up while being gentle at it. Respect!
But it wouldn't have been so gentle if an elderly woman of large weight, football tacked her so fast her neck jerked back, with them both falling to the ground and the elderly lady rubbing her back, with her accidently throwing the snake and it crawling off angry
She understood the assignment as a bridesmaid.😅
That’s so beautiful. Steve Irwin has made such an impact on the world.
Crickey that girl is now a certified Australian ❤😂
😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
Crikey actually
Rip Steve Irwin Thank you for giving this girl inspiration to not fear snakes
Steve Irwin still teaching us stuff. RIP to him and Congrats to the newlyweds
She's wearing boots at a wedding what did yall expect?
Bad ass sister making sure nothing goes wrong
Meanwhile the groomsmen were in the building... On chairs... With 1 leg raised...Screaming like the bridesmaid who actually caught the flowers!
😅😂🤣
😂🤣🤣
They weren't screaming like bridesmaids, if they were acting like one they would be the ones picking up the snake!
@@jesscaballero8808 that's why I said "bridesmaid who CAUGHT the flowers" rather than just "bridesmaid". Ever hear a bridesmaid scream once she catches that thing? 😂🤣😭

As an Australian l thank you for learning so greatly from our Steve Irwin, you did a great job 👏👏👏👏🙏
From watching Steve Irwin????????? Watching is one thing but then to actually do it is completely different! Lol
Even the non-aussies love Steve Irwin! He truly was a great man. I live only 50 mins away from Australia Zoo too. I remember seeing Steve at least once when I was younger.
We absolutely love Steve Irwin. American here, but watched Steve's show throughout my childhood.

She's a very brave sister!!! Omg .. I am so afraid of snakes 🐍 😪
hello beautiful 😍
There's always a snake in the family.
She seems like the type of person that would make a arduous task a fun experience.
This got even better once they mentioned the woman had learned how to handle snakes from Steve Irwin 😂💗
The snake was 5 feet tall? Nope, the snake was 5 feet long.
Fun Fact is that Venomous* is if the snake bites, Poisonous* is if you eat it. It's an important distinction in the animal kingdom
That’s interesting thank you for sharing 😊❤
To her future husband: she's a keeper
Venomous! Not poisonous.
I mean, it's not poisonous either.
R.I.P. to the legendary and only man of the wild, Crocodile Hunter
How dare they kick out the mother of the groom like that? 😂
Poison is ingested. Venom is injected. What the anchor should've said was "The snake is not venomous.".
I actually didn't know that. Thanks random stranger!
Poisonous when you bite it, VENOMOUS when it bites you! Don’t know why this upsets me lol
*She's a keeper.*
Catching the snake instead of the bouquet! 😂
It was my snake she caught 😡...
Damn girl stole the spotlight from the bride , she removed a snake too .
Sister of the Year!
Most dangerous snakes aren’t poisonous they’re venomous there’s a difference!
Venom is established via a bite or sting to inject toxins.
Where as poisonous applies to organisms that unload toxins when you eat them.
I thought you're supposed to grab snakes near their head to not bite you since they can't rotate their heads that way? How is grabbing them by the tail any safer?
She's lucky it was just a gophur snake and not a rattler.
its so beautiful she treats the snake with such kindness. thank you
Firstly, it's venomous, and secondly, it's long, not tall. How can a snake be 5 ft tall?
When it's standing on its head! 😂
the proper term is venomous, not poisonous.
No snake is “poisonous” they’re called “venomous”
So, not a problem if you eat it ?
It’s a good thing she was fearless and the snake wasn’t poisonous.
*venomous bro venomous!!!!! 😐
1:09 Snakes can be "venomous" (bites and stings), rather than "poisonous" (things we ingest).
I grew up watching Steve Irwin too. My mom and I were heartbroken when we heard about what happened to him. I was still young when it happened. And I also grew up in the country just five miles outside of the town I halfway grew up in. So I’m a country girl. For the most part. I also had to remove a snake from the garage in one of the apartments that I lived in. (I lived with one of my aunts for a few months, until she passed away. But was able to finish out the lease agreement with the landlord.) And we were having an estate sale when I noticed something moving, but I didn’t want to scare the customers, so I waited until I could see what it was. It was a harmless baby garden snake.
I picked it up and carried it to the field across the street from where I lived at the time.
I was 6 when he died, I loved him, I don’t exactly remember my reaction but my mom sure does, she said she’s never seen a kid so depressed. She told me I was a devastated mess.
@@katylepetsos7512 I think I might have been about the same age. Maybe a little older. I was born in 1996.
That blue dress lady was also brave just casually walking in front of the snake and didn't freak out about it...................
Hell yeah. It’s a harmless gopher snake. Thanks for calmly relocating it.
Long live Steve Irwin ✨🐊

I love how Steve Irwin (A.K.A the Crocodile Hunter) legacy still lives on! I lady has my respect.
I was expecting a joke about a family member or in-law being the snake.
Forget about throwing the bouquet, we know who’s getting married next
If there was an award show for bridesmaids, she'd get top prize.

@@warriormaiden9829 still it’s a no for me.
It is also important to be able to properly identify the differences between venomous and non-venomous snakes before handling one.
The homie was chillin
The snake is just dangling like OK! I’m sorry!! 😑 🤣🤣😆😆
Steve Irwin rest in peace mate
“you’re not ruining my special day”
Fearless? or maybe she was Educated enough to know it was a non-venomous snake, after all she did pick him up from his back end which is the worst possible way to handle a venomous snake
(but if anything she was afraid or disgusted, she was holding it like a bloody tampon)
That’s the bravest thing she ever done
Steve Irwin would be proud. Big thumbs up to this chick.

Oh Lord. Even a picture am scared because I had a trauma with snake when I was a kid. And when I got here in North Carolina I saw like that big snake a black one at my yard. I had a nightmare for 6months. Like a snake was chasing me or I saw in my dreams that my garden is full of snakes , I screamed in the middle of the night I salute to this girl.
