I was surprised to see those fast Times on a relatively stock engine? I read your build sheet and I think it's your rear end gives you those fast Times, nice set up. I was just given a clean 96 hard top V6. Setting up for 5.3 clone = 327 Camaro for pennies on the dollar. Lowering those gears certainly makes it more fun to drive you get lose at top 2ed, thanks for posting cheers from north CA!

What altitude are you running at? I'm assuming fairly high because around here at ~500 ft below you would probably run better. Typically with our air and DA here stock LS1 F bodies go 12.9-13.2 (6 speed) 13.1-13.4 (A4) and My old 99 SS went 12.69 with just long tubes and a lid. 332rwhp/3386lbs

Cody Maxwell They're not that heavy. Especially compared to new Camaros and Mustangs. They weigh around 3500 lbs stock but a lot of weight can be knocked off of them by switching to aftermarket headers, catback and a 15 inch drag pack wheel/tire combo.
Heavy...what are you talking about, my 99 SS m6 weighs 3600 with factory heavy suspension and full interior, nothing removed from the car at all. It's got H/C/I, 12 bolt w/ 4.10s and a Ram clutch. At my local shitty track, I had 16 MT et streets and blasted out of the hole at 1.4 60ft then I don't know what happened, the tires broke loose. I stayed in the throttle, while looking at the driverside track wall, powershifted 2nd and the ass-end kicked around and now looking at the other lanes track wall...stayed in throttle and powershifted 3rd...finally straightened out and ran the rest out till hit 4th...ended up with a 12.2@124mph. The announcer was saying "oh, boy...he's getting a little squirrelly down there", as I was counter-steering my ass off. Lol These cars are not heavy at all, and love power. My SS is easily a very low 11 sec car, I personally think a really good track and weather...it could possibly be a high 10, 10.90s, maybe.

They sound like the rock in you car!! i have the stock 3.42's in now. i ran a best of 12.79. Hopefully the 3.90's can drop me a little. And hopefully the 10 bolt holds up.
Delete the crush washer on the rear end and use the shim kit instead! The 10 boult are light and so plentiful and cheap! it doesn't make sense to go away from them for the f body unless u are serious quarter mile'r I found an abandoned trans am had torsion LSD, I came back the next night for the late style front steering knuckles! 4 corner disc brake upgrade for almost free. Get these parts now because pick N pull is chopping them up super fast they're on a boat to China every three days from Hayward California it sucks,

This car is tuned for its mods. I think you are plenty capable of getting into the 12s with the mods that you have listed. It's all about getting a good launch and a good 60 foot.

It's auto with 3.73s, ssra, ported tb, cat deletes, magnaflow muffler, founders lca's/panhard, skinnies, mild weight reduction(3270 lbs) and made 328 whp/355 lb ft. I did 12.5 at 110 with a 1.8 on drag radials. stock converter meant it actually went slower on tire. Still had stock y pipe and manifolds, good to see a healthy ls1.
OrangeSpeedTV is the stock driveshaft a bad idea? I know the stock 10 bolt rears are garbage but I haven't heard of much trouble with their driveshafts

So my question is how much ground clearance do you have? Because your car seems a little higher than mine...if you can get back to me I'd appreciate it thanks
This is discouraging to me. I have all of the same bolt ons but with a tsp torquer 2 cam swap. Still on stock heads and intake manifold. I have a tune from the best around here. I put 379whp on a dyno jet. My best time is 12.84 at 111mph with a 60' of 2.00 . I also recently installed a 9" rear end but it only robbed about 1mph off of my trap speed which use to be 112mph.
dBluZee Nice what was the 60' and what were you launching at? I have a 01 with full-bolts-ons. Stock 10bolt with 4.10's. I got a 12.9 @111 with just a little launch. 275 tire. 3570 race weight.
LSX01Nation The 60' on the 12.61 was a 1.98. I believe he was launching around 2500-3000, I'm not the one driving here. Sweet, there is another video on my channel of a 02 SS that looks like a twin to this one with 4.10's he was running a 12.71 on a drag radial. He was slipping the clutch on the launch to be easy on that 10 bolt.
dBluZee Yeah that's what i was doing. My 60 was a 2.0 i believe. I was just on crappy tires. I need to take my rear apart to see if the previous owner beefed it up at all since they put the gears in it. I enjoy the videos. Keep them coming.

you could still add electric water pump, u/d pulley, and LS6 intake.

i do 12.9 with my 2v mustang bolt ons. running about 270 whp. idk cause never been on dyno or tuned lol
