The real magic of exploring spirits is exactly that moment where you find something that lands perfectly for you. It's what makes sharing new bottles with someone else so great, because you know exactly what they're feeling, and it makes the experience so much more rewarding.
Cedar Ridge is doing good things. Their single barrels, barrel proof, and single malts are really good.
Love the 4 blind flights. So fun
Bought a bottle of the Cedar Ridge Malt immediately upon tasting it.
That one was my favorite and also my daughter’s fave. We live in different states. We taste our blind bottles together over face time. @blindbarrels #blindbarrels
All you ever need is a

1oz cointreau
1oz fresh lime juice

Something Ive noticed through a few of your episodes I’ve watched, while binging your videos, is that sometimes someone doesnt get the palate. I wanted to address this with your most recent vid as thats the most likely to reach you. But when you dont get the palate, I get that too. Something I’ve found actually helps me is practicing i guess what they call the “Kentucky chew”. Im basically smacking my lips and also smacking my tongue to the roof of my mouth like im sucking on a werthers original. If i do this before the finish is completely gone, it actually revives the flavors for me. As for not getting the nose, or ethenol only, try swirling it right before nosing it. Or blow across the top like you wanna make your corona toot. You may have already been doing that last part, but it’s something I’ve found helps. Maybe someone else reading this needed that info.
Great comment. We actually do that, but cut that part out in the edit. Mouth noises are a pet peeve of ours.
I am from Iowa and my local has a store pick on the Cedar Ridge. Cheers 🥃
Wow. I think Erin and I have the exact same palette. From Rare Breed to Amer. Single Malt. Not lying. Went out and bought cedar ridge based off your video. I think I’ve said this before. Y’all and SLB are the only ones I watch. Always great stuff. and Whiskey
Whiskey guy from way back in the day and Erin is on point for me. I just need to figure out whether she is a 50+ year old guy or if I am a casual rye loving lady. Perhaps there is a point in the middle.
Love the reviews. Heading out for the Nashville Barrel right now, and thank you for putting in the amount of work it takes to maintain a channel of this quality.
I'm from Clarksville, and when you come visit MB Roland, stop by the Old Glory Distillery restaurant in Clarksville. There is some fun craft whiskey to be had on the Stateline Whiskey tour (Casey Jones, MB Roland, and Old Glory).
I really like this video. I’m glad to know is they given whisk(e)y from actually distilleries than their own products like wine set boxes.
The March box was my first after learning about Blind Barrel from y'all. Thank you.
These Blind Barrel videos are some of my favorites! Whether or not I subscribe, I like getting your blind feedback on new distilleries / new bottles.
How ironic NBC showed up in this Blind Barrel flight.
Great video! Really enjoyed the format of this one
Yall making me pull my Dec box back out for another go. Love the Blind Barrel experience.
Cedar Ridge Quintessential is awesome! I had a regular and a limited release shipped to Memphis 6 months ago. I'm going to introduce it to my local store and see if they can start carrying some of their offerings.
Oh yes! The Cedar Ridge The Quintessential! You have to try the Cask Strength! Great video.
Until last weekend, I had never been to MB Rowland, nice place and good craft whiskey! Cheers!
This was a great video. I went and ordered a subscription and was so excited to also get a free glass I forgot to put your code in. haha Thanks for making this video. I like your content and style!
I Googled the Cedar Ridge and I'll see if I can order it in locally. I recently tried a bottle of Town Branch American single malt. It's pretty good. I went to Dallas over the weekend and did a curbside haul. I picked up a Bear Fight ASM and my first Amburana. I'm loving the RD1 Amburana 😊🥃
A-aron...hysterical Erin! Now go see O'Shaq Hennessy!!😂
Great blind ,found something else I can spend some money on lol.Much love from West Tennessee
Really enjoy your content and such detailed reviews! Thanks
Just ordered the annual subscription using your code!!!
Enjoy! They’re a ton of fun!
I'm from Iowa, and will have to give the Cedar Ridge QuintEssential a buy. Thanks for the review!
If you like those notes on the Cedar Ridge have you tried Compass Box Orchard House or Spice Tree?
We haven’t but have samples of each that we look forward to trying!
45 minutes from MB Roland? What are you waiting for? Go for it.
Prices? I got got the first one
Cool video, thank you
Another great episode. Quick question. Is barrel spice notes the same as baking spice notes or are they different?
Good question. Different. Baking spices are a group of flavors like cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, etc. Barrel spice is more of a sensation like black pepper spice but without the flavor of black pepper, or similar to how some sodas can have a similar sensation on the tongue.
Want to get theses and will be doing so soon. Great review and I’ll support any company that does cancer donations. Lost my Sister to cancer. I’m a big fan of NBC. My state did a pick of a rye from NBC that is just fantastic. Enjoy!!
WHISKEY CHEERS 😎
How large are the Bling Barrell samples? I am wondering if there is enough to share with another couple.
50ml
@@MangoSurferDude Thanks!
Splitting with 2-3 folks would be comfortable. Splitting what 4 people would be only a couple of sips of each sample.
They still don't ship to my state 44 out of 50 states. why can't they just ship to all 50 states. I would sign up in a heartbeat. :(
Shipping laws are a pain for sure.
2nd comment 🎉 love your content guys
Happy for a single malt? Ugh
Single malts can be awesome, especially if you like light and fruity flavor profiles.
Seriously, 106.9 🤷♂️ where's all the jokes! 😬
I’ll have to rewatch to catch this reference. Not understanding the comment.
@@stuffandwhiskey ahhh... Just a reference to a bad, gross perhaps, joke.
