    Small, simple, SUPERB! You've outdone yourself with this one, Andy! With the outdoor shots, one would swear it is real rock and a genuine Middle East setting. Please keep up the good work as we know you will. THANK YOU for all your efforts to instruct and to inspire.

    Hey Andy I love the dioramas. I would love if you could make a dessert /sand dune diorama. Anyway have a nice day and keep up the good work.

    Those outside shots make it look so natural especially the rock face, the little bushes blowing in the wind, just fantastic, gives me some great tips for my IDF M51 super sherman i'm building, was only going to have it in my display case, but now......i think a diorama is called for after watching this!

    You can use poster paints as base paints and PVA glue instead of modgepodge it's much more cost effective.

    Another great job Andy! Thanks for sharing, all these videos on technique and color mixing are really helping me understand the nuts and bolts of modeling. I haven't started buying anything yet but when I do I will most certainly be coming to ask the Master for help.
    Thanks again.

    Nicely done diorama, but it is necessary to adapt Magach. In this shape is like when he has to drive on the highway!
    You must dust the tank!

    I saw those molds the last time I was in our store....aluminum foil works great, too, as you can crunch up the foil as much as you'd like for texture.
    Just another idea for those who may not be able to make it into your store, to buy the molds.

    Looks very realistic, makes me want a cold drink its that dry. One thing bugging me though is I think the vehicle should be placed further up the incline so theres not such a big gap behind, maybe even facing uphill ? Instead of "glueing" the tank onto the base you could descretely pin it through the tracks in a couple of spots. Enough to prevent mishaps but still removable.

    I am amazed the end results of all the models that you do....I think that the cost of materials would be very expensive for the average hobbyist considering you seem to use only well recognized brand names...could similar results be expected using off the shelf hobby supplies?

    Great diorama, but I have one question. Wouldn't the tank weight mean that is sunk into the ground and not touch the surface

  • @redmist1122
    @redmist1122 7 років тому

    I notice in your last two videos about building the diorama base you used grout for the final texture coating. What type is recommended? I take it there is no premixing, just a spritz of the water bottle on it which hardens it? Excellent tutorial. Thanks for posting.

    Hello from Greece. I love your channel.
    A question about the trees used in a diorama, is there a way to find specific types of trees or I need to scatchbuild them? I m asking because one of the most common trees in the Mediteranean area is the olive tree which I can't find anywhere.

    Would spraying a release agent in to the Woodland Scenes mold help with the release of the dry Hydrocal? Or does it release fine without it?

    • @DominicFawver
      @DominicFawver 7 років тому

      You don't need to use any release agent with the plaster, its a rubber mold and you can just peel the mold of the pieces.
      Another way to use the mold is to pour a much thinner layer, once it sets you can then break the pieces you get and re-arrange them in a new way to create different looks.

      Jordan Martinez if want to paint it don't have the wheels and track on first

    • @jackwaters9343
      @jackwaters9343 7 років тому

      Jordan Martinez, Tank kits are too hard for beginners, I'd recommend doing a 1/72 plane, theirs a channel called quick kits that give a good insight at how to create a model for beginners.

    • @DilophoMS
      @DilophoMS 7 років тому

      Tank kits, especially the ones with rubber-tracks and without interior, are much easier than planes, because there aren't glass parts, like a canopy, or small interior details and you don't have to worry about a flawless surface. You can mask almost every mistake with chipping, pigments or other dirt.
      In general, I wouldn't recommend Dragon kits, because there are too many small parts, which can be frustrating for a beginner.

  • @Nat20han
    @Nat20han 7 років тому +5

    yeah don't glue it down to the diorama, you never know, you might find some neat techniques down the road and think it'll be good for the diorama. Don't wanna have it glued down then. Or maybe you might wanna redo the whole thing, and you could re use the model. Just an idea.

    at first i thought I want to go to the hobby store to buy and start building the great scenery but after 6 in a row with tanks just killed me sigh.... I wish you would get some other scenery with out war stuff... Instead with camping, bears, water, beach etc so i can see what else you have
