This is why Nikke's writing is so good , they don't shy away from tension between FRIENDLY characters , this way the story can be more character driven and a lot more interesting than in some other gatcha's that are too scared to pit characters against each other that are on the same side.
Chapter 0: Vidia falls in love with the first Nikke she met Chapter 1: Said Nikke gets corrupted and a pistol is pointed at her head. Start of Chapter 12: Vidia doesn't have good impressions of Matis, particularly of Laplace. Throughout Chapter 12: she slowly warms up to Matis End of Chapter 12: Matis gets corrupted and Laplace points a pistol to her head. Vidia is beginning to see a pattern here, but she's not sure she likes it.

I simultaneously started watching first time players, but you struck me as the most lore hungry and you actually paid attention to the tiny details, so it was fun watching your videos. Plus, your reactions are funny. And since you were playing in Eng Dub, I guess it's a new experience for me since I did Japanese and Korean. Eunhwa was my strongest Nikke back in the day. Really liked her too because of her design despite the constant forehead jokes I've seen from the community lol and so she's been part of every battle ever since I pulled her. Looking forward to seeing you get to the later chapters, cheers!
Thanks for making these videos. I skipped through a lot of the story through chapter 5-15 because I got a little bit bored of the story at some points and this helps me fill in the gaps in my knowledge about the story. From what i know so far the NIMPH can serve many functions within the brain. It can store and remember memories and data. Meaning if their brain is destroyed, if the NIMPH in the brain was not completely destroyed, it can be taken to write the data onto a blank slate brain for them to have the same memories and resume as usual It can control/restrict actions in the brain (ie: they cannot intentionally kill humans it can also control emotions like fear) It can make repairs to a damaged brain. So its mainly there to Maintain, Repair and Control the brain.
This is why I love watching others react to chapters after I play them, I noticed things that I was too much into the story to notice. I never realized Vesti was shooting rockets at them besides Eunhwa. The ONE Nikke you do not want to get on the bad side of within the Ark Nikkes is Vesti, even Eunhwa knows not to take her elitest bs with Vesti too far. If she's not crying or smiling....you best be running and/or getting to your nearest Emma!
I quite enjoy how fun Laplace and Drake are, but my friend that got me back into playing is partial to Maxwell-maxxing. Also a fun fact: at the time this story was available, laplace was still in npc jail, so the threat of her demise was much more severe from what i have heard.
I find it funny how relieved you were when you thought the tentacles were a better alternative to what you were expecting. Little did you know, it was actually the worse thing imaginable. Plus, in most games with character designs like this its, "Oh no, testicles~" But in Nikke its, "Oh fuck, tentacles!"
Your 3 Pilgrims already set you up till Chapter 34. Those 3 carry me throughout the whole story Edit: If you have Eunhwa and played her bond story, you'll understand why she's like that. (And she's cute)
Concering your theory why so many Nikkes were underground: It was not specified how old they are. They could be from the time of the invasion, where they died in numerous amounts. I don't think rhe current Central Government is to blame here too much.
I watched all the NIKKE vids and completely love your reaction to all the twisted plots. Since you have already done Old Tales, and you're currently at ch.16 (according to the comment), I wonder if you've done the Red Ash and OverZone stories. If not, you should go check it out before reaching ch.24. Also, your playlist order really confused me at first, because you were at ch.3 then suddenly at ch.15 on Old tales part 1 vid, so, it would be great if you put the NIKKE playlist in order by the date you've played.
Man the Matis interaction is different in the dub I play JP and after complaining about not having a pillow Drake just starts snoring instead of going ouch Same goes for Laplace
English localization is criminally bad. Sometimes, you can't even blame it on incompetence because the localizers *brag* about butchering the original work.

Fairy Tail: Hundred Year Quest. Has every bit of the cliches and stereotypes the original always leaned into. Highly recommend. Peak seriousness and peak silliness, as all things Fairy Tail should be. Alice with overclocked gear with the right stats beats Red Hood. Laplace with high investment also trounces Red Hood. At this point, Red Hood being a benchmark is a year old. Power creep is real. "Ark leadership lost 400 Nikkes and nobody noticed?" ELL OHH ELL! The government of my country lost over a billion dollars! Nobody knows where it went! Government sucks at EVERYTHING it does! Nikke Central Government just being realistic!
Manual Alice beating Red Hood was never anything new. But people acting like Red Hood was ever top DPS, especially after Black Shadow released, is hilariously naive. She's ONE of the strongest, but never THE strongest. Alice having such great synergy with the top DPS for 10 months only made her so much better. Red Hood is great for new players because of her versatility, and not needing Alice's level of investment to do damage. And now that the 2nd anni has come and gone, Cinderella is comfortably sitting as the top boss DPS above even Black Shadow, thanks to a bug that made her do double her stated damage.

feels like a nikke anime would be better with a style like edge runner. it takes place in the same setting of cp 2077 but it has its own characters and story. maybe have some mass produced nikkes going thru missions and grow from their experiences. you could have some ssrs like absolute or a pilgrim show up in one episode and leave the commander unmentioned or mentioned only. could have it take place before the start of the games showing how desperate things got and have the last survivor encounter the commander during the tutorial.
